Ok so I got the legs from goodwill for $5 in the box and everything. But I honestly think they have them at Home Depot for like 20. I got the handles on amazon-they were an opened box. They were silver and the legs were black so I spray painted. I did sand it but not very much lol. The color is starlessnight by behr. And to everyone saying they like the wood more-lucky you your wouldn’t have to take the time to paint it! Thanks to everyone saying they like it!! handles ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS9NU0O?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

Sold! I can't wait to laugh my ass off.
For those that are looking for these several places carried them.
Michaels, Grandin Road, At Home & there's even ones on Amazon in "advanced" positions. Amazon also has the original 4.
Pink tags were half off yesterday. :) For an original, professionally matted painting... I'm thrilled! A great addition to my gallery wall.
George Sperl is a self-taught artist who ended up in Indiana. I found out a little more information about him in this thread on Ancestry... George did apparently pass away in 2014 at the ripe old age of 95. From his obituary:
>A self-taught watercolor artist, George was happiest in his art studio, painting Indiana Dunes and farm scenes reminiscent of days gone by, airplanes, and steam trains that continue to be admired nationally and far beyond.
I got this off a neighborhood resale/posting website. He posted it 40 mins prior to me messaging him and I got it first. He told me when we picked it up that 6 people had messaged him about it after I had. :) I'll be using it to store my paints since I don't drink. Pic of the art on the inside. I found it on Amazon and it's worth $149.99.
Pro-tip: don't let grease dripping from the head scare you off if you find one of these. I've gotten a handful over the last few years, all under $20, mostly because they leak or make a lot of racket. Most of the time, it's only a matter of cleaning out the old grease and packing it with new grease. And don't waste your money on a cute little 4 oz tub of "specialty Kitchenaid mixer grease"... Super Lube is a great product for this purpose, and it's a fraction of the cost.
Also for the lazy... a teapot this size really won't hold much coffee.
Once you take out the filter & grounds, you'll have closer to 1qt of brewed coffee - that's about 3 mornings worth for me.
You also have to take into account that it requires brew time, which means you'll have to brew the next batch at the same time you're drinking the 3rd and final serving.
Small batches like this are fine if you only occasionally drink coffee, but it turns into a PITA if you have to clean out the filter and brew a new batch every couple days (half the reason I quit drinking regular drip is because of the daily process of cleaning & brewing).
I personally use this type of container, and these large reusable tea bags to brew about 25 cups at a time, every couple weeks (cold brew doesn't go stale like regular brew).
It's made my mornings WAAAAY easier, and I've never looked back.
I’ve got one like that. Be sure to get a cleaning brush set, as the straw can get very grimey inside (even if you only drink water).
This isn't the official Nintendo Pro Controller, this is the HoriPad which retails for bout $16
Update: There were about 30 more cards behind some of the cards in the album. So that was a bonus. Half of them were "energy" cards. The rest were Japanese and english cards. Only a few doubles they seemed more like alternate versions or something.
Here are some of the Japanese cards
>Accomodating Brocolli in the Cemetary is at once a celebration of spelling and a solace to anyone who has ever struggled with the arcane rules of the English language. As amusing as he is informative, Vivian Cook thrills the reader with more than a hundred entries -- from photographs of hilariously misspelled signs to quizzes best taken in private to schadenfreude-rich examples of spelling errors of literary greats -- that will tickle the inner spelling geek in every reader. It all adds up to a gem of a book that takes a wry look at the hodgepodge evolution of spelling and the eccentric way it actually works.
I hope you grabbed it!
It’s a pretty old dresser made of teak I believe so there was also this hooded top on it that I removed before taking the photo. Both the hooded top and drawers were attached with a lovely amount of old short nails. So we just removed all of the nails! They were short enough that it didn’t go through the wood all the way so there aren’t any holes around it. Then we just did a quick hand sand to get any roughness away!
I had dreams of putting some type of top on the drawers to make it into a coffee table but decided to pass the project on to someone else and got rid of it when we moved.
Edit: purchases the metal hairpin legs off of Amazon!

While it's awesome to find one that's been around a while, you can get new ones for $20 or less. I'd been finding broken (squished) ones in the thrift shops and finally broke down and bought one for my drawing pencils. So satisfying!
For next year's gift - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij9JMjCb1-o
This was actually my idea for my own Grandmother's odd gift that we give her every year. It was perfect especially since she has a psycho cat - and I say that as a proud cat loving guy who can name 7 different cat celebs.
It is a Panasonic RC-6530. It is mentioned in a magazine from 1970, and it sounds amazing (someone preset it to an oldies radio station).
I also found a Canon AE-1 for $50, but it was pretty dirty and it didn't look like the previous owner took good care of it.
Shades of my youth-so awesome! You totally need some slouchy ankle boots like these and textured tights to finish your look.
Here it is on Amazon.
your cost numbers are a bit inflated. these can be ordered on amazon prime for around $300: https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KSM150PSWH-Artisan-Pouring-Shield/dp/B00KLLDGXG?th=1
i wasn't criticizing where you bought it, just saying i felt like $100 was a high price for a thrift store.
So this is from Amazon, cause I have the exact same shirt! I love it. Sadly not $7.99, but not too expensive! (Sorry I am too lazy to look up formatting on my phone).

Well, I struggle to believe it, but this table is on Amazon for $835, but it looks like you can find it for around $475 if you shop around.
Those aren't even the same shoes and some comments even mention they must be knockoffs because of the quality.
Seriously though just let OP enjoy their find. Not everything has to be 90%+ off retail to be a good deal! These are what OP found.
Not that I would ever pay it, but I get the price. You spend $90 on a clock like that and you might have it in your home for years, maybe forever. It's a really cool clock.
Edit: I looked the clock up on Amazon, and the same company has a ton of really dope dragon things on there. I mean, how cool is this? And this shit is right out of Skyrim!
Not sure if it’s handmade or amazon /
Wish I would say they were thrifted, but it was just our future overlord Amazon. Only 40$ which is pretty decent.

Got one of these at GW myself for $13 a long time ago. I took it apart and replaced all the gaskets (around 10 hours of work). It's been my daily fix for about a year now.
You might have to change the group head gasket. If you put the portafilter in it and it goes beyond that circle alignment mark then the gasket is probably worn.
Also one of your biggest enemies is if one of the two boilers is leaking. The older models had a black EPDM gasket. Later they upgraded them to these red high temp gaskets. There is one screw on the back if you take that off then take the screws off the top you can look down at the boilers and see if they're leaking anywhere. Mine was leaking super badly from the frothing boiler and I could see the stain on the bottom plate.
Feel free to PM me if you have some tech questions about this. If your thermostat is bad though I can't help you there.
edit: Sorry to burst your bubble but they're probably closer to $750 now new for a red one on Amazon.
Still a great deal though. Although I bring it up because I think a used one might be around $300 on eBay. I mention it because you seem to need a drip tray, red flow overflow indicator, and chrome drip tray piece. That can probably run $50+. Then you need a portafilter, gasket replacement, cup rail on the top... etc. So costs can add up quickly.

I don't think it was...though I obviously could be wrong, but I think that's a contemporary $100ish chair. Amazon sells one: https://www.amazon.com/Roundhill-Furniture-Contemporary-Tufted-Swivel/dp/B00QMK1SAS/
The locking mechanism on the stem where it connects to the base is a bit of a give away that it's a contemporary chair (vs, the more typical one-piece tulip bases of the past).
(In any case, $15 is still a great price for it)
No reservations at all.
If I look at 100 nice purses and buy one to flip there will still be 99 nice purses. If a nonflipper wants that purse they should get there before me. I shop the secondary market and have for years - I keep most of what I buy. The only retail clothing I buy is underwear and socks because that is my level of squeamishness for used clothes. I have a lot of knowledge and a lot of curiosity - I'm always learning. This site is a great place to learn.
1. I am keeping things out of landfills.
2. I am giving money to whomever is selling the used goods.
3. I am giving used goods value, moving goods from those who don’t need them to someone who may be looking for that exact item.
4. I am helping to preserve items of financial and historic value that someone else might love and care for.
5. I am helping people find collectibles and useful items they need or want.
6. I am helping my own family financially and, by extension, the rest of socity by potentially reducing my need for public assistance.
7. I am fueling other industries related to resale products such as the USPS, eBay, auction services, etc. which in turn employ workers and boost the economy.
8. I have no debt because I spend less than I bring in and always have. Read "The Millionaire Next Door" or "The Tightwad Gazette". Don't buy them - get them from the library...
Also, Goodwill is a completely different animal than Salvation Army.
Looked up Arthur W. Kreinheder. He was the commissioner of public works in Buffalo, NY in 1915. Picture of him and info here.
That "Charles E. Hughes For President" is probably worth a bit of money.

I have this version in my collection from my grandfather. He was a professor who taught Joyce - Wake in particular - in this era.

I just found a link to it online- $40 on amazon!
This is another one that was sold recently in OH (not sure where you are but possibly local artist if you’re in the same area)
There’s the link for what I bought, came with good instructions that list everything out well. 👍
I used a grommet and eyelet kit! Specifically this one
I wish I had made a little tutorial but honestly, its easier than it looks! All I did was put masking tape over the edges I wanted the eyelets. I marked where I wanted them on the tape and used the tool in the kit to hammer the holes where I marked. Removed the tape them hammered in the eyelets! Then just lace it up however you like :)
Hahaha, same situation here. Every damn shirt I've looked at recently have all had stupid ass print on them. So many school/company/etc crap out there, so many people give that stuff to thrift stores because no one wants to wear them. My city does this thing where they collect fabrics for recycling. Not totally sure what they reuse it for, but it's a great idea IMO. I'm pretty sure they resell the good stuff and grind up/recycle all the crap. I wish the thrift stores would do this with all the stupid ugly shirts they'll never sell because no one wants them.
However the shirt I'm wearing now is a very nice long sleeve synthetic Nike shirt. I absolutely love the older Nike synthetic fabric shirts which they have apparently stopped making. Instead they now only make it with thinner fabric which I don't understand. The only ones I am able to find are second hand, which I don't really mind since they're super cheap (they would be like $40+ new), the only problem is they're not easy to find. The one I'm wearing now is actually from their golf line and it was from some ritzy company golf outing, so there's a stupid embroidered patch on the arm. Doesn't really bother me though since it's a really nice fucking shirt.
Holy crap, I just found the turtle neck one I have, it's $87 on amazon!. I really hope I can find some more of them at a thrift store.
There are kits you can buy for testing precious metals. Found one on Amazon, though I haven't personally used this one. To test, you rub the metal onto the provided block and then apply the corresponding acid. The acid will eat away at other metals and show if it isn't gold or the indicated karat.
He’s super cool and those are hard to find ur supposed to hang them above your table and spin it they should have a piece on the back to attach string and whoever it lands on you make a wish that’s just what I have heard and know some people who have one but that actual one you have is sold on amazon for about 25.00 so that’s a good deal
Just checked on Amazon and it’s selling for around $299+ “LEGO Stone 4709 Hogwarts Castle Genuine Domestic and The Sorcerer's 4709 Harry Potter” link Looks like a fun set to put together:)

Old PCs are great with an OS like Ubuntu, or can be turned into a powerful router using something like PFsense. I have an old eMachines PC here in my house that runs PFSense which is used for a VPN client. (Essentially routing all traffic into it through Private Internet Access)
I use a chrome wire shelving unit on wheels, the type used in the food industry. It was something like $120 at Costco. The shelves are adjustable and the wire platforms provide excellent ventilation for all electronic devices.
The only two caveats are, your TV's size is limited to the 4-foot width of the shelves, and it kind of keeps you living like a college student.
But hey, rearranging your living room is a snap. I have the TV/disc player/Roku/game console/stereo/modem/router wired together so that I only have 1 electrical cord and 1 coax cable running to the wall. For movie night, I roll the entertainment center 2 feet closer to the couch. For watching TV alone, I tilt the entire entertainment center so it's facing me while at my workstation.
Good find! If you type "abe" into google, the first result is http://www.abebooks.com/ which is a collection of thousands of booksellers. You can look for your new old books there and see what current values are.
So I did a reverse image search and found this ..,
It has photos of ad dated to 1948
Thank you! I used a grommet and eyelet kit, honestly super easy to do but they look really professional! I used this one from amazon that has easy to follow instructions
Just make sure to plan carefully where you want your eyelets beforehand! Best of luck! X
It's a joke...
I always thought they were really funny. Because yes. Give me a guy who'll voluntarily vacuum and I'm pretty damn happy :)
It's that one but I'm not sure if I got it from that amazon seller or someone else. I think it was on sale at the time. I'm not sure if we'd get it again because it gets dirty pretty quickly and we have to use a carpet cleaner like every other month.
I actually found it on Amazon! : https://www.amazon.com/Instrument-Crime-T-Shirt-Catfish-Prank/dp/B07P9JSTD4
Apparently it's a shirt for a Nashville hockey team. A found a little snippet from NPR about it, but there are also quite a few articles from local sources: https://www.npr.org/2017/05/31/530843616/when-a-catfish-is-an-instrument-of-crime#:~:text=When%20A%20Catfish%20Is%20An%20'Instrument%20Of%20Crime'%20A%20Nashville,of%20crime%20and%20disorderly%20conduct.
That is a pretty nice find OP.
If you want to make it a little more efficient, find some heat resistant gasket (like this on amazon) and use it to seal around the lid. If I remember correctly, these grills are known for having small air gaps between the lid and body.
Just in time for 4th of July too, happy BBQing OP
Amazon sells the stuff they use in bowling alleys for shoes or something similar. I used it for a pair of boots that I couldn't pass up. I'd imagine, too, that sandals (if they're open enough) would be a little bit safer at least with regard to athlete's foot than something enclosed.
Found this at Value Village! It goes for $330 on Amazon. I've made one loaf so far, and it turned out well- it rose a bit too much and so the top is slightly underbaked, but I suspect that's because Canadian flour has more gluten than American flour, and some recipe tweaking should fix this.
Bonus bread loaf picture here! :D
I believe the knives were purchased from amazon. The Prix ii looks virtually identical.

You need to get yourself some leather conditioner for those ASAP. Looks like the area near the toe where it folds when you walk is getting fatigue cracks.
Spend 10 of the dollars you saved by getting them so cheap on some Wonder Basalm on Amazon.
I don't think this thing is used the way we assume. According to the Amazon listing, it's a UNISEX design intended for men, women & children?
If anyone is interested, just use a tile drill bit, pour some water over it when you are drilling, and don’t apply to much pressure. The china takes longer to drill than the stoneware and coffee cup material.

My parent's had a TV just like that, but it had a green spot in the center. They contacted Sony, even though it was out of warranty, and they offered them a brand new 46" HD LCD TV for $199 as a replacement. You can read more at the link below.
It's a real pain in the ass to figure out, take a look at this page:
What it boils down to, for a lot of books, is on the copyright page, if there is a 1 in the list of numbers it's a first printing. If it goes 1 2 3 4, there are 4 printings intended and this is number 1. If it say 3 4, there are 4 printings intended, and this is number 3. But it's not a hard and fast rule.
Anyways, something to look in to.
The free ebook management program Calibre should bypass this issue. You can also use it to make the thousands of free ebooks online like at Project Gutenberg transferable to the kindle if they aren't in kindles readable format when you download them. https://calibre-ebook.com/
I found the widgets here: https://archive.org/details/Widgets_201311 by clicking on either https or torrent on the left. Then downloaded this: http://weihs.org/chumby/WidgetsOnAStick.zip, and extracted those files to a thumbdrive. Then replaced the example widgets with the ones I wanted and now I at least have a few more working widgets. I haven't tested them all. Really wish there was a Reddit, slickdeals, droid-life, xda, and various other widgets though..anyway, it works! Good luck!! :-)
This one isn't exactly the same, but it looks like it will bring a pretty penny. I would wait until October or so, everything sells better close to Christmas.
That didn't sell. Looks like it is worth $70-100, but actually selling it may be difficult. Based on the Amazon sales rank a copy sells approximately every couple of months.
It's a 2gb drive. The NASA collection is about 6gb total including a bunch of duplicates in different sizes. I used VisiPics to remove most of the duplicates. Then I used Image Resizer for Windows Explorer Shell Extension to resize them all to 800x600 resolution. All together the 7k pictures take up about 600mb.

Love it, but I'mma be a debbie downer for a hot second---did you treat it with anything before bringing it inside? Bugs (bedbugs, roaches etc) will absolutely hang out in that kind of material.
I'm a REALLY big fan of SteriFab, which is technically for upholstery but would work for this, too. My dad used to be the manager of a furniture store warehouse, and when furniture got repossesed, that's what they would use to treat it before putting it in the 2nd hand sale room.
I used sterifab on everything I bought second hand when I was living in DC b/c there was kind of a bad bedbug problem going around, and we never got them :)
Thank you! It was an impulse birthday present to myself when I saw it on sale.
I wish it was thrifted, but I bought it online.
I've got mine from Amazon
$5 on Amazon for a brand new print. This one is framed but definitely ripped on the edges. I think it's pretty easy to fool people into thinking they're getting a good deal when something is relatively cheap. I see a lot of posts on here that are like $5-$10 for something like an old shirt that would likely be something like 50cents to $1 at a Goodwill.
I also know people suck at making deals and are too scared to haggle for certain things. I know people hate lowballers, but that doesn't mean you should never ask for a better price. I've successfully offered half the asking price multiple times for stuff, you can't be afraid to ask.
Thank you! I actually just found the set on amazon! amazon link I'm excited to start using. The markers in the set are still fresh too. Looks like it was barely used.
I opened it up and someone else was eyeing it up and asked if I was going to buy it lol
Available on amazon. Some questions (there are 201 Q's total) include:
It stands for powdered brewing wash. It's commonly used in commercial brewing applications. You mix an ounce or two per gallon depending on the level of soil.
$28.66 for 4 lbs on Amazon
But you could probably get it cheaper if you have a local brewing supply. Oxi-clean probably works great too, but I have this around for brewing.
> pass the pigs!
My version is selling for 124.00 on Amazon. LOL. I'm pretty sure we tossed it years ago though.
Amazon sells 5 & 10 packs of replacement halogen bulbs for around $10 if it ever needs a replacement bulb.
The brand is fresherAcc & I found the exact same one on amazon, just click on the link (:
Cool find! Amazon sells a version as well: Pair of You Turn My Hardware Into Software Programmers 15 oz Ceramic Coffee Mugs by Quick Mugs 2 U https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012PSJX6Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_96L4BbXQK5BWK
You can get them on Amazon! I got them on sale for $30-40 thanks to /r/frugalmalefashion
A lot of the dresses I see on here are also on Amazon. Often times the sizes are way off so I'm guessing people buy it, find it's the wrong size, and do ate it instead of sending it back.
Nice score! On amazon they got similar new for $75 bucks.
Having a hard time finding the exact one, but it’s this brand
Yepp, saved you some bucks
This isn't the same brand as the one I have, but it looks identical. If you search "leather canvas messenger bag" on Amazon, there are a bunch that look exactly like this from $20 to $90. They're probably all made in the same factory and then different brands buy them for reselling. Mine is from "Vaschy" and is now $50 for some reason. Quality is pretty good although one of the magnetic buckles fell off and got lost. The company was nice enough to mail me a few for free though, so now I have some backups!
