Yup! In Chrome I believe it's called Custom Search Engine and works very similar to how it does in Firefox. In this case, it would be a lot easier to just set that up then to download an extension. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/create-custom-search-engines-google-chrome/.
You can check out Flamory, it saves selection, position on the page and a screenshot - all at the same time.
Personally, I stopped tagging my bookmarks long time ago, because this tool can search by the whole content of bookmarked page. Every word from a page is now a tag :)
It works only on windows, though, as it integrates with the desktop applications.
Java is only for building the extension though right? I just installed the extension from the github page and it seemed to work ok. https://github.com/YePpHa/YouTubeCenter/wiki#chrome--opera-15-extension
Floating For Youtube, works decently, my only complaint is that it won't auto play another video when the current video is done. I like to have a little video in the corner while I work, it's a bit inconvenient to go back and forth.

Have you tried Aurora: New Tab & Bookmark Manager?. There's an option to integrate to-do list apps such as Google Keep
I don't remember seeing any that charged for bookmarks alone, that's normally free but extra things like full text search, saving content of pages things like that are usually premium features for example the one I can remember the name of off hand https://raindrop.io/pro/buy
I would do what /u/Becer suggested first, but failing that you could export the URLs from the SQlite database that OneTab stores everything in. On Windows this is located here:
> "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Storage\chrome-extension_chphlpgkkbolifaimnlloiipkdnihall_0.localstorage"
Make a copy of this .localstorage file, open it with DB Browser for SQLite, click the Browse Data tab, in the State row double-click on (BLOB). After a few seconds another window will open. Select Text from the dropdown box (to the left of the Clear button), click the Export button and save the file somewhere.
The resulting text file looks like it is in JSON format, so if you just want the URLs you will need to find something that can extract those. e.g. grep + suitable regular expression.
PrintFriendly bookmarklet! Works across browsers & platforms. (For iPad-based eMails, I use AirMail's PDF feature and save to gDrive. It's doable in the native Mail app but more convoluted. Use Print command. When doc shows on screen, place finger & thumb on it, spread your fingers, then the resulting larger view shows a PDF command.) Allowed me to kick EverNote to the curb, permanently. . While I'm here, FYI: ExportNote.com has a $15 app (Win/Mac) -- batch export to PDF and retains structure. Detailed walk-through: google >> ExportNote DocumentSnap EverNote
You are right in this case.
But I would personally use an extension for this kind of situations. Have the extension's icon change color or something when there is a new post on that website.
IFTTT could be useful somehow, haven't tried it in years though.
There are tons of extensions that do this! Just search on the Chrome store for page difference notifications or website change detectors.
I use the visualping.io web service which is great and they also have an extension. It would likely cost you money to have it check the site constantly throughout the day though. Or apparently their extension allows you to leave a tab open and it constantly checks for free since it's just running in your own browser.
:/ My bad, then. So sometimes, when we google and stumble upon a solution in StackOverflow like this. So instead of copying the code, by dragging and selecting the code block, this extension provides a button to make it more convenient. All you need to do, is click the button and the code block is copied to your clipboard.
Edit: typos.
You will find this github discussion very interesting https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/discussions/670
This is a very common sales pitch by people who try and buy popular chrome extensions from devs. First they try to low-ball, then they will offer some kind of cut of the profits to sell your user's data.
> I didn't mean to insult you, but you are asking 10k for something that you already have on Chrome for free. I don't understand you. You are not making money out of that extension so why not sell it for any amount?!
Let's be clear. They want it because it's popular, or they predict it could become popular very soon. The value is not in the idea, it's that you have the user numbers. Those numbers are the intrinsic value. Perhaps you don't want to sell it because you value your user's privacy. Something you can't guarantee when you hand that data over to some rando third party. Or why would you hand your hard work over to someone who will then effortlessly make money from it? Of course they can copy, but once again, they don't have your existing community, so their copy is worthless.
We've just been featured on Product Hunt - currently at #8 of the front page! I would appreciate your support and feedback. https://www.producthunt.com/posts/webcheck-ai

Might want to check these out then https://www.producthunt.com/alternatives/onetab
I used to love Toby Tabs as they did really good job but then they decided to move their focus on something else and it's been so long since they've returned to update the extension that I've fallen out of love which is a shame.
Another one that might be worth to check out is Qlearly.
I know this is kinda sketchy, since its not on the Chrome Web Store, but Better Popup Blocker is the best I've used. It was pulled from the Web Store for some reason but still available if you google. The softpedia link above seems to work.
Old post, sorry, but if you're still having trouble with this you could try using a native programme, not an extension.
Self Control for mac allows you to block websites for the selected length of time (up to 24 hours), even if you restart the computer or delete the app.
k9 for pc or mac looks highly configurable, its made to block specific porn sites, but also includes a custom blacklist, password override etc. The only thing it doesnt have which could be nice is time limits, like, only 30 mins on facebook per day or whatever.
both are free.
I did check this extension out, it has Box like collaboration features. Blackboard is intended for personal use, eg- Save important web snippets with personal explanations (and organise in folders within a library - coming soon. So yeah good features will be combined slowly in future releases!)
Also, incase you tried out Blackboard you would observe that you get to annotate (draw/write) over live webpages, post which you can take a full page screenshot containing your annotations. So essentially you are not redirected to a new tab in order to draw, but get to live annotate webpages and take the full capture.
The extensions in this genre that I observed so far in chrome web store in its core either:
In Blackboard the idea was to combine best of both worlds, annotate live without switching to a new tab and be able to capture full page screenshot containing your annotations. So that you get the feel of being in a webpage and not an image. I guess that does combine some good features :)
And coming to applications that capture all the good functionalities, suggest you check out the hands-down OG full page screenshot + web annotator -> https://gofullpage.com/ It falls into the 2nd type and implements all important annotation features, and does it right!
this one search for words in tabs you already opened, not what I'm looking but thanks anyways.
anyways I found the one I was using in some old repositories if anyone else is looking for the same extension I will leave the link below

AdNauseam. Deflects tracking and the collecting of "shadow data" on you by silentlt clicking every ad on a web page while hiding it all from you. Unfortunately, it slows browsing too much for my taste (and machine's prowess).
The No Coin extension is still available for Firefox and Opera. I don't know why Chrome removed it.
I never downloaded the extension, but I am using the No Coin filter list in uBlock Origin.
Just so you know, Workona lets you save and collect all of those things (images, URLs, video, etc.) if they’re in a browser tab, cloud app, Google Drive, or on your computer. If you have the Workona tab manager extension, you can click the button in your browser bar or use the keyboard shortcut Opt + D (or Alt + D) to instantly save anything in the cloud. If you don’t have the extension, you can add resources right in a workspace (instructions here). That's also where you can upload files from your computer. Hope that helps!
Visual Bookmarking App, support for list or section driven layouts.
Drag and drop between sections or change order.
Instant full text indexing search
Speed Dial
and a lot of other features
Hope you guys enjoy it.
Give Clipd.io a try
The data loss problem will always be there unless the extension does some sort of syncing to a secure server. Clipd is not a tab manager, it's a visual bookmarks manager, therefore all the content is stored server side. This makes it possible to access your bookmarks on all your devices including mobile/tablets etc.
Clipd has multiple view modes, and support a densely packed list view mode.
Clipd supports drag and drop to change the order.
Instant search etc
I don't know. I've been pretty disappointed with OneTab. They've wiped my saved tabs on Firefox a couple of times now and I'm still waiting for this stupid update that they have been "working" on since March.
document.addEventListener("mousemove", function(e){ e.stopImmediatePropagation(); }, true); Hi, if you put this in a userscript (check out Tampermonkey) it should prevent the website from detecting your mouse movement
There's a great guide for continously deploying extensions here: https://circleci.com/blog/continuously-deploy-a-chrome-extension/
You can find the deployment endpoint under publishing. You'll also need to open the api on your Google dev account and fetch some tokens - the article goes through all of these.
Good luck.
