It’s a gaming focused solution but I found that Rainway actually works great, probably because, as mentioned, it’s gaming focused. It lets you load up your game library but also just allows you to jump into a remote desktop. It’s the only solution I’ve used that can decently handle video playback practically realtime.
You could also keep an eye on Rainway. Rainway has heavily neutered their website in the past year or so, but they originally made claims of releasing their program for all consoles so you could run PC games from any device. Not sure what happened, as the video demonstrating Rainway is now unlisted. It's possible they've scrapped the idea and delisted this video to hide their shame.
You’re basically looking for a library style format of all your installed games..you can also just use steam remote play..all non steam games you have just add them into the your desktop as a non steam game..
You can actually access gfns desktop through some scripts but they try to block that
Check out rainway, it's connection is meant to prioritize low latency streams for gaming. I've used it, it works pretty well depending on your internet connection. https://rainway.com/gaming
You could probably start an instance of rainway in something like aws, but I doubt that'll be economical compared to a cloud gaming marketed services. Getting a vm with a high end gpu is kinda expensive from what I understand.
I think cloud gaming services have an edge on price because they know their users will only be using their servers when they want to play games, so they probably expect to be able to spin down vms for longer
Oh damn, that's a shame. Can't think of any options other than buying a gaming PC and using Rainway or something similar to stream when you're not home then. Or, hell, even Steam Remote Play would work.
