Depends on what you want to do. For assembling furniture and hanging a shelf once a year it probably will be enough. If you want a quality pink drill I would go with the 12V Makita one.
This is the ancestor of this:

Very special but in that moment you need it or if you need something like this every day, a perfect tool.
Plus it looks cool.
Absolutely! Some companies even make double ball end wrenches. Ball end means a smaller surface area so you can't torque it as much but it's great for accessibility, usually why it's on the long end. Generally loosen with short end, flip it and loosen faster at whatever angle you want,
For that purpose i would instead recommend this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ELMR2OK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_WeVaGb9PPSHS7
It's self adhesive measuring tape. You can buy 4, 6, and 12' lengths, and ones that read right to left, and left to right. ( they're not reversible). It's not quite as cheap as a broken tape measure, but still very budget friendly
I feel like a full set of screwdrivers is some of the better value for spend. The jokers are just stupid pricey.

that's where I got it from anyhow. I already had the W7150 & 3 batteries/charger...so for me it made since to buy bare tools rather than sets.
I think I paid 105 for the hex driver off eBay as a bare tool...
Very handy!
I picked up one of these last year and have fallen in love with its simple effectivness. I never got good at reading the thread count on the ones like in OP so having ACTUAL threads to screw into a nut or screwing a bolt into the checker is amazing
Check out the image of the back of it.
A small torque wrench. Park is awesome but their torque wrench is $$$. I have this one and it's been great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00811WQT8/ And obviously doubles as a regular small socket wrench with 1/4" drive hex bits.
When I worked at REI, I always found myself reaching for the Park tri-hex. Need to buy myself one of those.
They are a modern retractable take on the traditional Japanese wood/bamboo carving knife, a "kiridashi". I got these from amazon Japan as the import sellers are rare and more expensive:

Those are what I was referring too. I carry three of them for service work. They literally changed my life for the better.
Snap-off knives like this are always really great, but the best one I've seen is the NT Cutter L-2000RP.
It has what I think is the perfect combination of features: an auto-locking slide, a locking screw near the end of the blade (which isn't necessary the majority of the time because of the auto-lock, but is nice to have when you want the blade really firmly in place), and an auto-loading cartridge with 5 blades. The body is incredibly sturdy too because it's cast aluminum, and there's also a version with a rubber grip on top of the aluminium or a lighter plastic-bodied one.
I realize I sound like a shill; but I promise I'm not. I just really love how well designed NT Cutter knives are and I wish more people knew about them. The only downside is that they are a somewhat obscure Japanese company, so pricing and availability can be inconsistent sometimes, but they can usually be found on Amazon.
Its this Rolson oneRolson one. I like the little files, and the big ones have a good range of shapes. Not had it long though so don't know how well they'll hold up.
For me, my go-to stuff is my knife (retractable replaceable blade), my chisel set which I use for basically everything when i really shouldn't, a decent putty knife, and my scraper which is literally a 10cm razor blade on a stick but I use it ALL THE TIME.
Bought it from Amazon (unfortunately not available at at the moment:

I’ll front this with the fact that I dont run nearly the load out that you do, but at my job, we keep the small tools from floating all over the truck box with something like this:
Usually screwed into the truck box shelf with sheet metal screws. Could be a decent idea for your pliers if you can rearrange a little.
Old post, but any recommendations for someone looking to get a versatile, top-notch screwdriver or screwdriver set for home use? Wera seems like a great brand, but it's hard to compare and contrast the differences of all the options they have on their website.
Maybe something like the Kraftform Kompact Turbo with the mechanical gear system?

Yes, it's the 125 Cobras and 150 Pliers Wrench:

Here ya go, up to $25 now. BTW, it's a small hammer, not some 10 lbs sledge. lol

$109 for 10 vise grips is a good deal. Do note the plastic tray is really stout but also garbage since it uses way too much space in my opinion. Also the shipping didn't work well, all of the pliers were lose all over in the box... but they are ViseGrips they can take rolling around with out padding.

Also a weekend warrior. I bought the knockoff Gearwrench version. Not as nice but quite a bit less.
I would suggest a combo setup with an impact driver and a hammer drill. Other than maybe my tape measure or my channel locks, I use my impact driver more than any other tool (which is why we have 6 of them (2 not pictured that my coworker and I keep in our carts.)) As for the hammer drill, if you are drilling into beton/concrete you will definitely need a hammer drill and some masonry bits. This Combo setup is a pretty good deal. It comes with two 5.0 Ah batteries which sell for like $120 each if you were to buy them separately.

This with a better set of leads is a good starting point. Also get a test light. You can diagnose most things with a test light and multimeter. Looks like you got most of the other stuff covered. Maybe get a M12 stubby impact.
Obviously less sturdy, but I just use this combo set and it’s never failed me:

Found this little guy and it's already become a favorite. Headlamps require you to point your head which isn't always possible for my inflexible ass.

Bits, agreed! I'm thinking I will use the Dremel when drilling is needed, it's been surprisingly useful in the past for drilling. I've got 3 full sized drills and bit kits in the garage, this is just a small "upstairs toolbox"
Glue. Wood glue is a classic. Maybe I can find a small tube. What's your favorite?
Fair enough. I do a bit of rapid prototyping for work, comes in handy.

I like this one for keeping handy. Pretty versatile (especially with possibly wet hands) and the sheath is handy for throwing it in a bag.
I would say a 3mm slotted isolated (VDE) screw driver. It's beefy enough that you can put some force on it and also small enough to use on Phillips screws. I really like the Wera ones but Klein or Wiha are great too.
I’ll be honest, anything is better than nothing.
This set would take care of the vast majority of you current and future needs.
It honestly depends on your application, small in home stuff the one I linked is perfect. Larger jobs like where I am (working in a dorm where panel boxes are remote) they actually make a circuit tracer that's handy too, but takes up more space still probably no bigger than the mallet you have pictured, the only other advantage is it has a gfci tester and a "wiring condition" indicator, say you accidentally reversed hot and neutral it will tell you, that one you would plug into your circuit and the hand held would be taken to you panel box and beeps when you highlight the breaker that it's plugged into, neat, but. Again would be your discretion, mostly based off location of your panel box in relation to where you're working, either way one of those two tools is a must have https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QNMCVWP/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_0EFX0BQCYN09Q240SM50?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I came here to almost make this comment, a non contact voltage meter is a MUST if you're going to be getting into basic electric work. Once you've used one you almost don't want to go without them, they are usually no larger than a mega sized sharpie, and can save you TONS of headaches if you're going to get into your own basic electric work, Im a trades generalist (glorified handyman, gotta fix everything) where I work and we use mostly Milwaukee tools, and that's what got me hooked, super easy to tell if you're working with a live circuit, and on most outlets you can plug it in and listen to the beeping while flipping breakers to see if you've got the right one. If you're interested, here's the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CZ08LU/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_QES08Z76NKZX5ZGKECC2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I used to have a Huot drill bit dispenser, which I liked, but obviously it only holds a certain amount of standard drill bits.
Once I had the drawer space, switching to this layout allowed for keeping a lot more bits in an easy to access layout.
One reason I have so many countersink bits is that I kept losing track of them, and would buy more. Once I had somewhere to put them all I realized I owned like 20 of them lol.

As an industrial maintenance mechanic, I've found the rubber sleeves start slipping off the allen. Probably due to oil and brake cleaner getting on them. They don't really last all that long under abuse of daily wrenching. If they're for the garage, then they're amazing. I personally use the Hex Plus Wera sets at my job. The shape of the allen actually grips the bolt better and doesn't strip out.
Quick google search brings up:
From the Manufacturer Snap-on Industrial Brand JH Williams 10-Inch adjustable wrench has a chrome plated finish that allows for easy cleaning after each use and the serrated knurl is designed for quick and smooth adjustments. The I beam designed handle provides strength and durability. The-Inch scale is laser etched on the head face for easy determination of the bolt head width. The maximum jaw opening is 1 11/64-Inch.
Yep - I just got one today! And it's brilliant. The sheer amount of grip and force you can apply to screws is ridiculous.

Well if that one ever breaks or walks away, if you search for an "allen pedal wrench" you should find a few good options. I would never had thought to use one like that, I have always used a pass thru socket with a long T-style allen wrench on my suspension.

So I just came across some of those yesterday. They were Irwin speedboar brand and specifically labeled on the package "impact driver ready"
These are the same just different brand. They do not have the pointed tips on the edges. I didnt love using it, BUT it did work a little better in an impact gun than a standard spade bit. 100000% would prefer a regular spade bit with a drill tho.
I will say these bits are cool.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002GU6QAA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_RMJZWGRK5HH74DT4684C
They have both the pointed edge and curved blade plus the screw tip. Super great for cutting plowing through 2x lumber but leaves a messy hole so not good for finish work.
From my understanding, there is some combination of losses in the connections between the hammer and the bolt that means the amount of distance the socket is turned without turning the bolt uses a lot of the energy that is actually produced by the hammer. Using a heavier socket will give more force because of the whole force=mass*acceleration and the hammer still has plenty of power to accelerate the heavier socket. The inertia of the greater mass socket holds more force through the mechanical losses before the socket and thus is able to transfer more of it to the bolt.
You guys really need to check local prices. The regular price on amazon Germany is 24 USD:

Knipex is one of the only brands that I will absolutely shell the money out for and have. I don't care about Snap-on, Matco, etc. I'm a commercial aircraft mechanic for a major airline. I carry this on my hip at work along with a Leatherman. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009RXXZI0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_0EA8FX2TQSHKZXBT04AM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I purchased the 6 inch Cobra to match the larger pliers as the included is too small for most things I use it for. I use this set nearly daily. The mini Cobra's are perfect for aircraft Cannon plugs even though I have the Knipex Cannon plug pliers as well.
I have the larger 10 inch of both, lineman pliers, needle nose, and dikes as well. Those dikes are still sharp as hell like new 4 years after I bought them.
The only other specialty tool I also recommend to people is a pair of Vampliers. They can pull screws out of tight spots and other stuff better than my Cobra pliers usually.
Welcome to the Knipex addiction.

I always wanted one of these to keep in the toolbox, just haven't shelled out $30. I think it would be a lot better if you needed to check female threads in something stationary
Did you clean those up or was that the condition you found them in?
They are actually in really good condition considering their age and it looks like someone took care of them over the years.
More than likely, they were owned by a company that saw them as a liability due to the solid metal housing, age of the internal wiring and lack of guards. If they were to short out internally and there was an incomplete ground path somewhere between the tool and the source of power, the user could get a good jolt. This is why most jobsites require GFCI protection whereever corded tools are used.
Likely better in the company's eye to toss and replace with new than to have to spend time arguing with an OSHA inspector that they are electrically safe and are properly grounded.
Given the age, the internal conductors are likely still high temp cloth insulated fine stranded conductors. If the conductors are still cloth, you can either replace them with #14 tinned fine stranded silicone insulated high temp copper wire between the brush holders and the switch, OR, if they still look to be in good shape, you can also cover them in adhesive lined heavy wall heat shrink, which is generally the best solution for the leads coming off of the coil.
The cords seem to be in good shape, but if they were mine, I would get a couple of Skil replacement cord sets and integrate the strain reliefs into the base of the tools to prevent future cord damage.
Just my two cents.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post links.

Amazon is a little more reasonable at $56 https://www.amazon.com/66982-ErgoStar-L-Key-Metric-22-Piece/dp/B009461IMA?th=1
But yeah, Euro tools generally will run on the higher end of US tool prices.
Yea, Wiha is probably superior to Wera in my experience.
These two have been dope for me:

Well....Shit now I can't find it. I know they made it before the company changed hands. I'm 100% certain of that. Sorry for the buildup OP.
EDIT: I found it! Got my wires crossed. it's tungsten not titanium and they called it the PENETRATOR

Goldblatt used to make a set of pliers and sold the design to craftsman - Klein makes one similar but (this)[CRAFTSMAN Long Nose Pliers, 8-Inch Multi Function (CMHT81715) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QL3K9DT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_i3MlFb88BDS82] is a handy set of pliers. I’m more of a small scale general contractor/handyman, but for $15 bucks they’re very handy for residential stuff
