I was in the same position as you - wanting to convert USD to CAD to send it to my Canadian bank but Paypal was too expensive. I now use Wise ( formerly TransferWise). I linked my USD transferwise bank to my PayPal and withdraw the money from my Paypal to that account. Then in Wise, I convert it to CAD and send it to my Canadian bank. It only takes a very small fee compared to Paypal (0.44% Variable fee). So if you were to convert 500 USD to CAD, Wise would charge you 2.19 USD. Way better than Paypal. You can check the fees here
also - this is what I am going to suggest - its so ideal for these types of situations:
Since you are back in Ireland, you should signup on Teston, Usertesting's UK website they acquired. They shifted a lot of their Euro customers over there, that's why you hardly get any from the Usertesting side. https://teston.io/en/
Honestly, I feel like that is a good question. I am unsure of the answer. I have started using Krisp.ai on my windows computer. I notice that after I have finished a test, Krisp mentions that the microphone is still being use by google chrome. The only way that I have found to get it to stop using the microphone is a reboot.
I doubt that the testing app is still recording or sending information, but it does seem that it doesn't fully disconnect afterwards.
Yeah they are having issues with some of the pages today.

They no longer use their own extension they just use Loom( https://www.loom.com ), although that was something they touched on in the video too. They want to move to an in-house recorder at some point.
I bought this microphone in 2018. I've been using on Usertesting for about a year and a half now and so far haven't had any issues with it. It's $21.99 on Amazon, link bellow
