I know pretty much nothing about decks but I did see some with a L and R mic. Presumably, this would allow you to record two tracks at once and flip the tape for the other two

I had this Aluratek, it was okay until the car would warm up 30 minutes about. After that the plastic would expand which would cause the head in the adapter to move around a bit making the music distort. Eventually if it got warm enough maybe an hour of driving, the plastic would expand enough to throw the gears out of alignment cause it to jam up in the head unit.

I replaced it with one of these SCOSCHE FM units, have not had any problems with it, even in FM bandwidth crowded urban areas.
