> Multiple tabs
So Sets isn't completely dead at least, it sounded like it was. Stardock Groupy does tabs really well and it's really annoying having to work on a PC without it now haha, really good for workflow.
Just saw that you're on Linux, I was going to recommend either Groupy or TidyTabs but they're both Windows only. I've used both, and I much prefer Groupy over TidyTabs to the point it's become as essential to my workflow as the Taskbar is. It won't help you, but it might help someone else.
You can modify the UI of Vivaldi with CSS and JavaScript, but I've never delved very far into it.
On another note, I really wish that KDE would bring back native tabbed window support. It was a feature of KDE 4.x and has never been implemented in 5.x. I found an official listing of missing features a couple of years ago and it was still listed, but I can't find that page again.
https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/ does this already for any app, its a tiny bit buggy in windows 11. automatic grouping of explorer windows doesnt work at least, but the "new tab" button works.
You might want to try groupy.
It is a paid application but it will let you group several windows in a tabbed way but also save them as a group.
But I assume you want them splitscreen as "group" if this is the case it might not help you at all.
Anyway the link to the software: https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/
Groupy might work. I've never used it, but I really like the "Fences" product from Stardock.
Looks like you can try it free for 30-days and if you like it then it's only $5.
Stardock makes an app called Groupy that does exactly this. It's not free but, it was the best $5 I've spent on a Windows program.
Edit: I didn't notice that someone else had already mentioned this app. The dangers of commenting from mobile I guess.
Not Notion native, but if it's really bugging you and you need something in the interim I personally use Groupy by Stardock: https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/. Seems to work out well, relatively cheap, and added bonus of working with more than just Notion!
I encounter this type of situation frequently in my work. I use a "work-around" by using a utility called Groupy
https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/
I group the app's together that I need to work with and set up my Stream deck to switch back and forth through my work.
That is why I downloaded groupy. Sure its $5, but it saves so much screen real estate.
I also used their Start10 product so Windows 10 didn't look like shit. In the past I used Classic Shell for the Start Menu, but often found myself bricking it and causing more problems then I was solving.

Sorry for the poor picture quality but up at the top of this app you will see different apps and browsers grouped into one task bar. It's especially helpful in clipboard mode because I don't have to fumble around clicking different icons at the bottom taskbar. Really helps when I'm writing notes but also need a browser open to look something up or check my To-Do List once I am done with something.
Been trying out the Insider Previews, never heard or tried to use sets that are for handlings multiple accounts.
What I frankly hate tho is that the when opening a new set in file explorer, it shows the Edge program with a list of apps instead of a new file explorer tab. Same can be said when using command prompt and notepad.
Stardock's Groupy seems to fix that problem, but it doesn't seem to work anymore on my build
Check out Groupy, though don't consider this a recommendation as I haven't used it personally, I've just heard it's good. Also, it's funny you should ask as Microsoft are developing similar functionality for a future version of Windows 10, probably v1809 / RS5. It will be called Sets, apparently.
Hello :) I used a software called Stardock Groupy, you should try it. Another program you can use is QTTabbar which is highly customizable and free.
Enjoy :)
Heyy :) I've found the solution to the "program" thing indeed - but when i restarted the PC, the "program" thing was gone - but was replaced by two "Update" things which i cannot find in their paths shown in the Command line Column (Task Manager) - Now i know though it had something to do with Teams so I'm not worried
The Tabs program i used is called Stardock Groupy ; but there are others like QTtabber which is highly customizable (uninstall it with its own uninstaller if you want to remove it) and TidyTabs which I haven't tried yet.
You can try Stardock Groupy.

Although it is paid, there is a 30 day trail version in case you want to try before buying.
Get Groupy. You can tab your windows into a single window and move between them with Win+~ or whatever you set the shortcut to be. 30 day free trial and $5 to purchase.
There are workarounds for the lack of tabs. On Windows, one example is Groupy. I got the free trial and tried it with Alacritty, and it worked well enough.
I didn't end up paying for Groupy, because I didn't end up sticking with Alacritty. The major non-starter for me is poor Unicode support. For example, when I paste (A ∪ B) ∖ (A ∩ B)
into Alacritty, all I get is (A B) (A B)
.
So it is in fact possible for a GNOME Shell extension to display some GUI just above a window (for displaying the tabs)? With the GUI also being above it when the applications are fullscreen? And synchronize the movement of multiple windows without having the other windows visually lagging behind the active window? And to (temporarily on-the-fly) disable the CSD in those windows so the close button, etc could be shown in my GUI (like on this screenshot from Groupy)?

I wish it was, but unfortunately it's not. You can find it here:

If you click "download" you can also try it for 30 days to see if you like it
Windows doesn't always get it right. In some cases Windows does things better than Linux and OSX, but in this regard, Windows is definitely light years behind. It really is dumb that they haven't added tabs to the explorer file manager yet.
I in the meantime shelled out money and use Groupy. It's not perfect, but it works for the explorer windows. https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/
That makes sense, Clover recently started pestering me with popups in Chinese. I can't read Chinese so I dismissed it a few times but eventually I just gave in and clicked the big button. It performed a kind of installation and since then Windows Defender has been really unhappy with it since.
I've looked into alternatives like Stardock Groupy and Explorer++, but neither really works for me quite like Clover does.
The search continues I suppose :(
If you want it as a paid 3rd party feature, Groupy will do it. https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/ You can group Windows windows into the same window in tabs, and even group other programs with multiple windows into one "window"
I use paper (i have millions of sheets) mainly for brainstorming and diagramming. But mainly I work on the computer or phone. I've found that there are some things, such as chaos mapping, that I can't quite replicate on a computer -- even using a program like Scapple. With a pencil and paper, you can work at the speed of thought, draw boxes, connect them, add tags, write comments instantly. In the best computer program, there's slowdown because you have to deal with the UI.
For important things that are on paper, I scan them into the computer. I once bought a Galaxy tablet thinking I could use that instead of paper. You can, but I get the same effect with pencil and paper and sheets of paper can emulate multiple monitors. A single Galaxy tablet can't do that.
For computer work, you might try Groupy. It lets you combine programs into a single window that has tabs.
