Your best options are:
Apple used a screenshot from an app called Polarr. Polarr used (with my permission) that image in their app. Which means Apple didn't really picked my image directly :) If they had, they would have written me.
Interestingly, you can actually read RAW in the browser. Polarr is one service that does it.
Not practical to embed on every page but it is doable these days which I think is cool.
For those looking for a straight-forward Lightroom alternative, I've been enjoying using Polarr (the website is bloody horrible to use though).
Don't be put off by the 'Online Photo Editor' part – it uses WebGL for the image processing, so it's quite responsive. Additionally it is available as a 'native' app on all major platforms, presumably as an Electron app or something. I'm not sure the filters are anything to write home about, but you can save presets of all of your adjustments. Mask layers are also supported which is nice.
Photoshop doesn't require as much as resources as you might think. Probably only your graphic card matters. Otherwise you can try https://www.polarr.co/ for photo editing which requires even less graphic card resource.
Polarr is my goto tool for foto editing on ChromeOS, it's wonderful. It should be great for editing 2D sprites.

That's true to some extent, but PWAs are getting more and more native-like, up to the point where it won't matter for most apps.
Also, there are plenty of ways to make proper crossplatform native WinRT/UWP apps now. Look at Polarr Photo Editor, for example. You wouldn't guess that it has a web version, that's almost the same. https://www.polarr.co/editor/0
Adobe is also using crossplatform methods for its native UWP stuff, and is also working on web versions from the same code base.
Doesn't OneNote also not use React Native?
I really recommend Polarr. It's like 20 bucks and has many of features of Lightroom and a few of the most useful parts of photoshop (clone tool, warping). Main issue is that its photo management tools aren't great, but that's fixed if you use photos on a Mac cuz u can access it as an extension.
It's just the image size you need to change, the website you like has sized their images at 1200x800px whereas yours are 1200x1200 which is why they look a lot bigger on screen.
Somehting like http://www.picmonkey.com/ or https://www.polarr.co/ will let you resize to exact dimensions.
It's also worth noting that the Antio site uses a parallax effect on it's main image so it may be worth going a little shorter than 800 high for you too
i have been in the exact same situation as you, and i think everybody has. dude its all about the settings and the weather conditions. it's best if you take pictures when it's new moon, or close to new moon. also play with the settings and take a lot of pictures. have it at the lowest f/ number. bump the ISO up to like 2000 or even higher (it will result in more noise though) just play with it and have fun. and properly one of the most important things there are.... get away from the city and light pollution. it's really annoying when you shoot a picture and then realise that the picture is blown out or totally orange. that is my tips :D. the camera is okay, but if you get more serious about it buy another lens with a lower f/ number, such as 1.4 - 2.4. There are Samyang or rokinon lenses which a lot of people use, and they are pretty cheap, but also a lot of them are manual. software that i use is Photoshop, but lightroom is better. there are also the free software called "Polarr" which i used for a long time. i will drop a link for it. i wish you the best of luck in the future, and have fun with it. https://www.polarr.co/
