Also, a roadmap without vision or intent will fail, it’s just a bunch of things to deliver and not a strategy. When this happens to my teams I revisit this framework: https://roadmunk.com/guides/product-prioritization-techniques-product-managers/
Haha, thanks stranger! I picked up this article as a new PM and loved it, albeit it's application is different in every company culture and may not apply directly to all. https://roadmunk.com/blog/shit-umbrella/ I'm not and never have been a dev but if you are working on a project and are your own doer and conceptualist, you'll need to be easy on yourself as you likely don't have any shit umbrellas protecting you from, well, you.
We use roadmunk for roadmaps, customer feedback management, and prioritization. Our sales and support team have accounts (free), so they can submit the feedback themselves. The feedback goes straight into a feedback inbox so you can review and promote it to the idea bucket if it makes sense. Once in the idea bucket, you can prioritize and then decide what makes it into the roadmap. Their system can be a bit slow sometimes, but it’s working great for us thus far.
This is a roadmap.

This is also a roadmap.
> The criteria for Step 2 was at least 65% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with declining case counts and COVID-19 hospitalizations. Step 2 went from June 15 to June 30.
> The criteria for Step 3 is at least 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and declining COVID-19 hospitalizations. In Step 3, all sectors will transition to using communicable disease prevention guidance from WorkSafeB
> The criteria for moving to Step 4 is more than 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and low COVID-19 hospitalizations. The earliest date we move to Step 4 is September 7.
Businesses can plan based on number and metrics.
Saying. In the future we may go without mask except for certain events. We may have more dining out etc is about as accurate as trump’s suggestion of COVID being gone by Easter. Well yes. He didn’t say which Easter, could be 5 -10 years later.
Here is what I've used in the past, paid services but something like roadmunk gives such a polished result you'll look like a super star its worth the price, everything I've ever done in PowerPoint or visio takes hours and if you try to move one item everything has to be resized

If you want to create and visualize project roadmap you could use Microsoft project (it's free) - and fill all tasks with expecting deadlines to see planning project duration.
A more interesting alternative to Microsoft project is Roadmunk https://roadmunk.com/ but you have to pay for this service.
And then based on this task created in Microsoft project you could create short term sprints in Trello for example.
In general like this:

The lane width indicates the team capacity in terms of how many simultaneous things can be worked on, and projects are queued over time.
Thank you, helpful for sure, I'm going to make something somewhere between that and this https://roadmunk.com/images/templates/screenshots/product-development-tl.svg
The project plan is too detailed for the people I have to communicate with this round.
Thank You!
