If you just need character info, use the Wheel of Time Compendium app on your smartphone. (It's called the WoT Compendium if you use Apple.) You can select the book you are on, and the app should give you additional information that has been revealed up to that point.
Pick up the ebook or audio edition of the unfettered anthology book 1 (pretty hard to find physical copies). It has a deleted chapter from the final book. If you are thinking of pirating a PDF copy just be aware the proceeds from this anthology go to pay the editor's medical bills
Unfettered: Tales By Masters of Fantasy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HJCAGR4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_ZTNSKSZ31TTQVSWN2Q9V
It's on amazon for 26$. Still outrageously expensive. Cheaper to just buy a kindle if you don't have one at this point and reading the ebook.
https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Wheel-Time-Robert-Jordan-ebook/dp/B00M64A8UA
That's the series, but not absolutely everything.
The Strike at Shayol Ghul is online, and is in The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time (AKA the Big White Book) but not in the Amazon compilation.
The original version of New Spring is in the Legends anthology.
River of Souls is in the Unfettered anthology.
A Fire Within the Ways is in the Unfettered III anthology.
There is the "soundtrack for WoT" https://www.amazon.com/Wheel-Time-Various-Artists/dp/B00005LARZ
In the year 2525?
Rush 2112
Grand Illusion
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here_Comes_the_Rain_Again ... I don't know what album it was on...
> what happens to perrin/the two rivers
He is too busy being a King in Saldaea. aMoL hints at Tam as being Steward of Two Rivers now.
> Lan should have been dead. If a character sacrifices himself to kill a big evil dude ("sheating his sword" and all), he should be dead aswell.
Agreed. This is the second time that this happened in the series, and now the Sword Form has become a joke.
This is similar to Tamanes surviving too. He found a way to kill Fades, which was to die in the doing so. However, we get another fake-out death thus making his cool saying a joke now too.
> -Verins letter about Caemlyn being attacked felt really dumb? Why not just say "you have to open the letter in 3 days and then you can do what it says in it or not, you decide"? Did she think Mat would just let Caemlyn burn down? Just a very badly thought out plan on Verin's part?
[Bold mine]
Verin actually had a backup plan to this. However, it was removed from the story. If you want to read it, then check out - A Fire within the Ways.

> Never liked olver, always felt like a pointless and annoying character, in the end he got his contribution shoehorned by blowing the horn, but i dont think he added anything to the series
Yea. I kinda agree with this. A bit of a comic relief secondary character that I thought that Jordan had bigger plans for.
I'm currently reading the series (on Kindle, currently on book 7) and I spoiled quite a few things by using Google to remind me who the myriad characters are...
Then I found this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.silvermast.wotcompendium
It's great! You say what book you're on and put in a character's name and it gives you a spoiler free reminder of who they are! Wish I'd discovered this app sooner
The Wheel of Time Companion: The People, Places, and History of the Bestselling Series https://smile.amazon.com/dp/0765314614/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_Z8JXAJ60P30MJE7HYKDE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Can pick it up via this link and have a read then.
Took a few minutes of Google searching, but:
https://www.orbit-books.co.uk/titles/robert-jordan/the-complete-wheel-of-time/9780356519623/
EBOOK / ISBN-13: 9780356519623 PRICE: £80 ON SALE: 21st April 2022
(That's $104.68 at today's exchange rate. If you bought the same thing from Amazon's US store today, it would be $163.85, so it looks like Orbit's publication will be significantly cheaper.)
The traditional version from the novels:

And then, once upon a time, there was the authorized Museum Replicas version of a Heron Mark sword, with a different (but valid) interpretation of a heron mark on it:
I use this app to keep track of the characters. You tell it what book you're on, type in a character's name, and it gives you a spoiler-free summary of the character.

This:

Older fans will call it "The Big White Book" because the original printing had a white cover.
It's full of interesting things. You shouldn't read it until you've finished book seven if you're worried about spoilers.
Here is a app that'll help you out a bit. It oes book by book, and does not spoil anything. It'll keel track of the characters for you.

I don't know about Apple, but this is the Google play link.
It was supposed to be a joke but no one in WoT ever talked like that, the DO was serious business (not to mention having a million names to pick from and instead the author went with something more like a modern day meme). It probably sounds nitpicky to people reading this post but there was lots of stuff like that in the final three books. I grew up reading RJ's books as they came out, so the tonal shift was like finding a bunch of hairs in my soup.
Re: AMOL, I do agree. Unfortunately Sanderson just didn't have RJ's real world experience of war, his writing comes from a background of video games and anime, and it really shows in the final book. Too many "rule of cool" moments that make no sense or are dumb or anachronistic. Often those bits are cited by fans as some of their favourite bits. Which makes me feel very, very old.
Added bonus: Unfettered II & Unfettered III are also on sale for $2.99 each. That is a ridiculously cheap price for a gourmet buffet of very, very skilled authors, and "Unfettered III" contains the (almost but not quite canonical) story, "A Fire Within the Ways", from Perrin's point of view.
The Kindle edition is still on sale for $2.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002U3CCYM/ref=docs-os-doi_0
The audio book for the first 2(?) books is on Youtube. HERE
Mine is this one, technically it is not accurate as the herron is not also inlaid in the hilt(important for the prophecies) https://www.amazon.com/Museum-Replicas-Officially-Licensed-Wheel/dp/B00421A4FO
This is a much better one but it does cost 100x more: http://www.fableblades.com/TamsSword.html
I am thinking of this 1997 guide book and other "official" artwork from before he passed.
Yes it's normal. In an epic fantasy setting with its own world, history, lore, magic system and various terminologies it takes some time to get a hang of things. If you don't understand something, either it will be explained later so be patient and move on, or you can always ask on the sub and people will help you with the explanation.
I would suggest that you never Google anything as it will give you spoilers.
This app is good for keeping track of all the wheel of time characters without getting any spoilers from future books.

They’re at this link in the “Origin Stories” section.

Great work. I highly recommend that you consult Jordan’s approved atlas from this book: Limited-time deal: The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time https://www.amazon.com/dp/1250846404/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_Z2CXG7E803D4G05B6RE0
Here's a map from the showmakers themselves (click explore tab):
https://www.amazon.com/Wheel-Time-Season-1/dp/B09F59CZ7R
I don't think it is spoiling everything to tell you since they provided a map, but it's over 1,000 miles. Tar Valon is deep into the continent and Tear is on the ocean.
They exist, my friend has all of them from their first release. I think they are on Amazon but the paper copy is more expensive than the hard copy so it’s probably more rare.
Actually, I went looking for it after another post here. It's called Wombo Dream.
This may not be what you are looking for but I love this national park style WOT map on Amazon. I bought it and really think it’s fantastic
Ahh I see. I'm actually looking at a new book on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Great-Hunt-Robert-Jordan/dp/0312851405/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1629615752&sr=8-1.
It doesn't say book club edition, but the height of it is 9.04 inches which is smaller than the rest (9.54). I'm guessing that's the book club edition then.
So thanks! I might have purchased that by mistake.
There's an Android app for that (Don't know if available for iOS). Here you go:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.silvermast.wotcompendium&hl=de
Does exactly what you ask for. You enter the character or location and tell it how far along you are (book and chapter) and it puts out everything there is to know for that character as of yet. Obviously anecdotal, but never spoiled me.
The back of book encyclopedias are also good for that, but I seem to remember there were a few spoilers in them for the book you're currently reading. So if you always just read the preceding books Glossary you should be fine.
