I will consider using : https://www.bitser.org/iracingconfig.shtml
You'll be able to save configs switching from monitors to VR. This won't solve the ports problems but can help not to change settings every time
I just found this yesterday:
https://www.bitser.org/iracingconfig.shtml
Before that, I was using multiple configs and .BAT files to manage them. I was always just one click away from losing everything. So I made .BAT files to backup my files and it all just got kind of crazy. So I recommend that tool.
This tool is perfect for racing normal one day and vr the other: https://www.bitser.org/iracingconfig.shtml
Enables you to edit all needed ini files and select the different setups you want.
On one i have vr auto enabled, on the other i have it disabled and higher graphic settings.
"@hellacool69 just got my 49" up and did a bunch of testing today, definitely better in VR, but I feel like both have their place. 1000x easier to talk to the wife and such when I am not strapped into the goggles."
A lot of truth to this.
Regarding swapping, I use the program below. Works great. Only issue I have is my black boxes in VR do not stay in place so when I swap I need to take a minute to put everything back. The screen black boxes do not move.
The guy that made iracing config editor also has a replay director. https://www.bitser.org/iracingconfig.shtml
I tried it last week... takes a bit of fidgetting to get it configured, but it grabs the race nicely. Both the complete race, as well as automatic highlights.
I’ve recently started using this ircacing config editor tool, which is great for switching between VR and monitor setups.
On the same page it also has a replay editor. I havent tried it yet but it might suit your needs
“It creates 2 videos from your replays; the full replay and a 10 minute highlight video. The highlight video will contain the battles, incidents and remove any boring bits from the final video.”
