Newton kind of does what you’re wanting but not to the degree Inbox does. It currently filters out social emails and newsletters to specific folders. It’s very fast and you can use Gmail shortcuts.
I am a bit on the same boat. I also tried the beta on iOS to help raising issues .. but.. Nothing (surprised?)
I am back on Mail - but feel very harsh after airmail tbh. (But it’s reliable and it does work all the time)
I am looking at Newton as alternative https://newtonhq.com/
I did not jump just yet. Still reading some experience feedbacks.
Let us know your finding!
It had "Superchargers" that "super" "charged" your email.
They were recently purchased and revived. You can check it out here. Essentially its everything Superhuman is offering except Newton is on all platforms and costs (relatively) less.
Ive started using Spark, which some people hate for privacy reasons, but its been good for me. I imagine that people who LIVE out of their email inbox all day long would be willing to pay to relieve that pain point. It's why I bought Newton once upon a time, but I've since left that job. Email can be exhausting.
The best e-mail app ever for Mac, iPhone and Android has been relaunched since they were acquired by essential.
If you are a high volume e-mail user the subscription is well worth it. Best search and "smart inbox" in the industry + a myriad of other features.
Well you are in luck, Newton just relaunched and it is one of the best email clients you can find, especially if you access email over multiple devices.
You can give it a free try, nothing to lose, might gain something. It is quite expensive though but if you are a heavy mail user it worth the money.
Is it $50? Their site says $9.99/mo.
I hear nothing but great things about the app. Personally, I don't see the need to spend that kind of money for features I won't use. I've turned off the "recap" feature in GMail, don't use read receipts, already have Todoist connected to Gmail, don't use snooze (but could in Inbox), and don't use send later.
But there you go, that's what you get! :)
I don't know of any open source options for iOS. It appears as though Newton is the best option privacy-wise, but it is quite expensive because of it. Airmail seems like a fairly solid option and only costs a one time fee for the apps. I can't find any information on how solid they are privacy wise though.
Newton is very clear on their privacy. https://newtonhq.com/k/privacypolicy Unfortunatley, most companies who don't charge to use their service are most likely in the business of selling your data. I've been using Newton for two years now and haven't had any problems. Because of this, I don't have a problem paying yearly for their service :)
Thanks for replying!
Have you guys look at Newton mail ? They have a very fast and great easy to use platform.
What I'm asking for it's a premium feeling to it. End to end encryption with a premium future for professional use, and enterprise customers - can't be better than that!
Keep it up guys! Looking forward to see the progress.
