There were news articles suggesting it would be delayed I am afraid. A number of guildmates and myself are using VPN's such as viper which I believe is free - and if you use this link: https://vyprvpn.com/refer?ar=1f7jbucqodviv_1 you will give one of my guildees more data to play on.
Basically all you are trying to do is change the routing of your connection - I find changing my location to Singapore seems to work but others have done different things and ended up with lag free games.
Vyprvpn has a cell app.. 500mb free a month.. Couldn't that bypass the providers? Although.. If too many people used it, they would probably block that..
Edit: up to 2gb free if people sign up with referral code.. Shameless plug: https://vyprvpn.com/refer?ar=7c9ts7q7aldm4_1
A lot of the information on this list is good and useful, but the mix of true and untrue information, may inadvertently undermine its value and trustworthiness.
The comments about Proton in particular are all incorrect. For example, "close ties to Calif, USA, like vyprvpn.com", is not a correct comparison. Proton staff can be easily found on Linkedin, job posts are also online, and there are photos of the team on Instagram. It's fairly obvious the vast majority are in Switzerland/Europe. It's also easy to check and verify that the app doesn't have Crashlytics or trackers (after all, it is open source). For this list to be credible, it really shouldn't have obviously incorrect information on it.
Hi there! We are still working on a solution for Chinese users to access our mirror domains, but you can try to access vyprvpn.com via a Proxy. We understand this is not an ideal situation and we will update once we have a work around. Thank you!
TVPad 1/2/3 is scheduled to become completely useless after January 1st, 2016. Right now, I'm still able to get some channels to work via a VPN to Hong Kong (https://vyprvpn.com/refer?ar=86kq3c5cpmkoj_1 - 500MB free per month, 500MB if you get referrals to sign up :) Basically, I set up the VPN connection to HK on a spare router, then connected the TVPad to it. I'm getting most of the HK stuff, and a few of the China apps work.
I don't expect anything to work past January 1st, though.
