Yet piracy will not stop, these kinds of laws only make it harder for people legally trying to get content. With services such as Oneswarm those private bittorrent sites will just get even more private.
Lots of us have probably saved some material in the knowledge that it would likely be gone for good. I'd love if we could find some way to gather and share it with each other .. Perhaps a private P2P service of some kind?

OneSwarm works kind of the same way but I think you do not even need to trust all your "friends" and can add a server that gives you a bunch right away. Also it uses torrent techniques and downloads from multiple sources/routes.
I want to add that OneSwarm is another highly useable cross-platform client (runs on Java) with some extra experimental privacy features on top of the normal bittorrent protocol. Unfortunately it lacks some of the sexy chocolate coating that makes other torrent clients so useful, like no RSS downloading, etc.
