Could also use iVCam (iOS, Android) for free if you're happy with 720p; higher resolutions (including 4K) cost, but 720p with a high-quality camera looks far, far better than most webcams anyway.
No worries, thanks for your reply!

I'm using IVcam https://www.e2esoft.com/ivcam/ , it gives me us of all the cameras of my phone and allows for custom settings like ISO, Brightness, contrast etc

NOTE:
In trial mode, there’s a voice of “TRIAL VERSION” in the iVCam microphone, which can be removed by purchase. If you buy from the app side, please note that the “BASIC” subscription does not include microphone feature, so the voice will not be removed.

Yes a cooler is like a stand for laptop with a big fan or fans inside that pushes extra air into the bottom for the laptop to cool more efficiently.
I am very happy with it. I got no issues since the start. This is my first proper gaming machine with a dGPU. It's only a 1650 but not having to worry about lowering the settings in games to get playable fps is an immense relief. Speakers are powerful, the tiny subwoofer vibrates the bed at medium volume when I am using it for movies before bed. Screen is accurate and clear, 1080p 60Hz. Battery idle draw is 4-7W for me and rarely goes over 10W even on normal usage so that's a solid 8-10 hours from 100-0 although I cap it at 60%. This thing is so light and compact that coming from a 15" i5 8th gen work laptop that I almost couldn't believe it is as powerful as it is. You're going to love it!
iVcam !!! It's an app that I use 😊 just download it to your device and then your computer and as long as they are on th same internet they should just connect themselves

Nice set up! I was going to buy a c920 webcam. But came across some software called IVCAM a few months back, costs $9.
Basically you can stream video from your phone to your computer over your network, and use it as a webcam for any application. Works great and quality is very good!
Check it out if you want and let me know if you have any questions
I have an alternative idea, seeing as it might be more doable:
There is an OBS Broadcast app for iOS. I could set up VLC to grab the stream and save every 5th frame or so to the live session folder.
Then on the app I just have to turn the feed on and off again.
I'll give this a go now, although I think the OBS stream app costs a fair bit, so any alternatives that are good would be welcome, and obviously 4k support would be nice.
UPDATE
BROTHERS I HAVE DONE IT FOR THE GLORY OF THE EMPEROR
I ended up using this: https://www.e2esoft.com/ivcam/ and paying the $10 for the desktop client
That gives you a photo app on your iPhone that will take 4k pictures and sync them immediately. It will also do video.
I'm still figuring out the Meshroom live reconstruction part, it's being a bit funky. I think I need to lock down some camera settings on the phone too (which is all done through the desktop app), but in principle it's working and for not much cost.
The quality is a bit rough but I think that's actually down to settings: https://i.imgur.com/EkVZ87r.jpg
My main problem right now is a lot of the iOS image metadata isn't saved this way, and I can't see a way to force the camera model in Meshroom.
In the meantime, you can also use your phone as a web cam using the free app iVCam. It would through either a USB connection or Wifi. I use the app for live-streaming and it works pretty well, I like it enough to have bought the paid version which just gets rid of ads. You can also use the mic on your phone through the app as well.

I've been using it to help with video making (I can never keep myself in frame so I rely on looking at my PC screen here and there LOL), and it's been great! It even has a beauty filter and smooths everything out. You gotta pay like $8 for the unlocked version but it's pretty worth it imo.
I use iVCam ($8 in-app purchase) with an iPhone and a Windows PC. It shows up as a webcam on the computer and works pretty well. You do need to find some way of mounting the phone though.
