Learn the basic of typing on TypingClub. It would take a month or so but after that, you should be able to type 60-80 words/min
Game like this would more likely push your number up further. Very a valuable life skill to have and you can impress your fellow office worker with this
You know it's never too late to learn tho ? It really makes a difference and you get to speed in no time. I was like 60wpm qwerty with like 5 random fingers and in 2 weeks I hit 60wpm dvorak 10 fingers. Plus there are tons of ressources to do just that. To just go from x fingers to 9 fingers you don't need more than a week to get to speed without changing layout.
PS: I am now around 115wpm on a 1min test
I don't understand the sub but personally I used typingclub to learn the keys and monkeytype to get me up to speed. I went from qwerty 5 fingers ~60wpm to dvorak 9/10 fingers ~60wpm in 1.5 week and now I'm peeking at ~120wpm
It took me about a week to learn it with this site: http://typingclub.com/typing-qwerty-en.html I did all the exercises up to 90, and after a while I managed to get up to something like 65 WPM on typeracer.com.
typingclub It is not a game, but it is still fun.
There is also singpath.com and cogindbat.com to learn how to program and type at the same time.
If you play typing games your primary goal should be to have fun. Typing in and of itself is not that worthwhile of a skill.
