It has a lot of built in functionality that saves me time. It has an easy build process for SPA, SSR, Electron and some others. On top of that it also has a lot of useful components that save me a lot of time.
For example, I have an icon manager app (https://norde.io) that builds to Electron, there is almost no difference in building that vs this Baseline SPA app, which is incredibly nice. The main difference is just a build command.
My main pet peeve with it is that it's very Material Design oriented, and I'm not the biggest fan of Material Design, but I just make it work anyway.
Haha no worries about sending me on a goose chase, I want to make sure things work on linux as well since I always feel like it gets left behind. I even made a linux version of my Icon manager app, https://norde.io unfortunately sometimes linux can be hard to support since tools you need to use don't support it. For example there are no automatic updates for Norde because of issues like that. I think I have linux running on a VM, I'm gonna spin it up and see if I can find the issue.
Hi guys,
I just realized that in february last year I shared my icon manger for the first time here in r/webdev, so I thought I'd share it again to celebrate it. It has come along way since then thanks to all the awesome feedback I got. You can download it for free at https://norde.io — It even has a linux version now.
Appreciate the love! It was harder than I expected, I already had a lot of the code required on hand from my other project (https://norde.io) so I thought I would be able to pump out a prototype for this in a short time. However it did end up taking quite a while, I didn't record the hours but I'd estimate several hundred hours.
The main aspects are all javascript, like color parsing, SVG parsing, code generation and things like that. On the backend, Django mainly handles accounts and subscriptions.
You mean a free tier with more “powered by baseline” kinda advertisements?
I’ve just started using Paddle with this project so I don’t have much experience with it yet. But so far so good, I think it costs around 5% plus VAT, if there is VAT. I already use Gumroad for my Electron app (https://norde.io) but chose Paddle for this because I felt that it’s better for subscriptions. There was also another reason but I can’t remember it at the moment. I’ll ping you if I do remember it, haha :)
Oh and as an example of this future vision, you can take a look at my icon manager, https://norde.io/, where you can apply your brand easily to icon sets. The technology is pretty much the same except this will take it a step further, with more automatic magic, and applied to a lot more things than just icons.
Hey guys, I'm back to my favorite subreddit for another Showoff Saturday. Dark mode is not yet available in Norde source but it's coming very soon. I've decided to make it a part of a pro license that will give some extra features to power users and help fund further development.
I've loved all the positive feedback I've gotten from you guys so far, head to https://norde.io if you want to check out the app.
Hi guys, I made this app to make it super easy to color and manage your SVG icon sets. Go to https://norde.io if you want to check it out. I'd love to get some feedback and improvement suggestions!
Yes and yes!
It supports pretty much endless number of colors, except gradients (for now). If you go to https://norde.io you can see an example of multi-color editing in the first "Feature". Or just download it and try it out yourself :)
I've released a desktop app built with Quasar and it has been a pleasure to use. It's easy to style and remove the material look with very little effort. You can see a screenshot of the app here: https://norde.io
Hi u/Natetronn,
There was a bug on linux causing that, it has been fixed now but you have to manually download the latest version from https://norde.io. I haven't been able to get auto update working for linux yet due to another bug but hopefully soon it will just auto update like it does on mac and windows.
Regarding the colors, it detects all the different colors in the icon set and allows you to edit them in one place for the whole set. If your icon set only has one color then it will only show one color.
Let me know if update works and if you have any more questions.
Ok I looked into the issue with not being able select the search and icon size, it was a bug due to the UI changes I recently did. Basically I had to remove the ability to drag the window around by clicking that area in the middle. No big deal, now it's fixed in the latest version, 0.2.35. I think you will have to redownload from https://norde.io since I haven't been able to get auto update to work on linux. Although I'd love to be wrong on that one so you can let me know if it does auto update.
Hi everyone,
I made this free icon manager that is capable of editing multiple colors at once in seconds, along with other expected features like resizing and organizing. You can then drag and drop or export to the file type of your choice.
Check it out at https://norde.io
Hi everybody,
I thought this might be useful to some of you in r/designassets It's an icon manager that can edit multiple-colors for entire SVG icon sets at once, or simple illustrations, along with other common features like dragging and dropping over to design tools and such. I'd appreciate it if you guys could try it out and give me some feedback.
Download it at https://norde.io
Hi Everybody,
I was told you might be interested in this by some folks over at r/webdev

Hey u/moondoginyoureyes there is now a windows and linux version available. I'd love it if you could give it a quick spin and test it since I've only been able to test it in a virtual machine so far. https://norde.io/
