I had a more recent version, but this still provided some nostalgia.

>I never understood people who say this
It's poking fun at the people that say all asians look the same.
I dislike this "bitmap fonts are old, therefore bad" statement. On a terminal, I only use bitmap fonts, and every single person who has walked past my workstation for the first time always comments on the cleanliness of the font.
For the record I use Dina (8).
I used to, back in Win7, ninja the taskbar away with RunAndHide. When linking this .exe file to a skin, for instance when you click your clock, it would completely remove the taskbar, even the few pixels left with 'Auto Hide Task bar'.
Dual Link DVI is fine, check the cable to see "if all the pins are there". It'll make one large rectangle of pins and some others on the side, instead of 2 squares.
You might like a clipboard manager. I use Klipper in Linux. I think there is a Windows version. Otherwise, there are at least one or two similar programs for Windows.
There are also a few clipboard managers and other interesting tools here: http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/index.html
I used DragKing and MoveInactiveWin for a while.
Look into the application Desktop Coral. http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/desktopcoral/
It allows you to create an invisible clicktroughable window that other programs will see as a window and therefore dock under it.
Should fix your issue.
Wrong. Voltage is pressure. Current (expressed in Amperes) is the amount of flow.
Voltage isn't what kills you (tasers operate at a few hundred thousand volts but have almost no current), current is. See this chart
Print Screen should put a screenshot in your clipboard. Go to Word or MS Paint and paste it. If you're on a laptop it might be FN + Print Screen.
http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/screenshotcaptor/ is a great program to make saving and archiving desktop screenshots easier.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ckibcdccnfeookdmbahgiakhnjcddpki is a Chrome extention that will make a screenshot of the page you're viewing.
you could also try my grid - the simple v1 one .. although the advanced will also do it - requires GridMove.
don't worry if you don't have a secondary monitor.
if you want to get really efficient at repositioning things, you can also install AltDrag, just for the snapping capabilities.
I would write an autohotkey script that blocks all the input you dont need for xbmc and waits for a key combo to unlock. Something like this should do the trick. http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/BlockInput/BlockInput.ahk
Try Url Snooper. This finds the url of the stream, and then you can usually download it by pasting the url in the address bar of a browser, or by using a download manager. Don't think it's ever let me down when it comes to to saving awesome ~~porno~~ Youtube-movies.
There are several clipboard managers for Linux, but I don't know if any of them have this feature. The few that I've tried in Windows didn't have anything like this.
Here is a short list of Windows clipboard managers. They don't mention this behavior, but it might be worth checking into.
Depending on the amount of this work you'll have to do, it might be worth learning Autohotkey and building your own stack/heap style clipboard manager.
Edit: If you go the Autohotkey route, you might look into the code for DragKing as a good starting point.
Once you install obvious, you put
require("obvious.clock")
in the declarations at the start of your rc.lua and
obvious.clock()
in the section where you declare wibox widgets.
I think the default font for the calendar box is something like Deja Vu Sans Mono, but I've used dina because it's my terminal font, and I like everything to match :)
For further reference, see the awesome wiki or my awesome configuration (you should theoretically be able to clone that repo into your XDG_CONFIG_HOME/awesome/ once you have the relevant fonts and other dependencies installed, but I haven't actually tried this yet, so I can't guarantee at all that it works)
Oh and for anyone who are interested you can download other custom grid templates that are not included in the default install from the forum!
I use Find and Run Robot for a launcher. Just assign it a hotkey, bring it up and start typing, it'll find what you're looking for.
For macros and scripting I use AutoHotkey, a powerful and relatively easy scripting program. I must admit, though, that it's not for everyone. If you enjoy programming, give it a shot. I have scripts that do all sorts of things, from launching programs / actions from hotkeys to a color-fader for chat in my favorite game, Nexuiz.
Il suffit juste de "sniffer" les liens officiels pour trouver le M3U ou encore de faire une recherche sur Github dans les sources d'addons pour Kodi qui sont mise à jour régulièrement.
Made this script to start DB and set it to high. Tested on win7, should work on any version though.
echo off start steam://rungameid/333930
:loop FOR /F %%x IN ('tasklist /NH /FI "IMAGENAME eq ShooterGame-Win32-Shipping.exe"') DO IF %%x == ShooterGame-Win32-Shippin goto setp goto loop
:setp wmic process where name="ShooterGame-Win32-Shipping.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority" exit
Create a new txt file an rename it with .bat extension, edit it with notepad and paste this code in there. You could make a shortcut to this and add the the DB icon through windowns for your desktop or add it to steam as an external app if you want to launch it through there.
Or you could run Process tamer in the background all the time
I'm with you. Unfortunately there is no market for desktop search programs. You have X1, but it costs a fortune and I haven't seen a pirated version. You could try and find an old Copernic version.
More here: http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2434.875
Have you thought about hiding the taskbar? PushToShow will hide the taskbar until the windows key is pressed. I use it and it really helps clean up my desktop.
Errrr, this is awkward, but I think I solved it right after I posted this. I found a Keylogger (http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=11568.msg93431) that allows you to add whatever key you want to list and it tracks how many times you press that key. It nice and simple AND you can clear the counts with a single button press.
I am going to leave this here in case anyone else ever searches for something like this, or maybe someone has a better solution. Ugh, now I need a custom "keyboard" that fits the shape of my hand!
Here's another option: Download a copy of RunAndHide v1.0 from 1 Hour Software. Here's an example meter:
[ToggleTaskbar] Meter=String StringAlign=Left FontFace=Consolas FontColor=00FF00FF FontSize=12 StringStyle=NORMAL AntiAlias=1 LeftMouseUpAction=[RunAndHide.exe] X=0r Y=20R Text=[Toggle Taskbar]
Dimmer is supposed to support multi-monitors whenever the Beta gets released.
Try this old utility ->Ghoster, the .INI file has settings for multi-monitor/opacity/backcolor and there's a remote chance it might do what you want. With 'multimon' set = 1 it's supposed to dim all monitor screens ...then click to give your main monitor app focus and it should un-dim.
You could try posting your work over at http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php or posting a request in their "Coding Snacks" sub-forum. They've completed a couple of requests for me and helped me with a script or two of my own.
Well, you can do it easily without AHK. Simply use screenshot command line tools, like MiniCap, with destination parameter like your dropbox folder (assuming dropbox is installed on that server), and use Task Scheduler to launch it periodically.
I believe was thinking of Process Tamer and its ability to set rules for how the process priority etc can be set.
Not sure if it meets all your needs, but it might.
I used that for a while and at some point gave up on it, it escapes me why, but there was some downside. Maybe it clogged my SSD with a huge database at some point?
Anyway, I was thinking launchers might indeed be good. Ideally, they would also let me switch to an open window AND have a remembered location for their popup window. Pretty sure everything doesn't do the former. Launchy might?
I used Find And Run Robot for a long time after I gave up on everything. Haven't used it lately, I'll check it out again, thanks for the reminder!
I use Ghoster though I have at one time also used Le Dimmer.
Both are extremely simple, no installation just double click and run.
Hope that helps!
Edit: Ghoster defaults are quite transparent, To edit the dim factor just right click on tray icon and click Settings.
A notepad file opens, scroll down to see “transparency=150″. You can set transparency factor 0-255. Once you’ve edited, save the notepad file then restart.
Lifehacker article about DesktopCoral: http://lifehacker.com/319540/reserve-space-from-maximized-windows-with-desktopcoral
Link to the software itself: http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/desktopcoral/index.html
I see two solutions :
^Personally, ^I ^would ^prefer ^the ^first ^one.
As an developer, programmer or as an user?
http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?board=317.0
I learn all about free software through magazines. So visited some of there websites. I'm sure they have some kind of discussion board there.
If you ask me, I don't use snipping tool. I use a third party app, which is screenshot-captor, for two main reasons:
http://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/popular-apps/screenshot-captor
desktop coral http://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/other-windows-apps/desktopcoral www.displayfusion.com/ your monitor should have some settings to change the H & V position
I went to tunein and sniffed the cbc streams. I use Applian Url Finder (payware) and sometimes URL Snooper (by donation).
Noting here that workers should keep records of their work. A Desktop app called Automatic Screenshotter makes that easy. http://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/popular-apps/automatic-screenshotter
It is especially important to keep records when working for Neevo.
As you say, Test-Cluster is not a 'proper' command because it does not return an object.
$Result = Test-Cluster will not work.
So for automation, you need to parse the .mht starting with Get-Content c:\path\test-cluster.mht
It might be simpler to 'flatten' the .mht file to text only
Possible ways

Guide on converting a tape to play in the 2XL emulator here
The above link goes into detail how to extract each track.
I know pretty much nothing about decks but I did see some with a L and R mic. Presumably, this would allow you to record two tracks at once and flip the tape for the other two
Hi .o/
I don't think it can do diagrams, but sPinger can use custom icons/colors.
And you can ask the author to add features if you want.
I have the exact same CPU and display resolution but use a dedicated GPU. But I'll definitely try it without the GPU if I have the time.
I think your problem is that one of the DVI ports (presumably the motherboard one, as it worked with your GPU) is Single link, and can't transfer enough data for this resolution to work. Check your ports (and cable) against this chart to find out.
Anyway I strongly suggest using HDMI. If you can't maybe reducing the frequency to 30Hz (to reduce bandwidth) can work as a temporary solution.
On firefox: Thanks to the free "imacro" addon, with one bookmark click which saves webpages as htm (with its related folder and files: images,...etc..). Note: I also save it as a simple htm and txt file at the same time. I use these last parts as a test in order to save the htm pages as free Google Docs (google adds itself the related images inside the Google doc) in Google Drive with Syncdocs. See http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=23782.msg215928 (I don't use FireGestures anymore as I was saving too unnecessary webpages !).
Here is what the imacro code looks like currently (keep only the first "saveas" row in order to save webapges as htm with its related folder and files):
VERSION BUILD=7000908 RECORDER=FX
TAB T=1
SAVEAS TYPE=CPL FOLDER=C:\Users\F\Documents\B\1{{!NOW:dd}} FILE={{!NOW:yyyymmdd_hhnnss}}
SAVEAS TYPE=TXT FOLDER=C:\Users\F\Documents\B\1{{!NOW:dd}} FILE={{!NOW:yyyymmdd_hhnnss}}
SAVEAS TYPE=HTM FOLDER=I:\s\F\m{{!NOW:dd}} FILE={{!NOW:yyyymmdd_hhnnss}}
TAB T=1
TAB CLOSE
I tested saving in mht from IE a long time ago, but it did not worked correctly for some webpages ! ;(
Oh my god guys. Guys... I found one of the best things ever. You know f.lux right? That thing Pat talked about a few times around the time the Mirrors Edge LP came around? For those who don't know f.lux its a progam that dims your laptop over the course of a day so its not blinding white on your eyes.
I found a thing called DimScreen and it takes it further so you can make it dimmer! Its great! And if you want it back to normal you can change it on your toolbar.
Any new anime anyone recommends? I've been SOOOO far behind the last couple of season (only really been watching Everyday lives of Stand Users really).
Anyone else planning on getting the Take your heart edition of Persona 5? That's gonna be my little gift to me (when I can save the money lol)
>When I'm surfing late at night the Address bar is always burning in my eyes
You can try a screen dimer app for reading at night...like DimScreen (works in Windows 10 too)...
http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/index.html#DimScreen
Hmm you might want to take a look at Text Inspection and Manipulation Utility ( freeware, see http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=36544.0 ), it can be called from command line and may be able to do what you need.
Am not 100% sure about that yet, but if I get bored at my workplace tomorrow, I might look into it ;)
And if you just want pure dimming and not the color shifting of f.lux, look into DimScreen.
This will not help with your power consumption thought, since it just puts a filter on the display to dim your screen, not by lowering the backlight level.
I've been using RunAndHide to show/hide my taskbar, usually attached to a meter like so:
LeftMouseUpAction=[wherever you put it\RunAndHide.exe]
Some ten years ago I had an idea for a software that would help you create an outline based on text excerpts, and automatically help you compile a bibliography... If you're looking for ways to expand this project of yours. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
You mean the way that when I fullscreen the program it fits to the bars rather than over them? DesktopCoral. I used to use MaxMax however it doesn't play nice with either Windows 10 or my new monitor and constantly forces the fit size on my primary screen as well if I move a window back to it. Yet to experience an issue with DesktopCoral, though you will want to get the free licence from their site or it will nag on startup.
I've been using RunAndHide to show/hide my taskbar, usually attached to a meter like so:
LeftMouseUpAction=[wherever you put it\RunAndHide.exe]
You can try MultiMonMan. Pretty old but still works on Windows 8.1 (and presumably Windows 10 although I have not tried it).
Description:
Watch and control multiple monitors.
Features:
Shows what's going on on your other monitors
Click-through and drag-through
Resize and move windows
Choose Save Setup to save window arrangement
Nice setup !
Is there a trick to make the font (Dina) look so sharp or is it only through the OS X font rendering ? Mine doesn't look as sharp
May I ask you from where you've fonud the font ? Mine's from there (through Gentoo's portage)
Solved.
Use Process Tamer to limit the process to only 90% the cpu and force normal priority. This way thrashing is avoided and the apps are smoother than before.
/u/Incomplete_Usernam does that replace the x with the z all the time?
I was going to suggest using this nifty little application called Accents.
No installation necessary. Double click to run. It will run in tray, right-click it then select Settings. You will get a notepad window that lets you edit the keys. Since we're not looking to type accents here you can delete everything. Paste the following in the text file:
[Settings] delay=1
[1] key=x 1=x 2=z 3=Z
Save then close the file. Right-click the Accents app in the tray and click Exit. Now open Accents again and the update should take effect.
When you press "x" once you will type the letter "x" when you press it twice, you will get "z", press it 3 times and you get "Z".
Unfortunately, I don't think it can help with the CTRL-Z situation as that is a system command. For that, you could use AutoHotKey to send the CTRL-Z command any time you press CTRL-SHIFT-X. So you're new undo command short cut would be CTRL-SHIFT-X.
Let me know if Ethervane ActiveHotkeys works for you. Here's a screenshot of my key bind (,), after Mumble opens. When it closes, and I test the hotkeys again, it says No under Active.
As far as the mouse goes, if all else fails, maybe try HotKey Commander. To me, it sounds like something is grabbing focus and re-assigning the global hotkey and mousekeys on certain events. Perhaps check eventvwr.msc to see if there are any errors at or around the time you lose your keybind.
> then I was forced to change resolution to one I didn't like at all.
Are you sure you have a dual-link DVI cable? It should be able to support 1920x1080 at 144 Hz. Make sure your cable has connectors in the middle like the dual-link DVI cables in this image. If your cable doesn't have enough bandwidth to support your full resolution at 144 Hz, I wouldn't be surprised if it forced you to a lower resolution.
GridMove is quite nice, if a bit fiddly to configure.
xiphergrid1 is my favourite setup.
It's a Steam launcher I made for rainmeter along with a few others which I've listed in the description. And I used Desktop Coral to make it act like a taskbar, so windows don't maximize over it.
Correct. You can see the different types of DVI connections here. You would need to use a DVI-I Dual Link cable to hit 120/144hz, which if your monitor is capable of said refresh rate, it would have come with the cable you need.
It's been awhile since I've used XP, but you can try using this freeware program called TheEnd which deselects the file type extension when renaming files under XP.
Click on the link above, then scroll down the page a bit, or search for "TheEnd" in your browser.
Wow, big project. Picasa was going to be my suggestion until I saw what you wanted to do. That's heavy-duty photo management territory and none of the enterprise products I have used have any type of facial recognition. They rely on robust metadata entry at time of ingest.
My other suggestion would be Lightroom, but no facial recognition there, and iffy trying to share work.
How many actual assets are in that 300GB pool?
Here's a discussion thread I found that has some other options, but nothing as a slam-dunk - http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=25467

Also, I once found a bug and I worked with the programmer to fix it. IIRC it had to do with a bmp that was causing a problem with AutoHotKey.
This is a small AutoHotKey script that originally came from here. If you want to try and fix it for multimonitor stuff, source and everything is posted on that page.
Most of the people at my workplace that use Dreamweaver don't know how to code in the first place and rely on the wysiwyg of Dreamweaver to get by. I live and die by Sapien PrimalScript. Has been my text editor of choice for the past 6-7 years. Especially when used with Dina programming font.
There's a great script called DoOver that you can use to record actions and play them back:
http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/#DoOver
(Although for some reason it doesn't record the 'v' in ctrl+v properly, so you need to right-click the notification area icon and edit the ini file. In Notepad++, the bad 'v' character shows up as a special 'SYN' character)
Screenshot Captor Donationware - free lifetime license for the asking - a program for taking screenshots on your computer. It's different from other screenshot utilis in several notable ways . . . .
I used to just have an autohotkey shortcut to hide and then used an unhide last shortcut or Wherzit to show.
PushToShow seems useful and specifically for the taskbar, but I'm away from windows for a few days so I can't check.
If you are using Windows, I would recommend Dina. Not too small, not too big, and nicely proportioned. I use it everyday with GVIM.
Did you also know that VideoLan/VLC can play Youtube videos?
Thanks for the info. However...
Dropcloth is 404.
Jedi Concentrate does nothing on my system as far as I can tell - just a taskbar icon that lets you exit.
I also found Ghoster linked from the Jedi Concentrate site, but that only dims a single monitor on my system, even though there is a setting to enable multi-monitor mode. This makes it useless for what I want.
Back to the drawing board, I guess.
Dina (TTF version). I used to prefer vector fonts such as Consolas and Liberation Sans Mono, but the fact that I don't have to do anything to get Dina looking perfect is a huge boon. It's also readable at smaller sizes (8px), so now I can view more code.
i had to set this program up on a friends old pc laptop with a crack on one side of the screen, but i know of no such thing for macs.
the issue is, on any OS, and this partially hardware.. that lowering the screen resolution to just the working part of the screen, if it would even display, would only display it centered. you would need to find(or come up with) some sort of software solution that would use the full resolution, but restrict the OS to only an arbitrary section.
even with desktop coral, i still had to move the taskbar to the vertical orientation on the working part of the screen. and since OSX doesn't use X server like linux, i really can't think of any hackery that would accomplish this.
i'd honestly say just do what i did with my macbook pro with a 1/3rd cracked screen. plug it into an external monitor and use it as a desktop as much as possible. you might be able to limp it along with it's own screen if you use mirror mode and drag the windows to the working part of the display before you disconnect the monitor.
is it just a normal white macbook also? the LCDs for those are <$80 now as i remember, maybe even less than 60... it might just be worth fixing.
