Loling at /u/pokeread101 comment. Yes, three alternatives are Splitview, GridMode, and nVidia Grids
Use snap assist that came included with Windows 10 if you have it.
Edit: Holy cow batman, didn't realize how old these programs were.....
I use this all the time, but work has us stuck on w7. I found a sweet little tool that essentially does the same thing for windows 7. Even works on dual monitors (maybe triple but I don't know).
Grid.... Grid.... Fuck. Grid something.
Grab also GridMove. It allows you to define custom grids that you drop windows onto which resizes the window to a previously specified size.
So you can quickly move windows side by side, one above the other, maximised, first third V remaining two thirds, spread across two monitors, etc.
If you have Nvidia drivers you can use the Nvidia Tool Management Program (I forget it's name) to place the start menu on the centre screen (I need to do this under Win XP, perhaps Win 7 can do this natively).
Gridmove is great for this, just middle button drag a window into a custom tile. The drag can be initiated from any location within the window so the full motion is sort of a flick with almost no precision required. Keyboard shorcuts and other methods can be used as well.
in some ways the most awesome one is GridMove. It takes some time to configure. It can do crazy ass stuff. Plus there are premade layouts in the forum. It will blow your mind.
I use a tool called GridMove with a 4-by-4 grid and a few custom settings to get rid of annoyances I had with it's default configuration. I can middle click drag any window on the screen and it drags to one of the four corners.
I've setup other grid layouts for working with Unreal Engine, etc. 99% of my time is spent in 4-up view.

Specifically, drag to screen edge and drag window title made it complete shit, but now it is a very isolated feature that doesn't interfere with anything and works effectively for 99% of applications.
Rarely, certain apps ignore the resize command, it wasn't a commonly used app of mine.
Show them gridmove and blow their minds. I have it configured so I can hold down the middle mouse button and drag to a section on either of my monitors or use CTRL+SHIFT+Number to jump the window straight there.
http://jgpaiva.dcmembers.com/gridmove.html You want to partition screens? perhaps these may be of help

Gridmove, for Windows, if you need something more than just left/right docking. ~~ I think there might be a Mac equivalent, but I don't remember.~~
http://alternativeto.net/software/gridmove/?platform=mac - I've known people who've used Divvy and BTT/BST.
There's a 3rd party tool called GridMove that might do what you're asking. I've never used it but from what I understand it allows you to define locations for windows to snap to. Worth a look.
Website is here: http://jgpaiva.dcmembers.com/gridmove.html
I use this to snap apps to half of my screen. I thought we were going to part ways when I put Win7 on but I've found it to be superior to the built in Snap feature. I have it setup so I can drag windows to the grid by holding the middle mouse button.
