But before you run it, you have to disable the auto update feature. I did this by using CC cleaner and going to Tools > Startup > Scheduled Tasks --- and there are two update processes that you need to disable.
If you use RES on Reddit, make sure you grab the version from October, RES won't work on any version less than 54.
I personally use Chrome but I couldn't fucking believe how awesome SlimJet was when I tested it. Based on Chromium but it has much much more, all customizable. There is a portable version as well.
I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate (64 Bit) with four monitors; using the latest chrome versions for the past couple of months has caused videos when maximized on the non-primary screen from a maximized browser to be off-center and pushed to the bottom right of the screen leaving a 1/4" border at the top and left of the screen. The only way to have the video play without this new border is to have the browser not maximized on the desired non-primary monitor. Interestingly, if I use https://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ to enable task bars, it works like normal. I resorted to using Firefox but it was incredibly slow compared to Chrome. I'm now have to use an older version of chrome, http://www.slimjet.com/chrome/google-chrome-old-version.php, 49.0.2623.75, to be specific.
You can download an older version here: http://www.slimjet.com/chrome/google-chrome-old-version.php
Version 52.0.2743.116 is the most recent prior to the removal of this feature. Longer term, I doubt they'll re-implement the feature (despite the outcry) so you'll want to start looking into extensions that offer similar functionality, or consider using another browser.
Chromium-based, built-in mouse gestures, memory management, bookmarks bar has auto-hide feature (more viewing area), scroll wheel switches tabs, lots of other tab features not found in other Chromium browsers, built-in cache location feature (no special startup commands needed), option to remove floating URL while in fullscreen, toolbar customization, and several other nice features.
If POSready is based on Windows XP then probably Chrome 49 will be the last version that works for it.
I don't know where to download old Chrome's from official sources, there's a source here http://www.slimjet.com/chrome/google-chrome-old-version.php
Try out Slimjet instead of using Chrome. Since it's based on chromium you can use it to access your google owned sites like YouTube, but it won't track you or send your browsing history straight to Clinton's server farm located under the main Clinton Foundation building. If Clinton has your info don't you think Putin is laughing at your porn searches?
OP here, i think i've managed to fix it finaly. Try to delete Chrome and install an older version from here: http://www.slimjet.com/chrome/google-chrome-old-version.php . 48.0.2564.109 64-bit worked for me. Hope it helps, these ugly windows were bugging me out.
