IVERSITY offers free online courses that give you real ECTS credits. You pay a bit for the certificate but the courses range from storytelling and gamification to finance and science
Only kinda tbh.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_(social_and_political)
It's essentially that power/force over someone is justified by politics. Traditionally the monarch justified his power over others because it was "given by god".
Anarchists reject the paradigm that anyone should be over anyone else, but we are still justifying the use of power to prevent anyone from taking control of another.
It isn't directly said a lot but this guy goes into a lot of detail and is much more eloquent than me

We had a MOOC about this some time ago. Unfortunately you can online view the material, if you joined before a certain date. :/

(Maybe you can reach out to the folks at iversity and ask, if they can still sign you up.)
Thank you! I watched a german (it is taught in english) course named The Future of Storytelling. I think you may like it! https://iversity.org/en/courses/the-future-of-storytelling I love how internet can be this beautiful community of learners. Throughout the years I've fell in love with several online courses that proved to be very helpful. As a Brazilian, I have to say a huge THANKS to YOU and to ALL the involved with Crash Course (especially Literature). Without the video lessons I would never care to read those that are now among my favourite novels (The Catcher in the rye and To Kill a Mockingbird), because in Brazil during high school we read portuguese and brazilian literature only. I would love to have the chance to talk with you about books and writing, and how to decrease world suck. You and Hank are really inspiring people! DFTBA!!!
You can do this course if you don't mind a german accent. https://iversity.org/en/courses/modelling-and-simulation-using-matlab-august-2015
(look down on the page for the free "audit track" to get access to all the stuff for free.) It is similar to udacity, short videos with quizes and/or short assignments.
There ia this mooc starting https://iversity.org/en/courses/spanish-for-beginners i would say you should give it a try. It ends on the 16th but if you enrol in the free track before end, you will have access to all course material with the exception of a graded exam.
I found these as well;
edit; (coursera course is inactive for the time being)
Study Guides and Strategies for CT
And another course by Iversity on CT which looks to be very promising
Here's an offtopic link - https://iversity.org/my/courses/monte-carlo-methods-in-finance/preview - I think it would be OK to take to get an idea of what are the possibilities. Get ready to be amazed of course.
Monte carlo methods in Finance - it's the use of Computers in Finance (Math)
Dude. This is how I know you don't know what you are talking about. The economic term is FAIR WAGE. I'm just parroting stuff I learned 25 years ago in my classroom in economics highschool. This is not a belief, this is how basic economics works.
I'm not saying that I have come up with a number out of thin air that I consider is a fair wage for people.
This is economics. In economics, they assume that people have in their head an idea of what a fair wage should be based on living expenses. The government calculates this. It is literally about ethics in economics, which is the whole field of how fair relates to a free market, and how actors in that system, in this case people behave.
You think I'm coming up with the idea of a fair wage, and I'm NOT. I'm not "thinking this", this is established economic doctrine that I'm telling you. This is FACTS FROM ECONOMICS 101 TEXTBOOKS.
Here is a course where one of the weeks headings is "Minimum and Living Wages." ie: two separate terms.
https://iversity.org/en/courses/fair-wage-strategies-in-a-global-economy
I'm not saying it's a judgemental fair wage on my part, I'm saying there's an economic definition of FAIR WAGE and you don't know what that means.
I can't even talk to you about this because you lack the very basic economic vocabulary to have it!
This is one of the segments on display at the Smithsonian:

There are some pretty bright surviving pieces.

i enjoyed this one

sadly it did not improve my programming style!

One of my favorite sites for finding MOOCs is http://www.openculture.com/ The Open University is the world’s leading provider of flexible, high quality online degrees and distance learning/e learning, serving students across the globe with highly respected degree qualifications, including the triple accredited MBA degree.
Here's another one that sounds promising for your purposes. http://www.openuniversity.edu/ Open University is the world’s leading provider of flexible, high quality online degrees and distance learning/e learning, serving students across the globe with highly respected degree qualifications, including the triple accredited MBA degree.
https://iversity.org/ Free MOOCs—massive open online courses—get new traction because of the offerings at iversity. Anyone with Internet access can choose from a variety of classes, spending as much time with them as they desire. Currently courses are in English and German.
Im in the same boat as you Biz_hacker, a friend of mine recommended to go through these free social media classes but I'm not sure how effective a 6week course can be for startups. Try it and see if its any use; https://iversity.org/en/courses/digital-and-social-media-marketing?r=1c4c8
Hi,I've sent you my email id through PM.The thing is im not sure how to prepare. This is the link to the course at clemson university : http://www.clemson.edu/ces/departments/automotive-engineering/academic-programs/automotive-engineering-curriculum-masters.html
We have to choose,an area of concentration based on the given tracks.Since I am more interested in suspensions and chassis and the like I think,i might opt for the courses on tires and vehicle dynamics. Firstly I'm not completely sure if that it covers the stuff im interested in,secondly,if it is how do i prepare for it. Now vehicle dynamics, from what I know its the study of what happens to a vehicle when it moves, like during braking, accelerating, cornering etc.I went through a couple of video lectures posted on opencourseware from the IIT's in india and it seemed like you need to know physics well(and I'm confused with the names such as Kinematics, kinetics, dynamics, statics,I know I learnt some of it a uni,but not sure what is what). The course in itself seemed math intense, where they treat a car as a mathematical model and you derive the dynamics for longitudinal, lateral and vertical motion. They mentioned the use of the Newton-euler equation etc.
https://iversity.org/en/courses/vehicle-dynamics-i-accelerating-and-braking
This is a link to an online video course, its not the one I saw,but I think it covers similar stuff. It has given a list of different topics we should know before embarking on the course, but I'm not sure which branches of physics/engineering they belong to (Kinematics, kinetics, dynamics, statics ?)Maybe you can help me figure out which ones they are,and if this course covers what I'm interested in..
Point groups of molecules (or atoms) and space groups of crystals are two different things. Have look at our MOOC if you are interested in crystallographic space groups.

Are you familiar with the expression, "It's not even wrong"? That's where your arguments are right now.
I'd recommend taking a few courses on political philosophy and learning the basics first. Have a couple options.
