re new releases.... looks like some stuff did appear - the release below wasn't there yesterday morning at least
https://www.emusic.com/album/170793695/Ross-from-Friends/Family-Portrait
Don't know what kind of music you like, here are 2 options (2nd option is 2 albums/EPs).
Soccer Mommy (indie pop, $3.49):
https://www.emusic.com/album/664724/Soccer-Mommy/For-Young-Hearts
NYC (Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid) plus an Aphex Twin EP (electronic releases, both totaling $3.48):
https://www.emusic.com/album/5847480/Kieran-Hebden--Steve-Reid/NYC https://www.emusic.com/album/9968066/Aphex-Twin/Xylem-Tube-EP
First eMusic download for 2020 will be “Three Seats Behind A Triangle” by Osada Vida. This was ranked No. 24 for 2006 by ProgArchives. An excellent example of modern Prog Rock.
https://www.emusic.com/album/4719281/Osada-Vida/Three-Seats-Behind-a-Triangle
And why would you leave now? You have so many great options, like this one.
Erotic Rhythms: Music for Love and Sex
https://www.emusic.com/album/3218615
Because, let's face it, when we get our groove thing on, who doesn't want the coaxing, sexy melodies of Igor Pumphonia? And names like KirpOta Alex [sic] just drip with sexiness. Why mess with Barry White when you can have Vyacheslav Sketch?
i was thinking of starting a similar thread, although from a slightly different angle...
there seem to be a number of releases/labels etc that can be found through the site search function, which, when clicked on, then go through to the " Sorry, That Album Is Unavailable" page. my question is, is this merely a glitch? and if so, is it a glitch with the search function or the release pages?
in relation to watertower (and its predecessor label new line), the releases were accessible immediately after their reappearance, but soon after gave the "s, t a i u" message.
there are, however, other labels that have been doing this for a long time now... for example, 61 archive releases on planet mu are still showing up in the uk's search (yes, i know that nothing shows up in many territories), but all of them go to "s, t a i u" when they're clicked on.
FWIW, I did find this.
Echo Ladies, "Overrated [Robin Guthrie Mix]/Rebel Rebel" https://www.emusic.com/album/190658110
This was very surprising as a find, because it looked like Hybris, the Swedish label this comes from, was declining at eMusic. Indeed, the Echo Ladies debut EP, which had been in my wish list, vanished a few weeks ago, which I was taking as a signal that the label would soon join all those others and depart. So, kind of surprised to see new content of any kind popping up from them.
ah.... the 7digital thing probably explains why the same thing happened with the most recent hope sandoval ep (lead track turned up... but the ep failed to materialise)
https://www.emusic.com/album/92540299/Hope-Sandoval--The-Warm-Inventions/Sleep
My pleasure. It's as much for me as it is for everyone else. It's just useful to have a visual sense of where things stand, and what's happened over the last year or so.
As for Ipecac... we do indeed seem to have them in the US. And updated by all appearances. The last release was in February '18, a Melvins single.
crikey... a big list.
it's worth noting that there are some regional variations.
sub pop, for example, is available on mainland europe but not the us or uk.
helen scarsdale agency is back in the uk (40 releases) https://www.emusic.com/label/908232/The-Helen-Scarsdale-Agency
still a rump of 4 older releases on city slang in the uk
denovali returned to the uk at least (27 releases) https://www.emusic.com/label/91914/denovali-records
small consolations though... some omissions from your list:
Hi brighternow, Thanks for letting me know it you can't see my list. Though I guess I can still post links to individual albums. Here's some recent ones: Guidebook by lyrical school
Nouten Drop -Present for Himekyun- by himekyun fruits kan
Datte Atashitachi Evergreen by Fukurouzu
I've been to Emusers a few times but not joined yet. Just registered at your suggestion.
I really like the sunny, upbeat sound they have and was surprised to find their whole album free, while the single off of it costs $1. I would happily have paid for this album and feel obliged to share and pay for the single. Another great one for 99 cents is "Costa do Marfim" by Cachorro Grande on eMusic: https://www.emusic.com/album/158367654/Cachorro-Grande/Costa-do-Marfim
Always welcome a new album...this one's more on the electronic side, not far from Adult and Ladytron and maybe a little light for a straight industrial sound, but I like it. It's just 99 cents on eMusic, too, so why not own it? https://www.emusic.com/album/224240020/SIGSALY/Arrival
Here’s a cool track from the depths of obscurity, just over a dozen views on YouTube. I like the fittingly metallic edge and overall darkness in the closing third of the song. The whole EP is just 99 cents on eMusic, on the consistently interesting and experimental Driftless Records: https://www.emusic.com/album/197903972 & much of his discography is free on Bandcamp (though judging from the rest of the Nahoko EP, he might be more electronic than post-rock as a whole). https://andrewabboushi.bandcamp.com/music
Ran out of credits but might have to get this one next month:
https://www.emusic.com/album/78691350/D1-Music-/Club-Christmas-Greatest-Hits
And yet two more Panis Angelicus and Ave Marias:
Me again...can't have too many Panis Angelicuses or Ave Marias
Me again...got "Panis Angelicus" and a couple of "Ave Marias" off this album:
https://www.emusic.com/album/3713609/Various-Artists/Gregorian-Sadness
Don't know if you left this out on purpose, but Vagif Mustafazadeh has a 140 minute compilation of jazz piano thingies for 6.49. https://www.emusic.com/album/220941197 About the “Севиль" album, I agree that everyone should listen to it at least once. For me, once is enough!
I hear something like Spahn Ranch w/ traditional Chinese instruments. 十丈波 is an excellent album I'm pretty sure not many people own. Obviously, not all in Chinese, so don't get scared away for worrying about not understanding lyrics. https://www.emusic.com/album/2578402//
The first track mentions Tirana, and I think the rest of it fits here much better than where it was made, in Mexico. A very challenging but interesting album overall. For those who like their folk music noisy, disjointed, and experimental.
You can buy it on the site I haunt as usual: https://np.emusic.com/album/111823357/Carlos-Marks/Dislalia
Unfortunately, the label JSBL is on jumped ship, as has become all too common in the past year at eMusic. And before I could snap up the remix EP, adding insult to injury.
One I've found not necessarily to replace that but of the style I like is the 2017 EP by Zura: https://np.emusic.com/album/195946743/ZURA/EP
Almost forgot. If you're interested in Shelflife, probably my favorite on their roster is Tears Run Rings. As things currently stand, eMusic MIGHT have an EP of theirs, their debut, but it's on a different label. In fact, let me check...
Okay. Check out Close Lobsters, Airiel, Flyying Colours, Gingerlys, Pia Fraus, Luxembourg Signal, Picnic, and the Castaway Stones. While you can, at any rate.
As for Tears Run Rings, all they have this. It's excellent, but it only hints at how awesome their actual finished albums are.
https://www.emusic.com/album/180558/Tears-Run-Rings-/A-Question-and-an-Answer
Happy to share tastes and nostalgia even further, but here give me data, good sir. DATA, I say! (Only five of my 50 plays of In Sides have been in the last decade I think, but it's cemented in that formative-years sweet spot that nary a music obsessive can avoid succumbing to prefer. I really liked "Seven Days" and it probably made double digits in plays, but with fading interest in trance, it's probably been a decade or more and I worry about techno aging poorly. Given the easy proximity of Eurotrash techno, I approach any Russian electronica with extreme prejudice, but Heroin is indeed a fun listen as I try to reply to everyone...I quite like "Welcome to Entropy" by 444 https://www.emusic.com/album/123497981/444/Welcome-to-Entropy, but I don't know if it's actually Russian or just on a Russian label)
And of course, we would be amiss to forget when female-fronted experimental Italian disco was NSFW, as with Le Streghe: https://np.emusic.com/album/6713639/Le-Streghe/LIniziazione
Knussen is wonderful! I love his 2nd and 3rd symphonies, and assorted vocal and chamber works I've heard. I haven't come across this little chamber piece before, but I agree that it is delightful.
https://www.emusic.com/album/917833/Popsimonova/Brokedown-Palace
Front 242 meets Zsa Zsa Gabor, darlink.
Highly recommended, especially the first half of the album is great.
One more:
Steph Saraj looks about several orders of magnitude more serious than his music here: https://www.emusic.com/album/214089300/Steph-Saraj/Live-Yuh-Life I can’t tell if something is sewn onto his arm or he’s holding a sword, staff, cane, or otherwise gilded stick.
Maybe he’s not yet a master, but Igor Nikolaev struck gold here: https://www.emusic.com/album/942498/Igor-Nikolaev/Prosti-i-otpusti
Also, do you trust this guy’s and sharp, toothy grin to have only jazz on his mind? https://www.emusic.com/album/5236079/Duan-Gr/Evergreeny-4
@hello-cthulhu As we’ve discussed in other threads, eMusic must know that Merge and Polyvinyl are the last legit labels standing for rock, and it’d be a lethal self-inflicted wound to let either of them go. But your methods for predicting endangerment have been spot-on in the past.
Tangentially, since I know it’s one of the deepest felt losses on this forum, I wonder if you or others with some time could sample the Russian label Свет и Тени https://www.emusic.com/label/839089/--?sortField=POPULARITY&descending&pageNumber=1
I want to call it the Russian Sub Pop or Polyvinyl (not just for rock) but am hesitant for wanting to avoid doing the “X is the different-country version of Y’ comparisons, maybe not being accurate, and the tendency on this forum to ridicule certain soft targets. If you can make a better label comparison, I’d be most interested. In any case, once I’m done with a current regional project it might be time to focus on passable rock substitutes. Curious, of course, what smaller labels in particular you noticed being gone and if you have any aces in the hole that might ease my brute force searching.
It seems to be acting quite oddly, but I THINK it's still up and available, at least as of now, 1:27 am, 7/29, in the US.
https://www.emusic.com/label/16851/Static-Caravan
What's odd though, is that I'm having trouble finding Art of the Memory Palace. The closest I found was this single.
But the thing is, the band's name yields zero hits if you search for it separately, not even the above single. Also, it only lets you look at the first page of results. There are supposedly 92 releases from this label currently at eMusic, but clicking on the 2nd page yields nothing. You can alternate between lists of popularity by month, year, and release date though, which does change up the list somewhat.
So, I tried something else - "eMusic.com" and "Art of the Memory Palace" in my search engine (DuckDuckGo). And voila: I got this link.
https://www.emusic.com/album/1507428/Art-of-the-Memory-Palace/This-Life-Is-But-a-Passing-Dream
Was that the album you were attempting to purchase?
I just verified that. It's gone in the US too. A few more wish-list deletions here...
You know, I should thank eMusic. They're making it so easy to quit now. The stuff in my wish list is dwindling, and honestly, I'm surprised I've been able find what I have this long.
yeah... now seems that all of the releases go to that page.

curiously new line (the old moniker of watertower) has also been added today in the uk, clicking on those releases goes through to the actual release (rather than "this album is unavailable"), but there is a playback error on all the previews that i tried.
i noticed that a couple of labels have started to (at least partially) reappear... lapsus and watertower (soundtracks) are notable. probably been gone by next week though...
Yes, that's right, jazz is dead. It's just another cheap product for the consumers head. ;)
Bought this the other day: https://www.emusic.com/album/95288139/Mammal-Hands/Shadow-Work
Yet have to hear the whole album (as opposed to the 1 minute samples), so can't comment on it.
Here's the link, for anyone who wants to see this for themselves.
https://www.emusic.com/album/23290944/Steven-Seagal/Songs-From-The-Crystal-Cave
The funny thing is, this was one of the Staff Listens! It's one of the few that are still in eMusic. By the way, those staff listens STILL haven't been updated, so about half of them are now links to albums no longer in the eMusic catalog. Just when you start thinking that the situation there couldn't get more absurd... it does.
More and more the question is whether there is an "other side of the office" for the marketing team to be oblivious of. Is it now just Dave in 'Deletions' and new marketing haven't met him yet because Dave's so busy?
But it's not too surprising the tweets focus on the positive (from eMusic's perspective). What are they going to tweet about on the subscriptions side? Their fine selection of albums themed for International Women's Day, like Lounge Arena and Erotic Rhythms? Or they could get Dave to tweet he's not so busy after all, so annual subscribers can renew in confidence.
Sam's silence here matches with tweets like that one about their new ecosystem. There just clearly isn't any positive news about the old ecosystem. Not yet anyway. We'll just have to wait for the inevitable tweet letting us know that the retail/subscription side is being spun off under a new name eBootleg.com. After all very soon that's all that's going to be left, there's no sign of those "labels" pulling "their" content.
Without a question, the single best thing Merge ever released - and one of the best albums of the last 20 years - is Magnetic Fields' 69 Love Songs. Of the stuff left, this is almost certainly the best thing you can purchase at eMusic right now.
https://www.emusic.com/album/5487008/The-Magnetic-Fields/69-Love-Songs
Odd thing... Rockbeat Records is back. I checked as many of the others here as I could, and as far as I could tell, none of them are back. This brings back the multi-disk Wrecking Crew Soundtrack, but most of what else they have consists of live albums, of dubious officiality for each artists' discography.
Happens sometimes. I never tried to be too explicit about it here, because I was worried that it might alert someone and it'd get added to the next purge. But at this point, I'm so fed up that I don't care about more, so I'll tell you another. If you like Bjork, you might check One Little Indian. That label was purged, but a chunk of it survived under "One Little Indian Records." They also have Kitchens of Distinction (just one EP, but still) and the Twilight Singers (ditto).
https://www.emusic.com/album/4641428/Kitchens-Of-Distinction/Breathing-Fear?album_ref=Label
https://www.emusic.com/album/4090836/The-Twilight-Singers/A-Stitch-In-Time?album_ref=Label
Some links for you. The Ladytron LP arrived right on time, to eMusic's credit. It's now the #4 best selling album at eMusic, and for good reason, because it rocks.
https://www.emusic.com/album/196938078/Ladytron/Ladytron
As for Xiu Xiu, their album is still MIA. I don't know why. Polyvinyl is still represented, and they have Xiu Xiu singles from that album from January of this year. I hope this doesn't mean that Polyvinyl is about to cut eMusic off. As we all agree here, eMusic's remaining content is quickly becoming a ghost town, and Polyvinyl is probably second only to Merge in terms of well-established indie labels that remain. Anyway, the Xiu Xiu release IS out now, and available at Bandcamp and other retailers. (Though interestingly enough, it's NOT at 7Digital, which may be why it's not yet at eMusic.)
https://xiuxiu.bandcamp.com/album/girl-with-basket-of-fruit
Pye Corner Audio, the other release listed here for Feb. 15th, is at eMusic.
https://www.emusic.com/album/198710811/Pye-Corner-Audio/Hollow-Earth
Been eyeing: https://www.emusic.com/album/140280428/Various-Artists/American-Primitive-The-Complete-Recordings
And not just because of the hilarious typo in the title of track 19!

All this whingeing about the state of eMusic's catalogue when gems like this one are being made available on a daily basis.
There's also a wonderful video to go with it on YouTube.
nothing so sinister... i think planet mu has a different distribution deal for north america, so not so surprising that it comes up blank. the page still shows me 61 archive releases from the planet mu label, but each one gives the same message of unavailabilty.

while i'm on SPV seemed to be the restoration of the revisited label which went missing a couple of months ago... mostly reissues of old rock albums - a couple of interesting krautrock releases were hidden away in there (amon düül II and holger czukay for example). the content still turns up via search, but gives the error message when clicked on (if it helps, the samples didn't play when the releases were added on wednesday/thursday)
i've noticed this a bit... albums come up via search and on band/label pages but then are " Sorry, That Album Is Unavailable " when you actually click on it (the residual planet mu releases also do this https://www.emusic.com/label/517302/Planet-Mu-Records-Ltd) i'd just assumed it was a bug... maybe someone (sam or ca) could let us know....
Can't help but share some more gallow's humor--this album "The Spiral" on Death Waltz Originals is still on my wishlist:
https://www.emusic.com/album/44166091/Pye-Corner-Audio/The-Spiral?album_ref=Wish%20List
I will definitely have to pick it up before the waltz is complete.
I'll do my best, but there's only so much I can say. For starters, you can take a look at our roadmap on token.emusic.com. Among the things we're building now are platforms to help independent artists get going in the complicated world of streaming. The new platform we're building will allow them to publish their music, manage their rights and royalties, and gain fair payment in a whole new way on the blockchain. As we gain more support for this platform -- which has provided us a unique opportunity to connect on a personal level with artists such as underground rapper Don Rio and Matthew Gordon Price -- yes indeed, we are working very hard to bring back the lost content on our download store.
Here's a link to the emu page for the Mingus archival release... https://www.emusic.com/album/186074257/Charles-Mingus/Jazz-in-Detroit--Strata-Concert-Gallery--46-Selden?album_ref=Artist%20Albums
It's never been released before. The album is released by BBE Records, which is a legit operation. So, basically, it's not one of these classic jazz albums that these sketchy "labels" copy from the original and then sell on eMusic because the copyright law allows them to. The new Mingus is an actual thing. Now, as to whether eMusic is paying anyone for album sales, that's obviously something I can't confirm.
And I don't know anything about this singer but I do love her voice: https://www.emusic.com/album/85402045/-featuring-YON/Winter-Song
On Thursday, I was very pleasantly surprised to find Blue Chemise's new record, 'Daughters of Decay,' on emusic.
https://www.emusic.com/album/189782889/Blue-Chemise/Daughters-Of-Time?album_ref=Label
Not sure when this popped up, but it hadn't been there the last eight times I'd looked! This record was one of the top five items I'd been looking to purchase one one platform or another.
Boomkat says of the record:
> "Beautifully haunted, tripped out and richly absorbing set of apparitions recalling the most sylvan shadows of Aphex Twin's ‘SAW II’, Leyland Kirby / The Caretaker at his creepiest and the spectres of Loren Connors “airs"...
I definitely recommend it. If emusic can come through with two more items from my wishlist, I'll be glad to continue my emusic subscription when it comes up for renewal in January.
It's also amusing to see when there's stuff that they were supposed to take down, but didn't.
For example, they forgot about a Cranberries single. Check out the name of the record label.
https://www.emusic.com/album/2041556/The-Cranberries/Tomorrow
That's right. It's like they left a note to remind themselves to delete that single, and just never got around to it.
We're also lucky that sometimes, variations in a record label's name means that some material that was slated for deletion is still there. So... word to the wise. Even if a label you like has been deleted, you might still find some of their stuff in the catalog in nooks and crannies.
Sure. See the top review here.
https://www.emusic.com/album/2857751/Low/Things-We-Lost-in-the-Fire
Or here.
https://www.emusic.com/album/158956106/Crash-Test-Dummies/Oooh-La-La
Or here.
This is odd. Good, but odd. This release finally did pop up at eMusic, after it finally emerged at 7Digital. But the link was different than the one you listed.
https://www.emusic.com/album/163056435/Echo-Ladies/Pink-Noise
In the US at least, your link above still goes to "Album Unavailable." But as far as I know, this is a Swedish label, and released on that same label internationally. Still, not going to look a gift horse in the mouth here.
would certainly be useful to understand which releases...
echo ladies is showing up in the uk at least... (as are releases by jorja smith, eartheater, yob, angelique kidjo etc)
https://www.emusic.com/album/155998136/Echo-Ladies/Pink-Noise
and L.I.E.S is back too... crikey!
https://www.emusic.com/label/89595/LIES?sortField=RELEASE_DATE&descending&pageNumber=1
yay! some good news... bpitch control appears to have reappeared (even the legendary 'new ellen allien', although now not so new... https://www.emusic.com/album/161532690/Ellen-Allien/Nost).
I saw this the other day and was alarmed. But, I had some Kompakt albums in my wish lists and they were still available.
Later in the day (or evening) the titles were showing again when searching by label. They are OK at the moment in the US:
That sucks, man. It might just be those three albums?
Let me throw a few more links at you. I don't really know this music at all, so it could be crap, but this is stuff that I know came out over the last week or so.
Brazilian Girls, Let's Make Love
https://www.emusic.com/album/144731386/Brazilian-Girls/Lets-Make-Love
Echo Machine, St. Elmo
https://www.emusic.com/album/159203903/Echo-Machine/St-Elmo
Fan, Barton's Den
There are several labels with variations of the Frontline name, at least in the US.
Is this the one you mean? Only five releases left, fairly old ones. https://www.emusic.com/label/64564/Frontline-Records
https://www.emusic.com/album/149445949/Sinad-OConnor/Three-Babies and https://www.emusic.com/album/150729874/Sinad-OConnor/The-Emperors-New-Clothes For instance. They were released as 12"" singles but do have 4 tracks on them so is that classed as an EP ?
Ah... this was missing as of 11:50am today, but I guess it's back? When I typed ESP-Disk into the search field, I only found "ESP-Disk" without the apostrophe. In other words, this link:
https://www.emusic.com/label/125769/ESP-Disk
In any case, I'll re-edit the changes I made to the Deleted and In Danger/Delayed lists.
Hey guys, we are not seeing any issues with ESP Disk' in the US on our end. Can you tell me what happens when you try to access this page, so we can try and debug this? https://www.emusic.com/label/641598/ESP-Disk?sortField=RELEASE_DATE&descending&pageNumber=1
By coincidence, I don't know the Mendelssohn quartets and so I just recently bought a collection of all of them performed by different ensembles. I've been enjoying them all; I think my favorites are the A-minor Op.13, which begins and ends with a poignant little song called Ist es Wahr? ("Is It True?" apparently); and No. 6, which is, I would say, troublingly stormy.
Now, this is my first go-round, so I can't say anything about these recordings compared to others. I will say that they sound good to me, and I like the way the collection has been put together, with the song included right before the A-minor so we can see the connection, and various really attractive pieces for string quartet that are not a conventional four-movement Haydn-style quartet.
weirdly just noticed that planet mu has had a new release added...
planet mu is not on this list but arguably should be for the uk at least because it's more recent (eg last 2 years) had been pulled from the site about 3 or 4 months ago, leaving a rump of older releases from 2016 or before to choose from... suddenly the new mu-ziq has appeared (although may soon disappear). https://www.emusic.com/album/156180477/-ziq/Challenge-Me-Foolish
YES. I've been a fan of theirs for some time now, ever since the Civilian LP. I'm happy that at least Merge is still in the FB catalog.
As for Xiu Xiu... well, I look forward to hearing what you think. People tend to really love them or hate them. While certainly known for their own original work, they are at least equally known for their covers. They did an entire album of Nina Simone songs, but keep in mind, their primary vocalist is male, so... quite different. They also covered the Pussycat Dolls "Don't Cha", and that turned the song completely on its head into this darkly desperate song that you might imagine featuring in a Fatal Attraction remake... as directed by David Lynch, so it kind of fits that they'd try Twin Peaks, I suppose.
https://www.emusic.com/album/3754975/XIU-XIU/Nina
https://www.emusic.com/album/2567528/XIU-XIU/Tu-Mi-Piaci
Unfortunately, I don't see that eMusic has their most accessible original work any more, "The Air Force." But that's worth hunting down.
I'll do some checking. At least in the US, Phantasy does seem to be a perpetually non-updating label. The most recent release in the US is from September 2015. I couldn't find any connection to PIAS, at least in my very superficial perusal of the Wikipedia page.
this is my favourite version of the problem... a release is listed in a weird way where most tracks appear twice (some just the once, some three or more), but always one of the duplicates has the 'playback error' which then forces you to play the samples manually - well done emusic!
https://www.emusic.com/album/126189/willamette/Diminished-Composition
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Just one change to make perhaps as, in the U.K. at least, Metal Blade records is now totally gone :'(
A couple of labels that have disappeared from the UK in last couple of weeks:
RE: Sub Pop: https://www.emusic.com/label/37677/Sub-Pop?sortField=RELEASE_DATE&descending&pageNumber=1 538 albums available in Europe, the latest 8 are singles. https://www.emusic.com/album/50935551/Afghan-Whigs/Demon-in-Profile
Matt, I spoke too soon in my comment above - I've found these which fail the booklet pricing - one of them because the booklet appears twice - so your developers need to revisit this area. I haven't purchased either of these, so am not expecting credit! https://www.emusic.com/album/4473425/Han-Quartet/Daqun-Jia-Chamber-Works-Vol-2 https://www.emusic.com/album/1934444/Norrkping-Symphony-Orchestra/Rota-Symphony-No-3--Concerto-Festivo--Le-Moliere-Imaginaire---Ballet-Suite
This album still appears to be charging for the booklet (album has 10 tracks, but album price is for 11 tracks i.e. includes booklet as 11th track at £0.42): https://www.emusic.com/album/75122846/Marnie/Strange-Words-and-Weird-Wars
I got all exited about the number of albums has increased from 68 to 73.
But it all had to do with double posting:
https://www.emusic.com/album/1109707/Barry-Schrader/EAM
At this point I would be happy with consistency:
All albums in a series have the same artist (Petrenko & Royal Liverpool's Shostakovich symphonies on Naxos do not)
Composers included (seldom the case in classical now)
Composition title and not just movement title for each track (https://www.emusic.com/album/363427/Justin-Taylor/La-famille-Forqueray, tracks 2-7 for example))
Not only are we expected to pay for digital booklets, sometimes we are expected to pay twice: https://www.emusic.com/album/1476939/Trio-Zimmermann/Mozart-Divertimento-K-563 The booklet is listed twice with the same track number, but the album charge is still for 9 tracks.
Same here. Purchase button looks ok, but when I click it I get Error: Sorry, this album is not available for purchase at this time (code: INVALID_PRODUCT_ID).
Also, is this pricing ok? It says $0.99 for the full album: https://www.emusic.com/album/4413926/Many-Arms/Many-Arms
I love Christmas music too (even as a stone-cold atheist), and could dig up plenty of recs, but my #1 recommendation, because I got it as one from a long-ago emusic thread and love it so much:
I've got a new request.
Echobelly, Anarchy and Alchemy, Fauve Records.
Notice that eMusic DOES already have the first single from this new album, also entitled "Anarchy and Alchemy." But the request here is for the whole new album.
The "Anarchy & Alchemy" single, NOT the album. https://www.emusic.com/album/6636758/58957756/Echobelly/Anarchy-and-Alchemy/track/Anarchy-and-Alchemy

hmmm... not so sure. just used google to check and looked at a couple of erased tapes releases - all now had the dreaded 'full album unavailable' message (example: https://www.emusic.com/album/4342299/lafur-Arnalds--Nils-Frahm/Loon)
same now applies to releases on domino... (didn't earlier).
Hey Matt,
I've sent an e-mail (no reply), I've asked on twitter (no reply) so I might as well ask here as well:
What happened to Nuclear Blast? It was there in the beta but now it's gone (in Europe)
