Expected something really cool and sophisticated but instead found just a blacklist based approach... sigh
If you wanna keep playing the mouse-and-cat game you should use keep using this extension, i highly recommend NoScript + uBlock Origin + AAK-Cont Filter For uBlock Origin as the safest way to mitigate this coin miners (unfortunately NoScript is only available for Firefox but uBlock Origin + uBlock Protector should suffice for Chrome users).
Genuine tip, lots of those sites use your computer to mine bitcoin. If you download a browser extension like No Coin, the videos load a lot faster. Can't verify it for every site, but when it works, it works.
This is why you run something like NoCoin.
This kind of stuff is becoming more and more common everywhere and, honestly, while some might argue that this is a better option for monetization than ads, I don't agree.
The processing power of my machine is mine, it's using electricity that I pay for and I really don't enjoy it being used without my content.
Running something like SETI@Home, Einstein@Home, etc THAT I CHOSE is alright, because I'm choosing to run it. Same for mining, if I'm choosing to run it myself.
However, forcing my computer to mine stuff behind my back, potentially endangering the hardware I paid for is a no-go.
Ironically, illegal (private) torrent trackers are implementing this, but are doing it in the best way possible: you have to enable it. It's not on by default and you have to explicitly allow the website to mine while you visit it.
Aside from them, I have never encountered an implementation of this system that I agree with.
The No Coin extension is still available for Firefox and Opera. I don't know why Chrome removed it.
I never downloaded the extension, but I am using the No Coin filter list in uBlock Origin.

On its own, I do not think it's fraudulent or malicious since it mines only for the duration that which you are on the website, i.e. someone else's property- but it has very high potential for misuse, and it's incredibly easy to. Those abuses (javascript mining on sites) won't give it a good name, not for a long time.
It does, but it's just the main cryto site the script is calling back home to, you can even just manually add some of the filters from the NoCoin to Ublock Origin via cross checking.
