Or better yet, GiMeSpace's power control. Tray icon let's you switch between your two chosen profiles in just by clicking it and it can automatically switch profile based on CPU utilisation.
Currently have it set to go to the Ryzen balanced profile if CPU is above 60% and the back down to power saver if it falls down below 20%, but I'm still experimenting trying to find best values..
I haven't experienced it, but I can see what you mean (config screen is 877 pixels tall and cannot be resized).
What about something like GiMiSpace? It's a virtual desktop that you can choose the resolution of (say 1280x900). You then have a 720p moveable 'viewing window' into that desktop.
GiMi has a free trial and is about $20. I'll look for some alternatives and edit this if I find them.
(edit) Before Digital River bought it, there was a free version of GiMiSpace.
Couldn't find anything else that behaves in a similar way.
I've never tried it, but it looks like GiMeSpace does exactly what you want it to. I think I might even try it on a Windows laptop real quick to see if it's worth it. I have a Windows 7 laptop that this could have been useful on a few times.
Edit: like /u/GoodbyeDefaults said, there is the Bing maps API. I'm sure there's a better solution to making these things than screenshotting. I know it's a simple workaround and I do simple workarounds all the time, but I know there's got to be a better way.
