I'm in the same boat as you - have had it as long as I can remember. I've either learned to ignore it or my brain has compensated for it. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but doing minutiae work it really comes through.
As far as computer intensive work goes, you can try a screen temperature/color adjuster such as f.lux.
Never tried this, but I use a similar tint on computer which seems to ease the VS a bit especially since I have to use it for a long time for work. The tint is kind of similar to the one flux gives you https://justgetflux.com/. I also use pastel color palletes, light on dark background, this seems to make the VS less noticeable.
Give those a try or try the tinted eyeglasses and tell us how it goes.
Because of your post ans ehe reviews I read, I decided to buy this. Hope it works. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm not a qualified MD, and know very little about this substance. I feel it would be irresponsible to give any of my own advice about it honestly :(. After looking at https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-8611/amitriptyline-oral/details I did notice it says:
"It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Also, you may experience symptoms such as mood swings, headache, tiredness, and sleep change. To prevent these symptoms while you are stopping treatment with this drug, your doctor may reduce your dose gradually. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Report any new or worsening symptoms right away."
So the general consensus would be to continue taking it as prescribed until you consult your Dr about stopping it if you feel it is not helping, or if you feel it's making things worse. Sorry I couldn't be much more of a help for you!
That really sucks. Yea do check for deficiencies. I'm recovering from a concussion so my vision is wonky.
What I do find helps is calming down the anxiety. Meditation/yoga/listening to calming sounds (a similar app is free on Android, $5 on iPhones for the one we use)
My skin feels a slight pins and needles feeling too. If you are feeling stressed and overworked, try getting more rest.
I don't know if it will work well for you.
My insane light sensitivity is very related to my neck. Sometimes it will click into a position that starts to give me terrible sensitivity as well as bad after images. I’ll close my eyes and literally be able to still see all the light a dark spots in the room. If I’m watching tv I can see the tv and what was on it fade then comes back then fades and comes back multiple times. Then my neck will click again could be hours could be days later and the light sensitivity and after images will subside in just minutes.
See a chiropractor. But a good one, one that doesn’t do high velocity adjustments by hand. They shouldn’t have to bend your neck to make adjustments, good ones make very small adjustments using an instrument and take X-rays before and after. A careless chiropractor is how this all started with me.
Also try a neck brace and wear it as much as possible for a few weeks and see if it helps. But a good quality brace and not just a soft collar, this is mine

Hope that helps!
> blue entropic phenomenon
huh! i've never heard of that. explains why most of my VS is against the sky i guess, but it's also in other neutral spaces (empty walls) and very dark areas and shadows so i guess that doesn't solve it all.
what i was talking about is this: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/eye-floaters/symptoms-causes/syc-20372346
of course, at the moment there is still the first version on the store, the functionality has not been updated to user requests because we have had so much work in this period, but we will update it in the future as promised
This is the link at the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.damianop.visualsnow
Yeah, it's a natural supplement I take, I almost never get migraines anymore but sometimes I get what feels like the on set if a migraine. In other words, I'll feel that cranial pressure start building up and it can last the rest of the day but that splitting headache never comes.
I would definitely consult a neurologist before taking it because everyone is different and im not sure if it's okay for anyone to just start taking it without at least letting a doctor know. This is the exact one I take.
I developed trailing after reading about it on here. I had no change in symptoms for years and the day after I found out about that symptom I got it. That screams psychosomatic to me.
This is me bro. Yes, I don't know how the fuck that can happen but it sort of happened. The trails started small and as more obsession came over it, the longer they went to be.
I'm currently reading a book about neuroplasticity for healing vertigo and tinnitus. In general terms it states that by focusing on some symptom (whatever that symptom may be) you actually make those neurons fire a lot so it hard-wires the symptom even more.
And I believe that could be my case for sure. The good part is there's a way to possibly un-wind that.
This is the book, it was recommended by a guy here who got rid of his symptoms over a year. Not just by reading that of course, but it helps.
It was recommended by a guy here who healed his VSS almost entirely without any drugs, etc. I'm still reading the book but it applies to everything not just the T. Basically fixating over the symptoms will probably hardwire the symptoms even more. For neurplasticity to work you must sort of change your mindset and go along other path.
The writer herself had T and Vertigo for 4 years and is a medical professional. It'a a long road to Rome, but it can happen.
The same deal of pain you experience with your T I experience myself with my Palinopsia Trailing. Let's give it a chance to heal on it's own. (won't happen overnight).
Hope you the best.
Any of them but I have noticed a marked improvement with Oceanblue 2100 Omega3 sith CoQ10
Although I think maybe it's the dosage that does it more than anything. The serving size is 3 big ass capsules 😂 and I take it with Vitamin D!

Anxiety is a major symptom of VSS. Don't be ashamed of it - it's completely normal for the condition.
Insomnia is also common. It's hard to sleep when thousands of pinpricks of static are spinning in your vision. It's ok. Using black-out curtains / eye covering help from my experience.
Afterimages tend to stick around (some have gotten rid of it though... don't remember how). Try using sunglasses if they get bad (brown shades work for me personally).
Also, dark cover overlays help to read (the afterimages can be a bitch when studying from a textbook/computer). https://www.amazon.com/Overlays-Dyslexia-Reading-Plastic-11x8-5Size/dp/B085XHQW8P/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2QDYROIDL08ZQ&keywords=matte+color+overlay&qid=1644178161&sprefix=matte+colour+overlays%2Caps%2C72&sr=8-2
Hey.What's T? I notice my visual snow the most when looking at a white surface/ computer screen/computer/tv etc. Seems to be worse at night in the dark. I can read numbers and text but they flicker. Luckily i'm not affected to much day to day.
There are a few computer programs that you can use that might help with the V.S symptoms. I find a white surface/background on a computer makes the static worse.
Here's a nice one: https://justgetflux.com/
Hopefully I can help!
Im not sure where you're at but it looks like Front End MastersFront End Masters have a free boot camp to teach you the basics. I've been using the paid service for the other courses. Free Code CampFree Code Camp is also an excellent free resource.
Try to become familiar with HTML, CSS, JS, Git as well as using your Terminal and an editor such as VS Code. It seems overwhelming at first but gets easier as you become familiar with that eco-system.
While learning, you should get an idea of how you'd to progress. For example, there's a big demand for React developers right now.
Worth mentioning that a few people at my place came through coding boot camps. They sound excellent but expensive. Good if you can get a scholarship or your employer to pay though :)
Hope that helps! Some dedicated subreddits might be able to offer better advice but feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

No response from people after the study is almost 100% a positive thing. It's well known that people are far less likely to provide feedback on positive experiences, and way more likely on negative experiences. The fact we have barely heard of any negative experiences can only be a good sign.
The science behind NORT is also already well established and proven to work for other vision deficiencies caused by e.g. concussions, strokes and other issues. My opthalmologist had me doing visual therapy before NORT was known about (and it helped me), can't be a coincidence that they are the same thing with NORT specifically targeting VSS.
Personally, I am waiting for the program to be released so that I can do it with my opthalmologist as she is excellent. The key to vision therapy is being dedicated and repeating the exercises as instructed. Even beyond the 20 weeks it is worth continuing to do them as you can keep proving (just to a lesser degree).
One last thing, a lot of this is also based on the idea of neuroplasticity (the ability for the brain to reconfigure itself). VSS creates a feedback loop where the more you think about it the more you notice it, which creates anxiety, which has been proven to cause issues with vision, which can make VSS even worse. By literally not thinking about it as a bad thing and trying to ignore it you will have improvements (obviously easier said than done). NORT helps with this by improving VSS and breaking that feedback loop so your brain also adapts and once again begins to filter out the noise. If you're interested in neuroplasticity check out this book 👍
I'd appreciate the help :) It's basically just using https://www.pygame.org/ to generate circles in different ways. Maybe I'll branch out in the future and create something that utilizes the GPU.

Bioactive mean your body does not need to convert, some people have an MTHFR gene mutation which means your body cannot metabolise
but im sure VSS is more complex than a vitimin issue anyways

You don't need the alz life app to do this. You don't need a 120 Hz phone or tablet to do this either. 99% of the smart phone in the last 5 year should be able to strobe flash the camera LED flash at 40 Hz. So you use something like the free Android app Strobily that can do the strobe light and play any of the '40 Hz Gamma - Pure Tone Binaural Beat' from Youtube audio at the same time and get the full effect. Do this in a darken room and point the flash against a blank wall or even one with your favorite picture on it.
There is a big difference between reading on a backlit screen and reading paper. Try finding a good light source (natural light through a window is ideal) and have it behind you, so the light shines onto the paper.
Does your phone have automatic brightness on the screen? If so, a quick test is to lay your phone on your book and see if the phone adjusts the brightness of the screen. If it goes over 75% brightness, you should be good to read. If the screen dims, that area is too dark and you'll need more light.
If you're trying to read without disturbing others, try investing in a book light. Your eyes will thank you.
So basically you do eyes exercices like with an orthoptist ?
I've found an app (that I need to test for more than one time) that have built in eyes exercice to improve your vision / eye muscle.

It's call Eye Care Plus : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyeexamtest.eyecareplus
I don't know if it exist on iOS Though

Maybe you could give it a try.
Yes, I can recommend the pair I use. For me it seems that my visual snow got much better when I started using them. If I was to stop using them for a day or two my visual snow would come back stronger. A side note about the top comment, that program is not all you need. After using the program I realized there is no filter for blue light during the day lol.
