They have been reorganizing the race groups since 6.3. Some races from Endurance Champions will go to Endurance Legends (IDK if I'm losing my 10 lap farming, as I don't have Endurance Legends unlocked yet).

version x.x is purely naming convention. Whether it goes from 7.1 to 7.2 or 7.1 to 7.1.5 they are treated the same. They could just as easily gone away from the decimal place and just done v8, v9, v10. The only difference between going from 7.1 to 7.2 and 7.1 to 7.1.5 is that a full number jump is a 7 week update, and half number jump has meant a 3 or 4 week update.
