It doesn't even have to be an expensive smartwatch.
Just buy a MiBand, I can guarantee it will be a worthwhile purchase, gives you notifications, tracks your sleep, alarm, counts your steps and is also waterproof
Many activity trackers have vibrating alarms. That works very well with me and my SO.
This one is decent and relatively cheap: http://www.mi.com/en/miband. You can get them here (compatible with iOS and android):
Nah man, this Xiaomi Mi Band for $15 is the real reason to short $FIT. It used to be $13 shipped but looks like they've been selling out so increased the price. It lasts 30 days without charging and tracks sleep / steps and vibrate / lights up when phone rings or notification.
Have you tried a "fitness band" to track your sleep?
Last week I got a Xiaomi 1S that automatically determines your sleep cycle. The 1S has a heart rate monitor in it that makes is more accurate at guessing your sleep cycles than the other models... It's also only $20. Before this, I was using an app that requires you to leave your phone on your bed to detect movement. This worked OK, but was wildly inaccurate when my wife was also in bed.
I would send them the link to the Xiaomi Mi Band website and point out that they are referencing photography for a product that does not match what they're selling.
They're selling this crap because they probably have a surplus and get them at about $6-7 a piece, whereas an genuine Mi Band would run a few dollars higher for wholesalers.
I got one of these off AliExpress as my starter and it works like a charm. It's not super fancy, but it's cheap if you're just looking to see how many steps you do and how your sleep is!
That's nice! I do suppose it's worthy to note that they didn't get the IP68 rating, which shows that it couldn't survive in a lab environment. There are in fact nearly 300 openings on the device:
> Meticulously made in a 12-step process
> The 1mm thick aluminum alloy sensor surface is manufactured using a 12-step process. Compression molding, polishing and sandblasting give the metal sensor a smooth texture, while CNC milling adds shine to its edges. Three indicator lights, each 1 mm in diameter, are created using micro-laser perforation technology. Made up of 91 holes, each 0.02 mm across, each indicator is injected with UV adhesives to prevent dust from penetrating the device.
I guess it's true that it's cheap enough to replace, but there's a chance they pull this off the market in order to sell their overpriced successor Amazfit, which – sadly for me – solely targets women. Also has ⅓rd of the battery life. And only one color LED: white (just like the MiBand v1.1).
Ninja: Also… While it's cheap, having to buy new ones does build up the cost. For its price it's great, but if the price rises because you have to buy a new one quickly, it stops being 'fit for the price'.
I got a Xiaomi Mi Band and it does everything I need it to. Tracks steps and sleep as well as a FitBit and only costs $20. You can connect it to any somewhat up-to-date phone with bluetooth 4.0 and can be connected to other fitness apps. Xiaomi's companion app is really nice too. http://www.mi.com/en/miband/#02
the display is a moot point, it's about physical size/shape and the 1 matches the go-tcha perfectly. i bought a band for the 1 after reading reviews saying the 2 bands didn't fit properly, and my go-tcha is sat snuggly inside it as I spe.. er type.
hit specs on both those pages and compare sizes/shape, notice how the 2s recessed screen sits flush with the top of it's band but the 1 sits proud with a recess under its 'screen' which is exactly the same as the go-tcha along with physical size.
Xiaomi Mi Band 1S - I own it for 2 months and I can't believe this small thing can wake me up after a few hours of sleep. It's really cheap (original bought from from GearBeast cost me ~17.5 USD. It also measures your sleep (statistics with fall asleep times and wake up times). You can find more info on the Xiaomi website.

You can get it on Amazon, or from other sellers from overseas.
They have a new one that has a heart rate monitor as well: http://www.gearbest.com/smart-wristband/pp_263275.html
The Xiaomi Mi Band is far and away the best budget fitness watch currently available.

Only $15.
Allegedly a new model will be coming out soon, but this time with an additional heart rate monitor. Will still likely be best in class for people on a budget.
