I use an app called Prisma.
I run the original pic through a bunch of times and then stack the images in Photoshop with varying levels of transparency.
Prisma has tonnes of cool looking processes, but the only way to access them all and unlock high definition is to subscribe, which is eye wateringly expensive.
Yeah, from things I read production schedules have been weird in Japan even with the big 3 and Eigashima is a distant 4th. A local shop has a bunch of 5yo Akashi wine/brandy casks that sound great, but they're all around $225. The Sherry 5 year is extremely high quality, and this malt is too for its age. I know they have some even higher end stuff under the Eigashima brand.
It's a Norlan glass; I got it on Amazon and while they are a bit pricey I like them a lot. It works well as a rocks glass or a neat glass and the double paned glass insulates the whisky from your hand really well.
You can get them on Amazon but the prices and shipping fluctuate so you kind of have to check back every now and then to get a reasonable price
The 1001 book has been too scary for me to look at so far, but I am working my way through a combination of ALL 3 of Ian Buxton's 101 books (85%, 74% and 39% so far) and Tom Morton's "A Whisky in Monsterville" (88%), so (Book Two: "101 World Whiskies...") I needs me some Revel Stoke...
gotcha. I will do pour over, espresso, drip, or french press based on mood (and number of people). Sadly since I got a phat drip coffee maker it has been exposing the flaws in my beans.
