I did O&S for many hours. With both of them up 1 R2 attack from my club would take S down a full 1/4. With help it was much less. I'm just going crazy then? There are also many references to this: http://www.preparetodie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5130

Yeah. They ran out of time and had to cut some stuff. His dialogue is still on the disc though.
I did a quick search and could only find Shiva's extra missions/dialogue, but you should be able to dig up Oscar's in a few minutes of poking around: http://www.preparetodie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20981

Post:
At Gamescom, I had the opportunity to discuss the CE with the EU Namco team, who were more than happy to spell out EXACTLY how it's going to work.
The reason for the confusion is that the EU and US are getting slightly different things.
The US Collectors Edition consists of a metal case, with digital collectables, possibly a physical soundtrack and/or artbook. Because of the size of the metal case, the strategy guide has to be digital too.
The EU Collectors Edition is a folding cardboard-ey thing, you know what I mean. However, it comes with a physical making-of/behind the scenes thing, a physical art book, a physical soundtrack and a code for a digital strategy guide, because it made no sense to make two different guides for two different regions (looking at you, Atlus).
I will double check and update to see if the US one has any physical collectables, it's possible it doesn't. Also worth noting is the fact that the EU version comes with codes for the digital versions of the art book/soundtrack etc as well as the physical ones.
Looks like I was actually wrong about one thing, it will be a steelbook case for the US version.
Apparently it's based on the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies. There's a source for this somewhere...

I read about it here.
> Player1 used eye of death, Player2 saw the gravelord sign almost immediately... The sign updates position pretty quick, every 10 seconds or so.
> I was surprised by the frequency that the sign updated as well. I had my gf follow me all around the level, and through the darkroot garden. The sign kept refreshing, was pretty neat to see it keep popping up right before she reached where it was.
If you want people to find your Gravelord sign, that means you should probably stand still and wait somewhere with a lot of traffic. :)
Yeah, there was a lot of dialog which was cut from the game, but still remained in text files on the disc. Shiva was supposed to be a pretty bad guy.

I only wish it was easier to join your friends online. I've been reading that the game uses p2p servers, which makes it nearly impossible to join your friends. Apparently you can log out, log back in and keep trying until you are put on the same server as your buddy, but that takes forever. There's actually a petition a lot of people have begun signing over at preparetodie.com (the official webpage) link incoming:

I think we should all sign it (politely) and try to get From to fix this nonsense for us.
Well, I assumed the private chat, but the other two are confirmed by Ikar. From my understanding, he's the PR guy on the forums.

I agree with a lot of what I'm reading here. And, I encourage everyone to go to http://www.preparetodie.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=21&sid=feb83a4b228ff3f521e891d3b4cf5bcf and post there too. Although, it may be kind of late now. We're almost a month away from launch, right?
I couldn't care less about PvP so most of what I'll comment on is PvE.
But, yes. Less "exploits" when it comes to bosses, or enemies in general. Being able to hit a Dragon 100 times, or shoot through fog to kill a boss with a bow, is an issue I'd like to see fixed.
Make armour mean something. For most of the game it felt like armour was more of a hindrance than a benefit. I'd like to see that addressed, and also have armour be upgradable, like shields and weapons were.
I personally liked dodging and rolling but I also think there should be some effort made to make a fully armoured, shield carrying, character an interesting and viable way to play.
In general, what I want is Demon's Souls, but just a little improved. I love that game so much I want to go and play it right now. :)
Hmm, you seem to be lucky. Someone had two PS3s and two copies of the game and did some experiments. Discussion here.
They found that the Gravelord sign will show up in someone else's world with about a 10 second delay from where the Gravelord last was, so it's constantly updating. He had the second player chase the Gravelord sign throughout a level, with no sign of Black Phantoms.
Perhaps the sign isn't available to all players in the same range, maybe it just fails to spawn BPs sometimes? It seems a fair number of people claim to see the signs without seeing BPs as well.
All I know is that the box art on the official site, Facebook page, and Namco Bandai product page all display the Games For Windows Live logo.
Could this all be a serious oversight on their part? Or perhaps a lazy, misleading box art mockup? Sure, I won't rule that out as a possibility, but right now it's only normal to assume the worst. Better safe than sorry.
You can get a roulette wheel if you click on the eyes in the background. I want to win something this time.
Edit: and if you go to this page: http://www.preparetodie.com/en/preorder/ it appears theres supposed to be something near the xbox logo, though all I'm seeing is a "?>", I guess something might be buggy, I'll check back later and see if theres anything new.
Edit again: I was clicking around randomly on that same page, I think under the walmart logo, and I got the old "attack, run, block" thing. Update to this part: Its the light coming through under the walmart logo, you have to reload the page after each use.
Edit AgainAgain: Same "attack run block" thing can be found on this page: http://www.preparetodie.com/en/community/ by clicking the door behind the center figurine.

Unrelated: wtf, you can get the lordvessel without killing Smough & Ormstein!
IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU'RE HUMAN OR HALLOW...THE ONLINE ASPECT OF DARK SOULS IS COMPLETELY BROKEN...YOU ARE RANDOMLY PUT INTO A LOBBY THAT MIGHT HAVE AT MAX 20 PEOPLE OR 0 PEOPLE FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD!
