I'm struggling with not being too attached to my previous practice. I used to be able to bind in Marichyasana D. I loved how open my whole body felt in the pose. It's a struggle now for me to even attempt to enter the pose now. I'm trying to be happy practicing where I am, and work on binds in some standing poses and Mari A-C.
One of my favorite tips for working on binds, which I'm currently using in Mari A-C is to use a small ring, like one that's used for dog training instead of a towel or similar to grab onto in a bind. It's much easier to manage since it's stiff and you can direct it better to the other hand.
I created a yoga before bed routine in the routinery app. The first two things in the routine are brushing my teeth and skin care routine, 3 min each, followed by 20 min of yoga. I do that routine if I didn't do yoga earlier in the day. Somehow the app makes it feel less like a choice. I also have a default evening sequence so I don't have to make decisions about what I'm going to do, search for a video, etc. You could program your default into an app like exercise timer until you have it memorized. Say, choose 5 seated or supine poses you'll do for 1 minute each.
I said yoga app because I'm a self-practice-based on-various-resources person (past in-person classes, books, video). When I want to change things up, or have more guidance, I often program a sequence into Exercise Timer.
