Why not setup rtorrent and the rutorrent webui? Its MUUUCCHH easier to use remotely, plus there's some kick ass automation tools. RSS and autodlirssi plus all of the other rutorrent plugins.
I'd assume not really a bug, but an inadvertent tinkering with the conf file:
https://www.reddit.com/r/seedboxes/comments/856zz6/rutorrent_v37_remove_and_delete_data_doesnt/
ls -alh
Is the output from that command in shell what you expect the owner of files to be?
There is a special setting in erasedata plugin conf.php (plugins/erasedata/conf.php) where you can re-enable the "Remove and Delete Data (All)" option. Be careful though, this option was largely disabled because it's very dangerous apparently.
I suppose you were referring to this issue. One of the comments mentioned you should disable the "hash check after completion" setting to avoid any issues with moving files.
Feel free to check other hints as well if you haven't already seen this issue before.
Install the corresponding module for Python (if you need this plugin). Or disable this plugin otherwise:
If you are using ruTorrent, then you can install/enable Screenshots Plugin to generate screenshots easily. Also, You need to make sure that ffmpeg is Installed on your seedbox.
ruTorrent is a GUI which will work with rTorrent. With that being said just use what you are comfortable with.
If you really want to seed thousands of files I would suggest installing your prefered client through a docker and sub dividing the files that way. I have several rTorrent dockers running and break them up vs TV/Movie/Sport.
Worth submitting an issue via GitHub. (Just be sure to triple-check everything is configured correctly first.)

This is probably an issue with the ruTorrent. Are you sure SCGI port is correct? 1. What is your ruTorrent version? 2. Try to enable error logging https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/Config#diagnostic and check if you can get something useful in the logs. You can alternatively check the PHP error log/web server error log. 3. You can try using unix socket instead of port.
Looks like your 2nd instance of ruTorrent is old and needs some update. Intersecting selection was introduced after this commit.
It's not typical in swizzin, it's a bug in ruTorrent.
The port checker website updated the method needed to grab the port status and broke previous implementations. The pull request to fix ruTorrent is here:

To get over this disadvantage, ruTorrent, during it's loading, checks if parameters upload_rate and download_rate are set to zero. If it is so, ruTorrent change "0" to a very_big_number.
Is 327625 the "very big number"?
There is a limitation in RUTorrent/RTorrent, or well, one of the plugins.

https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/PluginThrottle
Throttle is used by ratiogroups.
--
The Caveat reads:
Based on the pic you linked, presumably the torrent hit a ratio of 1.5 and was stopped but not deleted.
There are lots of glitches with certain values in the ratio group settings. That's one of them. See: https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/issues/1653
According to the ruTorrent Wiki this might be as easy as copying a few directories, namely the share/settings and ruTorrent/conf directories. (Assuming you have ruTorrent installed as well.)
> Use "Channels". Go to rutorrent settings, channels and set your max upload speed on any channel and then choose the torrents and right click and select channel.
Channels requires installing a plugin (not pre-installed by my host: https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/PluginThrottle
I'd prefer to configure directly in rTorrent, but will use ruToorent if this is not possible.
Post-mortem: with ruTorrent v3.9+ it is now possible to download multiple torrent files at once. PR: https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/pull/1796
If built-in functionality does not work for you, have a look at this script: https://github.com/hannsen/userscripts/pull/3
I think your problem is rutorrent is not listening on the socket.
https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/blob/master/conf/config.php#L37#L45
As its Wiki states you have to enclose your regex with //i so try this way:
/^(?=.*(Marvel\Ws\WAgents\Wof\WS.H.I.E.L.D.))^(?=.*1080p)/i
Thanks for your reply /u/desimaniac
I had a look at
https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/issues/1239
and got stuck at the GeoIP PHP extension bit.
You can get GUI front ends for RTorrent as I recall. Web UI's at least.
eg: https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent
But the main advantage is being able to run rtorrent on headless boxes that may not be your desktop. Say you want to have a seedbox in a non-US country or you've got a file server in a closet at home. That type of thing. Just SSH in and go and no need to have xForwarding or anything enabled.
> Only two plugins show in the plugin menu in ruTorrent, so that's where I was getting that number, but thanks for letting me know that there is more.
I would say that was a choice of the script author, I don't know how updated is the WiKi, anyway: https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki
Yes, have to set up Apache, a web server, and PHP.
The other choice is to install swizzin or quickbox, and then disable rtorrent. This might be easiest if you are uncomfortable at the command line.
You should be able to take a few screenshots wih rutorrent if you right click on the torrent and it's not rar'd.
See this screenshot under Media Info:
https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/images/PluginMediainfo/mediainfo1.png
If you have root access and use linux as your main driver you can mount the server in your linux filesystem with sshfs and use vlc or any other program to take the screenshots.
Yes, actually per here 0.9+ it should be:
execute2 = {sh,-c,/usr/bin/php /var/www/ruTorrent/php/initplugins.php tom &}
I did this - omitted user name (not sure it works but the file didn't give an error when executed manually):
execute2 = {sh,-c,/usr/bin/php7.2 /var/www/rutorrent/php/initplugins.php &}
EDIT: I should have read clearly. It does say to omit it if there isn't any:
webusername you may or may not be using web authentication, if you aren't, remove the username entirely, if you are, edit it accordingly
You can set up rsync on a cronjob, that's how I automated backups previously.
I prefer resilio over rsync currently.
If you're having to manually copy files to a resilio synced directory, you might be able to automate that process using ruTorrent using AutoTools. https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/PluginAutotools
Check out my automation process here: https://github.com/hjhart/seedboxio-docker-downloader
havent used rutorrent for a bit, moved on to a friendlier client for my setup but you should be able to slap a label on them ebooks and have auto label / auto move / whatever sort them out based on either filename which somewhere in the folder title or file title will be EBOOK or EPUB or MOBI or .. you get the point
my auto downloader will find new stuff by author and snatch the torrent then feed it into the torrent client and slap "EBOOK" label on it, once its complete it will be extracted (if its archived) then moved or copied to the destination I select for that type (of label)
https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/PluginAutotools <-- this should do it
USB servers installs this plugin pack or it’s install by default not sure. But it’s called unpack. I also use autotools to help with syncthing separate radarr and sonarr files.
AFAIK: Quickbox comes with ruTorrent, which talkes to rTorrent with the XML-RPC protocal over an local SCGI port (by default: 5000).
So you could either call the ruTorrent plugin HTTPRPC (https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/tree/master/plugins/httprpc) which is available at https://YOURSERVER/rutorrent/plugins/httprpc/action.php
Or talk directly to the SCGI server, as described here: https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent/wiki/RPC-Setup-XMLRPC
Maybe you can check the log files or the browser console to see if there's any error. I'm running the latest git versions of both file manager and rutorrent but I think this feature has been there from the start.
i found the issue. It also affects adding RSS feeds.
go to your rutorrent installation folder
navigate to rutorrent/php
Replace Snoopy.class.inc with the following file:
rutorrent made a change to it recently which broke this, and RSS feeds.
You are missing the most important part of the code, the if statement that is failing which is
rTorrentSettings::get()->correctDirectory($path_edit)
The correctDirectory function is defined here.
It all seems to suggest you are not providing a proper input path. What are you giving as input?
Well I tried lighttpd now to see if it worked (it didn't).
I did what's decribed here, is there anything more I have to do?
This seems like it might be relevant:
>Plugins will load when the webui is opened. If you have plugins which need to poll for data (like rss or scheduler) you may wish to have them start when rtorrent starts, regardless of whether or not the webui has been loaded. All plugins can be brought up with a single .rtorrent.rc
command.
See: github.com/Novik/ruTorrent/wiki/Plugins#starting-plugins-with-rtorrent.
