I keep it pretty simple:
I strongly recommend this app. It's called the Exercise Timer. It's not exactly a yoga app but this amazingly customisable. I have created my own workout and can export it too you if you like. Mine is based on CureCPPS.com stretches. The app is really easy to use and you can adjust everything you like. Also works on smartwatch!
Also, if you are willing to go outside, there is a 15 minute running intervals that I do sometimes, it's
Walk 20 seconds
Jog 20 seconds
All out sprint 20 seconds
Repeat 5 times
You can do a warm up and cool down jog for 5 minutes each, I actually normally skip this. These workouts are actually pretty effective in my experience. (I would recommend doing this on a track, because it seems weird all out sprinting in public, but if it works for you, you do you)
Edit: For keeping time, I use an app called Exercise Timer for android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurondigital.exercisetimer
I use this app to do a timed workout 4x/week based on my variation of a standard PPL routine. I add legs to my Push day, and add shoulders to my Pull day. You can play with it however you like.

-PULL-
Bent Over Row
Lat Pulldown
Overhead Press
Lateral Raise
Bicep Curls
Inclined Bicep Curls

-PUSH-
Chest Press
Chest Raise
Deadlift (or Squats)
Lunges
Tricep Pushdown
Tricep Extension

You’re doing every exercise for 5min. When you reach failure in each set, give yourself a 30sec break and then continue. Rinse and repeat until the 5min is up. Having 5min generally gets me 3-5 sets for every exercise. This guy gave me the idea and it’s been awesome. I highly recommend him in general.
I would say this routine is very effective for beginner/intermediate levels.

I said yoga app because I'm a self-practice-based on-various-resources person (past in-person classes, books, video). When I want to change things up, or have more guidance, I often program a sequence into Exercise Timer.

You can create your custom workout plans and customise it for running. It has a watch app but looks like there are in app purchases to unlock certain features. Might be good enough without needing to pay for any?
Exercise Timer is this app. It allows you to create routines made up of timed periods in custom configurations, perfect for running progressively longer, alternating run and walk periods.
Try Exercise Timer. You program your own "workout routine," customizing it to the periods you need. There's a companion for Wear OS, but back when I used it, they didn't play well together, so I just used the phone app and let the watch vibrate from the phone notifications. If you have time, experiment to find your best option. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurondigital.exercisetimer
Yarp, that's me! We just started up again after a week off.
I'm doing the interval routine described here, which is a nice way to ease into it, and using this app. I had to input all the workouts/intervals manually, but it's free, uses a simple chime to mark the interval, and lets you save an unlimited number of workouts. I tried a few other apps but rejected them for various reasons (confusing chime sequences, could only store 3 workouts, etc.) But I really wanted something pretty bare-bones; there are lots of more feature-rich options out there.
I also brought Echo's favourite flirt pole toy as a lure and had it out for the first few runsto encourage her, and now I just produce it when we finish an interval for some quick tug and chomping before dismissing her to go sniff. Indy might be just fine jogging with you though, what with that herding instinct...
Yeah, I think for us the interval stuff is probably better than a full 30min run (the goal of the Pt5k program). I have no aspirations to be A Runner, with goals and acheivements and races and so on, I just want us both to get some exercise beyond walking. I'll probably stick to somewhat shorter intervals so that Echo can do some sniffing and less structured meandering too.
I spent some time this morning searching for an app I liked (instead of working; whoops). For now I'm going to give this one a try. It's free, super simple, and lets you add unlimited workouts. The UX isn't perfect, but it's usable. It chimes and vibrates to mark the intervals, which is all I need. There's a 'voice' option where it reads out the name of the exercise, which would be more useful if I was doing other types of HIIT, but not needed for jogging.
I started playing with this one, and it had a bit better UX and some more flexible functionality, like different sounds. But you can only save two custom workouts, which kinda cramped my idea of putting all the Pt5k sessions in.
I also considered using Runkeeper or Strava or MapMyRun or one of those more full-featured apps, but I really don't care about route tracking and all the stats. I just want something to tell me when to run and when to walk!
Also, while we're at it! I use this app for Android:
I used to use it for cardio training but it works wonders to prompt my guitar exercises like a charm.
I programmed it to speak to me and say outloud when the next exercise comes, so I don't even need to look at my phone.
I can't speak to the Strava uploads, but if you want an independent timer that gives audio cues, do try Exercise Timer. I've tried a bunch of similar ones, but this does everything I need: Program your own routines with custom times and exercise names (that can be announced as you run - - Nothing sweeter than hearing "Last run!"), save routines and use them as bases for new ones, backup. I had no luck coordinating with the AW version, but I prefer the phone app, because that's where my headphones are connected. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurondigital.exercisetimer
There are plenty, try some of them and find out what you like best. I needed some tracker with a mix of reps and times in a routine (most of apps either count reps/weights or just pure HIIT timers). Found this one and quite like it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurondigital.exercisetimer&hl=en
I think this app can do that:

I use a very customizable one called Exercise Timer.
I use "Exercise Timer". It's a pretty neat app with Material Design.
