That it doesn't get enough funding as it should.
While people are comfortable paying multi-million salaries to elite athletes and sportsmen, interns have to starve in scholarships and beg for funding.
I’m not implying that those people don’t deserve the money they earned. Just that science is being neglected and bastardized, when it is almost the sole reason for humanity’s current level of prosperity.
If not, ask Wilson and his science machine.
Footnotes
What about Klei Entertainment? Seems like their style is to have a different style for every different game they made. And they're all awesome games! I especially adore Don't Starve.
Wolly is a new set piece in preparation for Shipwrecked, the new DLC coming for Don't Starve. Wolly is like a trader, and will give you small items like flint or feathers for feeding him certain meats.
Hints (no answers in the hints...put spoiler tags in case you don't want any help anyway):
[If you give the parrot an item, he will spout off a partial sentence. The items you give him are the items in the picture he is holding. I think people just spawned those items or something](/spoiler)
[Each game will only give a part of the clue. There is no way to get more from it. Thus, you'll have to collaborate with others to get the full puzzle](/spoiler)
[Solve the puzzles to get the input answer for the parrot](/spoiler)
[Now you have a bunch of new things. From there, you'll have to figure out how what do to with them.](/spoiler)
[If you figure out that answer, you'll get some more images with another puzzle. Figure out how to solve that to get another clue](/spoiler)
[The answer to the final puzzle tells you what to type in the URL to get to the final reveal](/spoiler)

I like the new rules so far, particularly the one about Art since Klei themselves do a lot of art streams themselves. A dedicated meme-day sounds good too; that way what feels like the majority of the posts being posted isn't solely memes.
For Rule 2, can the link be updated to include the DST Trading Forums, as that seems to be much more active than the currently linked one for DS.
Similarly, under the Useful Links section, can that include the DST Klei page as well?
Other than that, I have to think of what else I want to suggest (probably more flairs, if it's something I can figure out to do).
I do agree on the subreddit needing an uplifting as well, since I do see the differences in the sidebar between people using old reddit and the new reddit (like the Useful Link section), among other things.
Don't Starve is a survival with crafting in 2D. It's not obvious a city builder, but I want to share cause I have the same feeling for this game as banished.
Don't Starve is super fun too! Randomly generated maps and stuff to find, and you unlock new characters to play through the next time... Kind of like The Binding of Isaac which is another great indie game (if you like it a little weird).
building a landing page
hi everyone, we are building a landing page for our indie game and the thing is that I'm finding some troubles to make a good landing page. We want it to be nice and cool, so it would be great if someone knows a good wordpress template with a simple but attractive layout, you know with video, screenshots and few buttons. I was searching for cool landing pages and my favourite is that http://dodgeroll.com/gungeon/ (I know they didn't use wordpress theme for it) other nice too: https://www.kleientertainment.com/games/dont-starve http://www.frozencortex.com
A few I can recommend from playing with my wife:
My wife adored Don't Starve. It's not multi-player (at least for now - the expansion pack Don't Starve Together has been annouced) but it is a fantastic game. It's easy to learn, has easy basic controls that are always on screen when you need htem, it's really good fun and because you only get one life it can be fun to just see how far each of you can go (my wife just took it in turns and when we got better at it started saving and switching saves every 5 days).
Pure Pool - quite a good little pool simulator, I got it for under £4 and the snooker expansion pack is a good rendition of snooker. Only any good if you both would enjoy a game of pool. Handy bonus - it can be pass-n-play if you only have one controller
Definitely Don't Starve. It has a cartoonish graphic style, almost Burtonesque, so it doesn't need a powerful computer. It may not seem a challenging game, but I assure you it's very deep and rewarding, it's a joy to find a way to survive, one of the best games around I think. And it has multiplayer too if you're interested, it makes an awesome party game!
> This is so easy, I need it to be harder, you guys are scrubs /smug
That's a rude accusation man. I never said I was good, and I never said that Summer was easy. I like challenge. I encourage challenge. Just listen to what the devs call the game: "Don’t Starve is an uncompromising wilderness survival game full of science and magic." (Source: https://www.kleientertainment.com/games/dont-starve )
The Devs even state that this is an, "uncompromising wilderness survival game." So If it is uncompromising shouldn't it be playable, but as hard as possible? I highly encourage a buff to seasons across the board. I'm the kind of person who enjoys a challenge, so extra difficulty is always a great thing in my book.
Beetje voor behang gekeken, maar was niet veel interessants to vinden. Toen maar weer wat Don't Starve gespeeld, lekker onder de deken en luisterend naar de regen. Heeft altijd wel wat zolang je maar niet naar buiten hoeft.
