When I started off I used https://avocode.com/nachos-ui ...turned out to be a bad idea as the app itself grew a design language that nachos couldn't accomodate.

I think component libraries are fine to use if you plan on sticking with what they do and how they do it. If you need your own look and feel at some point you'll start kicking yourself.
Sign up for a trial account of Avocode (https://avocode.com/). Upload the PSD, then you can inspect each element and write the CSS or if you're really lazy, just export the css and write up the HTML.
Have you tried or considered using Avocode for this? Adobe also has similar technology (previously called Project Parfait) built in to CC's web interface now.
How can I export PSD layers, layer groups or artboards as PNG?
Go to the the Layers panel.
Select the layers, layer groups, or artboards you want to save as image assets.
Right-click your selection and select Quick Export As PNG from the context menu.
Choose a destination folder and export the image.

Oh I see, avocode can be the answer since it like Zeplin with versioning feature also can import photoshop and can convert it to sketch (witch only avocode can do that) and cross platform. But there is cheap trick like, you can use this https://avocode.com/convert-psd-to-sketch to convert your psd to sketch, without subscribe to avocode. Either handoff the assets with Zeplin, Abstract or Avocode.
You're creepy man, just had to install Adobe XD myself today ... xD
Isnt https://avocode.com/ something for ya?
I also have powershell with chocolatey which helps a bit, but I much rather use Ubuntu Bash or something like (relatively slow) Hyper terminal to use WSL.
>I must say, I really don't like the direction in which windows is going and I predict that in some time in the future I and a lot of other people will switch to Linux. Still, Pop!_OS is my favorite OS.
Just curious, which direction do you dislike exactly? I just want performance when using Docker and similar stacks which is a b*tch in Windows (when you need to use linux containers).

I've used an app quite often in the past for the same purpose, but with PSD files : https://www.pagelayers.com/. Maybe HTML -> PSD -> Sketch could work out well by adding Avocode to the mix : https://avocode.com/convert-psd-to-sketch.
There is Avocode for Sketch. I think it could help you. I am not sure if it outputs code in the js object form that react native requires it but it says it outputs CSS. They also have something called Nacho UI kit for react native (I found them through this kit) so maybe they have some sort of support for RN. Hope it helps.
Looking at Zeplin website, it looks similar. I would recommend Avocode or Zeplin. But it entirely depends on your situation. I guess you shoud check this https://avocode.com/features-developer.html and see yourself
We use Sketch in combination with Avocode. It's bassicly the same as Zeplin, that is mentioned before in this post. But only our dev-team preferred Avocode, i don't know why exactly.
