Hey, thanks for the post!
We hear you - we know that many iOS users could benefit from having a kill switch for iOS. It's something we definitely want to add in the future, but I'm sorry to say that we don't have any specific plans for it right now.
But please rest assured that you are safe using VyprVPN in general - the core technology behind our VPN service is absolutely up to date and fully secure!
Thank you for reaching out with your questions. VyprVPN is a No Log VPN service, meaning we don’t track or retain any user activity while connected to our service and we do not log the IP address they use. If the copyright holder only provides an IP address as identifying information, then it is impossible for us to associate a DMCA notice with any of our users. So, to answer your question: Yes, we simply wouldn’t know which user was involved in the copyright violation.
Here's our official word on p2p. P2P has always been allowed, but obviously our change to being a No Log VPN gives you more security.
I am having the same issue with the PIA VPN client. Others on the windows feedback hub have the problem with NordVPN as well. Wireguard will not connect at all after KB5005101 is installed. Changing to Openvpn works for 2-3 minutes at a time. Uninstalling the patch fixes the issue immediately. On the feedback hub no body cares as they are too busy with win 11 issues.
Hi there, sorry for the confusion.
If you have VyprVPN through Giganews, then you'll use your Giganews username to log into VyprVPN, rather than an email address. The app is just set to ask for email address since customers who have VyprVPN directly through Golden Frog have an email address for the login, rather than a different username.
Hello! Netflix should work with VyprVPN when connected to the US, UK, Canada, or Germany. If any of those sever locations aren't working for Netflix, please contact our support team so we can help out with that -
Hi!
We're sorry to hear you're having these connection speed issues on the VPN with your router.
Typically we expect to see about 2mbps to 20mbps on most router configurations. Some routers with better hardware will give a higher speed.
We're not throttling the VyprVPN service on any of our servers.
Could I have you try connecting with the VyprVPN app on one of your computers with the router VPN connection temporarily disconnected to see if you get the same speeds with the VPN and let us know the results?
You can find download links here:
We look forward to you letting us know the results of this.
Sorry for the trouble you're having with VyprVPN in China. While we aren't able to provide a timeline on protocol updates, we can say that evaluating it for all platforms and working on implementation.
There aren't any specific servers that we would recommend connecting to, but the ones closest around China (Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, South Korea, etc.) are the best bet most of the time.
As for the issues with ports that you have seen, we are nearing a hot-fix release for Windows to fix the issues with automatic port selection for users in China. The ports we recommend using currently with Chameleon are 15001-15005. Hope this helps and thanks for reaching out to us!
Great question! Whenever you have a device connected to VyprVPN, no one will see the device's real IP address. They will see the IP address that's been assigned to the device by the VPN.
If you were to connect with VyprVPN to any of our server locations, then any website or online service would see the VyprVPN IP address you are connected with.
Well yes it has always been, forgive my lack of clarity. What I mean is, can users now use P2P without ISPs or their respective government knowing about it, anywhere in the world? Because in the US and some European countries that was previously not possible as a warning would be given and/or the VyprVPN account suspended. This is possible with other VPN providers.
VyprVPN is transitory digital network communications under 17 U.S.C. § 512(a) of the Copyright Act. In order to protect the privacy of our users, we do not log the IP address used by any user. If the copyright holder only provides an IP address as identifying information, then it is impossible for us to associate a DMCA notice with any of our users.
Hey! We've tested VyprVPN on Mojave and it's working great for us. If you have any issues please reach out to our support team, as we would definitely like to know.
That is not normal!
It may help to make sure your computer's date and time are set correctly. It may also help to try fully uninstalling and then reinstalling the VyprVPN application.
If you continue to see this error, please get in touch with support -
Hey! Sorry for the delay in getting here!
First of all, I want to clear up some confusion - we don't have a set date for this update yet. The agent who informed second week of September was unfortunately mistaken. It could end up being finished around that time, we just aren't sure yet.
As soon as we have a set date in mind, we'll be reaching out to all customers via email and updating our service status page here -
Indeed. And if they don't have OpenVPN-TCP in the upcoming version, then I wont use VyprVPN.
Supported told me about that this below:
We are sorry as there is no confirmed report on the availability of OpenVPN-TCP. After the updated version, is released we will explore it and then let you know about it.
Thanks for the input, fellow commenters - some antivirus systems are falsely detecting that VyprVPN is or contains malicious software. Rest assured that this is a false positive, and VyprVPN is totally safe to use!
We're working to get this resolved with various antivirus providers. Until then, setting your antivirus to ignore or allow VyprVPN should do the trick. u/forlaine, I was sorry to read that this didn't work with your previous antivirus! That's more of a failure on the part of the previous antivirus software, but definitely an inconvenience that shouldn't have had to happen in the first place.
You probably should report this directly to Vyprvpn as the stickied post at the top of the sub suggests.
Also,
New customer here and wanted to make sure that VyprVPN supports Wireguard which it, unfortunately, doesn't. And I'm staying with a ho is a great provider (been using more than 4years now). That's a pity, wanted to change VPN providers just to try to get better speeds but because Wireguard will have to suspend this. Uh oh
Use qBittorrent, go to Tools > Options > Advanced, make sure it is connected through the VyprVPN network adapter.
Also make sure your Kill Switch is on and Automatic Reconnect is off.
We have seen cases in the past where a user's torrent client will cache their original IP address, and make that IP address visible in the torrent swarm. We've done extensive research on this and found that VyprVPN itself is not leaking the original IP address.
The best way we have found to avoid this is to set your torrent client to only connect over a network adapter that is specific to VyprVPN. That way, the torrent client shouldn't have access to your normal IP, since it only communicates with the VPN's network adapter. It may be necessary to restart the torrent client or perform some other action to remove the original IP address from the torrent client's memory.
Norton antivirus did the same kind of thing to me FYI, identifying VyprVPN as PUA.Superfluss. It quarantined VyprVPN and then I had to suffer through 2 or 3 reboots with blue screens of death. I haven't gone to the trouble to reinstall yet, not wanting a repeat of all that or worse. Will this be addressed by VyprVPN soon?
Thanks for the post and comments, guys. This is definitely a false positive, and we've submitted data to Microsoft to get this false positive result removed from Windows Security.
Until that's done, you can safely tell Windows Security to allow VyprVPN on the computer.
To whoever downvoted my other comment, look at what I found on the VyprVPN support web site, updated 10 hours ago:
All roads lead to Austin -
I'm pretty sure all of the United States servers except the ones in Austin are leased by VyprVPN, therefore Whois is going to return an Austin address.
I don't think that is how it works, and if someone knows something more about this please correct me. There's a good overview here as well:
To the best of my understanding, since VyprVPN does not keep any logs, if they were presented with a court order saying "on 2022-01-14 17:58, IP 123.456.78.90 illegally downloaded a file, who used that IP?" then VyprVPN would say "let's check our logs to see, wait, we have no logs, we have no idea".
If the legal entity then said "give us a list of all your users" I don't think a court would ever grant such a large collection of data since it would prove useless. Then again, it's a court, so you never know what will happen, but legal precedence has shown that this doesn't get granted often.
Regardless, any time you choose to download something illegally you can get caught, and all you can do if you choose to do so is stack the odds in your favor not to get caught.
We're still looking into that. Netflix is accessible while connected to VyprVPN, but corresponding content isn't available based on the server location you're connected to. For now, only global content is available on Netflix while connected to VyprVPN - the stuff that's always available regardless of which country you're connecting from.
This seems to be affecting other VPN providers as well. We thank you for your patience!
Hey, thanks for posting!
We definitely think it's worth it, every time, to update to the latest version of VyprVPN as soon as possible. In the latest full build, we updated our Wireguard implementation to the latest version of Wireguard to give our users the best possible performance over the Wireguard protocol.
We're fixing bugs and improving general performance with each and every update as well.
What browser are you using? tehre are a lot of things spying on you, cookies, geolocation mete data, Canvas Fingerprint Identity, etc.
Run some tests with the vpn active also Vypr has Chameleon.
Hey, thanks for posting! We'll be glad to clarify about this.
The linked review is outdated. We used to keep VPN session logs for 30 days, but that is no longer the case - we are now a completely no-log VPN, and we were also independently audited to ensure that we didn't accidentally have our system collecting any data that would be personally identifiable.
You can read about our no-log status here,
Your web activity is fully private when connected to VyprVPN. Let us know if you have any questions!
Read the privacy policy again and think about it a bit. It is pretty standard for aa VPN provider.
If a court asks them "who is lttcom", they will supply the customer records they have for you.
THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE ON-LINE.
"No Log" doesn't mean "we don't know who are users are".
Their privacy policy says:
> We do not log a user's source IP address (typically assigned to the user by their ISP).
> We do not log the IP address assigned to the user when using VyprVPN.
> We do not log connection start or stop time.
>We do not log a user's traffic or the content of any communications.
And THOSE items are what would be needed to make the connection from what you do on-line and you as a customer and a IRL person.
To give an example, how this works in real life:
supposing you are not using a VPN and you torrenting something, if they (the good guys) see your IP, will then send a court order to your ISP to ask them your details and the ISP gives them the info about you and you get to pay a lot of money for what you did.
using VyprVPN and you torrenting something, if they (the good guys) see your IP, will then send a court order to VyprVPN to ask them your details and the VyprVPN gives them the info about you and you get caught.
So... sounds to me like a bad deal
Thanks for the post. We totally understand your concern.
VyprVPN uses state-of-the-art encryption protocols in our VPN apps that can't be broken. To be extra-safe, we recommend enabling the Kill Switch feature in the VyprVPN application, as well as the Automatic Reconnect feature. That way, if the VyprVPN app loses its connection for any reason, it will block Internet access on the device until it is able to reconnect.
With those settings enabled, VyprVPN will for sure keep your connection information private. But be careful regardless - for example, if you were connected to VyprVPN but logged into a social media account that the government knows belongs to you, they'll know that what was posted came from you, even if your connection was secured by VyprVPN or another VPN service.
Hello!
We're sorry, but our server in Japan isn't configured so that we can guarantee reliable Netflix access to region-specific content. So for example, most Netflix original content will likely be available, but One Piece and other Japanese shows may be unavailable.
We currently support Netflix access on our Canada, Germany, UK, and all of our US servers. To see a complete list of supported streaming services and their corresponding server locations, please see our support page here.
Sorry, but that's not possible - VyprVPN will connect your device directly to our VPN server, effectively bypassing your local network. Your router would likely be able to see that you're connected to VyprVPN, but any activity on that connection would not be visible to the router.
This may be inconvenient for specific reasons in your case, but it's how a VPN should work. If VPN traffic information were visible to your router, that would mean that it would theoretically be visible to anyone who supplies your Internet connection - that would include your ISP, anyone who owns wireless routers that you connect to while travelling, and your mobile carrier.
That would be bad news for a VPN.
Nope. You will need to make a portable Linux distro with persistence on a good 3.1 flash drive with Rufus Portable (does not need admin permission to run), install a Linux VPN client on that (sadly, Vypr does not have one) and boot from the flash drive.

Hi there! We are still working on a solution for Chinese users to access our mirror domains, but you can try to access vyprvpn.com via a Proxy. We understand this is not an ideal situation and we will update once we have a work around. Thank you!
In light of Protonmail (also a Swiss company, like GoldenFrog) complying with Swiss law and answering requests from Swiss authorities, who seem like they were a proxy for Europol and/or French Authorities, having a more recent audit date or detailed changelog of updates would go a long way to putting some people’s minds at ease in reagrds to their security.
I mean, that is the better part of four years ago, and that is ancient in internet terms :/
Not here to bash VyprVPN. Love your product, and support! Keep up the great work!!
Hey, thanks for the post!
We've made a change on our end which should resolve the issues with Slack. If you still have any trouble with it, please try disconnecting and then reconnecting to VyprVPN.
If you continue to have trouble with Slack, please let us know!
Hi, thanks for the post!
Your best bet would probably be to find a torrent client that allows you to specify which network adapter it uses. Set it to use a network adapter that is specific to VyprVPN. That way, if/when that network adapter loses its VPN connection, the torrent client will simply lose its connections, since it's configured to only use the VPN's network adapter.
Below I've listed out our Connection Per App and Kill Switch availability on the most popular platforms (Android, Mac, iOS, ans Windows):
_____
Our Android application has a Kill switch and Connection Per App capabilities, so if you were torrenting on Android, this would be easy to implement. We do realize that torrenting on Android is uncommon, though.
Connection Per App capability on our Mac application is something we're working to improve in an upcoming update to VyprVPN for Mac. VyprVPN for Mac has a Kill switch, so implementing this on Mac would be relatively easy once our Connection Per App function is improved on Mac.
Our iOS application doesn't have Connection Per App capability, but it does have a Kill switch.
Windows has a Kill Switch, but does not have Connection Per App capability. It's something that we want to add in the future, but we don't have a way to implement it currently, and don't have any exact plans or dates for when we might expect that to be added.
_____
TL;DR - if you only want to use the VyprVPN app to implement this, Mac and Android will be your best bet. Otherwise, using a torrent client that allows you to specify the network adapter, and setting that to a VyprVPN network adapter, would work on other platforms.

Hey, thanks for posting. We've been testing out VyprVPN on Windows 11, but so far we haven't experienced an issue with Wireguard.

Same problem for me "There is a problem with the wintun driver, which is required for WireGuard protocol to function properly. Please click the reinstall button, to restore missing or corrupted components".
Windows 10
VyprVPN app version 4.2.3.10724
Hi.
After reinstalling KB5005101 update and reboot, same problem. Cannot connect to any server using WireGuard. My system is a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600S CPU @ 2.80GHz, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro 21H1 19043.1165 with Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0
You can test it out here
I never had this problem with Mullvad or (the later versions of) Azire.
Others seem to be saying the same about Vypr's killswitch. Almost every other review is complaining about the killswitch.
After receiving the compliance demands from Roskomnadzor, VyprVPN stated that it “will not cooperate with the Russian government in their efforts to censor VPN services.”
Yea a VPN that doesn't bow to communism is good
Dude if you read that link, it says...
"After receiving the compliance demands from Roskomnadzor, VyprVPN stated that it “will not cooperate with the Russian government in their efforts to censor VPN services.”"
THIS IS GOOD! If they were like another VPN that would throw your privacy out the window that would be bad...
Guess that answers my question - NL and Singapore. So much for Swiss-based company when I don't even know if I'm really connected to Switzerland.
> and I trust the company
That's the thing, I don't. They refuse to disclose such critical information, and the mere fact that they use virtual servers is tucked away, hidden within two pages in their blog.
Furthermore, their (supposedly) proprietary DNS uses Amazon and Google crap.
On top of a faulty kill switch on PC and android.
The Windows client leaks my real IP every single time it disconnects.
I had to switch to the OpenVPN app because their native android app is just so terrible.
Shady company, atrocious clients, slow speeds because I have no idea how far away the servers really are, company signed in the US (not just CH). All of these made them lose me and likely many more as a customer.
/u/VyprVPN this is my feedback before I request a refund. Not coming back any time soon.
Edit: you also won't answer any of my questions here. I've tagged you a dozen times while you reply to others. Support has been just as useless. It really makes me wonder if you really have 2 million users.
Well, huh. This is an interesting read -
"VyprVPN specifically discloses no virtual locations, but 59% are apparently virtual."
Personally speaking, I don't really care where the physical servers are, and I trust the company. The more obfuscation the better.
Yes, those are virtual servers. They're not physically located in those countries. I'm asking about where the physical hunk of metal is geographically located as it is subjuct to the laws of the country.
For example Moscow is on there but VyprVPN is banned in Russia .
The single most important job of a VPN is trust, and they can't even provide that. I'll go back to Azire even though it costs 3 times as much. Because I trust them.
Hey, thanks for posting!
If you're trying Wireguard on Windows 11 beta, please be aware that we're currently working to get VyprVPN fully operational on Windows 11 by the time it's fully released.
Regardless of the operating system, it may help to uninstall and then fully reinstall the VyprVPN app. If you're on any version of Windows, make sure to check the box that says "VyprVPN User Settings" during the uninstall process.
If you continue to have trouble with Wireguard, please get in touch with support -
Proton is a little expensive for me (the only reason I went with Vypr is because it's cheap), but you're right, I should definitely switch.
If you don't trust me with this simple fact, why should I trust you with my data? I'll be getting a refund soon. /u/VyprVPN
I purchased the 3 yr plan, and vypr speeds have been really nice, I also have Torguard and Windscribe, Torguard speed is practically stopped ~ Horrible, Windscribe has some nice features but slower.
However Vypr does not allow me to use a 3rd part DNS, or have their own ad blocking, I know Hulu and Vypr kinda have an agreement, and one of the reasons I bought Vypr was for Hulu, but VPNs today have way more features and Vypr is being left in yesteryear!
I also am not to keen on Vypr DNS being provided by Amazon?

I really would like a Server node in Boston and a DNS that can block some intrusive content or the ability to use my own!
Sorry for the confusion - we know the new proxy extension doesn't allow split tunnelling per app in Windows.
We wanted to mention it here because we feel that it may help some users who are in need of split-tunnelling, since it allows the user to connect to VyprVPN in their browser without their entire computer being connected.
Split tunnelling is something we want to add to Windows in the future, but we unfortunately don't have an ETA on when that might happen.
Like u/AnythingFirm mentioned, Chameleon should work to get someone connected to the outside world from within China - and as long as the user is connecting from a stable network, the loss of speed should be minimal.
Regarding the specific task of making it look like the user was connecting with someone in China, instead of the person outside of China who they are really connecting with - VyprVPN wouldn't be able to do that, unfortunately. But the user will certainly need to be able to make a connection to outside of China, and VyprVPN would be useful for that.
I think I'm going to do the same. On top of horrible speeds and lack of a functioning killswitch, they use virtual servers - almost entirely based in the US.
Furthermore they refuse to answer any criticism.
Shady company with subpar products.
So this feature is available now and it does not allow users to split-tunnel or route apps through like Mac users. It's useful for those that just want to use a browser but I have 4 Windows applications that need VPN protection and I have one other specific piece of software that runs as a Windows Service as well but it needs to get through the VPN. The chrome browser extension does not fix this in anyway shape or form, it does not have kill switch, it is missing my local server. What is the ETA for the split-tunnel feature Mac users have had for 4 years?

"VyprVPN Proxy's connection will only affect your Google Chrome browser. Enjoy all the goodness of VyprVPN in Google Chrome without affecting other connections on your computer!"
Yes, we do offer a 3-day free trial period when signing up through the VyprVPN app on Android or iOS devices.
If you sign up on our website, you will have our 30-day money back guarantee and can request a refund any time within the first 30 days of service. Although you will be billed immediately, you will have the option to get your money back within the first 30 days of using VyprVPN.
Hi, sorry to hear about the trouble!
This definitely shouldn't be happening - a full uninstall and reinstall of the VyprVPN app might help. If you're on Windows, make sure to check the box that says "VyprVPN User Settings" during the uninstall process.
If you continue to have trouble, please get in touch with support so we can gather additional info and look further into this -
Hi, sorry to hear about this!
Please make sure you are on the latest version of VyprVPN. You can access our app downloads here -
We also recommend trying all available VPN protocols in the app settings to see if any of them will allow a connection.
If you're still having the same trouble, please get in touch with our support team -
Thanks for your post!
We make specific efforts to keep Netflix available when connected to our US, Canada, Germany, and UK server locations.
While it's possible that any streaming service may work from any of our server locations, we can only assure you that Netflix will work from one of the server locations listed above.
We offer a 30-day money back guarantee for accounts created from our website, and a 3-day free trial for accounts signed up for through our mobile apps. So please feel free to try for yourself and see if VyprVPN works for Netflix Vietnam. If you do have trouble getting it to work, there are some steps here which might help -
Hey, sorry to hear that - we just tested Hulu while connected to Austin and were able to start a video.
If you haven't already, please try disconnecting from VyprVPN, clear your browsers' cache and cookies, reconnect to a VyprVPN US server, and then try Hulu once more.
If you're still having trouble, please get in touch with support -
It sounds like Adguard and Control-D's DNS may be conflicting with VyprDNS.
Whenever using a 3rd-party DNS while connected to VyprVPN, we recommend setting the alternate DNS addresses within the DNS settings in the VyprVPN app.
If that's not possible, or if you've tried that and it didn't help, then you may have better luck specifying any alternate DNS addresses (such as your ISP's) in the VyprVPN app, and then enable the ad-blocking services on the device.
That will prevent the connection from using VyprDNS, which may work better with Adguard and other DNS-related services.
If you're still having trouble, please get in contact with our support team -
We don't have any form of ad-blocking available right now, unfortunately, but that may change in the future. For now we'd recommend using ad-blocking extensions in your browsers while connected to VyprVPN.
Okay, thank you very much. Are there similarly good blocklists against advertising in VyprVPN? If so, how can I set that up? Blokada has done an excellent job so far, but of course doesn't offer the security of a good VPN like VyprVPN.
If you're just using Blokada's ad-blocker along with VyprVPN, that probably wouldn't cause any issues, but it could potentially cause browsing trouble if Blokada changes anything with DNS settings to do its ad-blocking.
But we wouldn't recommend using VyprVPN along with Blokada's VPN, or any other VPN. They may interfere with each other in unpredictable ways.
I wonder if VyprVPN is going to provide access to WireGuard to Linux clients at all? If yes, then when? I just got the feeling that no. Since they have had this protocol for a year already and this is perhaps the only VPN provider that has the WireGuard protocol, but it is available only in their client. I'm really looking forward to ProtonVPN's WireGuard protocol support, but there is no news yet, and I have to use this poor service (VyprVPN)
Well, it depends on your needs. If you just need something that is not as bad as OpenVPN, expressvpn has proven to be pretty nice. If you do really want wireguard, NordVPN has it--they just call it nordlynx. You can use their client which hides the info, or you can strace their software and capture the wireguard info from there. It will write out a config file, connect, and then quickly delete the config file.
I think there are a couple of factors that I know of involved. Everyone is trying to brand their VPN as doing something special with some product name and then no really explaining what it is. If you're familiar with the world of crypto, that kind of obscurity usually does not end well. Crypto is hard, and you want things that have had many eyes on them looking for flaws.
Secod, I think there's some motivation for not giving fast VPN access to Linux clients in particular because they're likely to use more bandwidth. OpenVPN is dog slow--especially on OpenWRT etc. It's too easy to turn a linux machine into a router. This is why nordvpn does provide a nordlynx package for linux, but then uses it to lock down the routing table. You can clear all of that out, but it takes more than your average linux user to figure all of it out and script it up properly. Second, they're also pushing NordLynx as some advanced tech, but ti's just wireguard. Their bin's write a wireguard config file, bring up the connection, and then delete it. They use basic interface renaming to call it nordlynx and you're supposed to ignore the wg threads running in the kernel.
ExpressVPN's lightway appears to be wolfssl based, and was more problematic for me, but they really weren't hostile in the way that it works. Because I'm not their target package crowd I tried to write a derivation for it and kind of hit a wall. I did find a docker container for it and chained on a socks proxy and send things through socks when I want. Generally I feel more comfortable with them than Nord for some reason, I don't know. It all eventually scratched my itch.
Yes, that's normal. We configure VyprDNS so that DNS queries aren't identified as having come from Golden Frog. As long as your ISP's name isn't showing up in DNS queries while connected to VyprVPN, you can rest assured that your DNS requests are being kept private and secure by VyprDNS.
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you won't be continuing with VyprVPN.
Hi,
Please make sure you're on the latest version of the VyprVPN application. If you're still unable to connect, please contact our support team so we can take a closer look -
If you can't reach that page, you can email us directly at
Hello, Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with the VyprVPN application currently. Please contact our support team via live chat or email here, so we can help you out and investigate this further for you. Thanks!
14 eyes has nothing to do with it. Mullvad is also from Sweden (14 eyes). Everybody is recommending Mullvad! If the VPN provider is not able to handover any data then what's the need to check the jurisdiction of a VPN?
Before acquisition of PIA, PIA won many cases in USA. it's based on USA again 14 eyes!
This exchange we are having here is the exact same time-wasting exchange I had with VyprVPN support the last time, only to get an email later per above acknowledging that vypr doesn’t have their act together. Someone other than Level 1 support who knows what’s going on needs to get on this board and explain how they are going to fix this, as it isn’t working Right now. And it’s been nearly a month since I raised this issue.
I have latest versions on my iOS devices and tried the latest version of the Win 10 app about a month ago, while Talking to their tech support. On windows I prefer to simply set it up the vpn manually under Network & Internet in the control panel. The VyprVPN win app drains battery and resources on my laptop.
Sorry for the trouble with this, and thanks for bringing it to our attention. Can you please make sure you're on the latest version of the app ( and see if you're experiencing the same issues? This release has multiple bug fixes for the WireGuard protocol. If you still continue to have trouble, please contact our support team from within the VyprVPN app and send connection logs so we can look into this further for you. Thanks again!
That is definitely a strange sounding issue. It does sound like a one-off issue because it is not an issue that we've had reported. I'm glad to hear you've checked on virus and malware that could be present.
Something that I would check is eliminate any background running programs that could be pushing on the connection. Assuming you are operating on Windows, you can try a selective startup or clean boot and test the connection. The info available can be found here:
Keep in mind that VyprVPN does employ a background service, particularly for openvpn and chameleon connections.
It's possible with the connection per app feature. Unfortunately, VyprVPN for Android TV does not have connection per app available. It's available in the normal Android build of VyprVPN, but not in the Android TV version of the app, which is what runs on Nvidia Shield TV.
Hi, thanks for your post.
Many sites, especially sites that deal with sales, travel, or banking information, will block access from IP addresses that they know or suspect to be assigned by VPNs.
Unfortunately, we can't tell which of our IP addresses are blocked on which websites. If you disconnect and reconnect to the same VyprVPN server, you will usually get a different IP address. If you disconnect and then reconnect to a different server location, you will always get a different IP address. If you try this a few times, you may get an IP which isn't blocked by the site you're trying to access.
Hi, thanks for your question.
VyprVPN connections are established over TCP and UDP protocols. We don't block other protocols while connected to VyprVPN.
I'm not completely sure what your needs are when selecting a VPN service, but we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee. If our service doesn't work the way that your friend needs it to, they can request a refund from our support team any time during the first 30 days of service.
Thanks for dropping your feedback here, it's very valuable to us.
Our development team is working on fixing the issue which led to us removing Kill Switch from the FireTV version of VyprVPN. We have every intention of adding it back in a future update to VyprVPN for FireTV.
However, we're sorry to say that we aren't sure when that will be. We'll be sure to update this thread when that happens!
Hey that's a great question! Unfortunately, we don't offer instructions on setting up such a config as it's a more advanced configuration that we don't support. That being said, we did locate an older post on our forum as well regarding this that looks like it might be from you. So hopefully between the two you can find the answer you're looking for. However, if you are looking for the server addresses VyprVPN connects to specifically and not the VyprVPN service itself, then those can be found on our support site, here:
dont use VyprVPN, they are the worst when it come to VPN on router. i had them, tried them and did asked for help to the point that i just gave up on it and wasted my 12 months subscription and i still think it is better to stick with VyprVPN
On sign up through the VyprVPN app on Android I don't get offered a mobile-only plan for $29.99 but instead get offered a years subscription for $109.99 or two other plans which only get more expensive.
Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. VyprVPN does offer over 200,000 IP address across all of our 70+ servers. With more IP address allocated to our higher traffic server locations in comparison to our less populated servers. While we aren't able state specifically how many IP addresses each server locations has. Our Netherlands server location is one of our highly populated servers so the odds of retrieving the same IP address twice would be very unlikely.
Thank you for letting us know about this issue. We are very sorry to hear your experience has not been a smooth one. This is not the service we wish to deliver, let's connect to give us the opportunity to correct this. Our Customer Success team, available to chat or email every day here:
We will also be DMing you in just a minute.

Thank you for your feedback. We have resolved the connection issue on the VyprVPN Windows and Android App but please make sure that you activate the Chameleon Protocol on your app to get full access. For more details about activating the chameleon protocol on your Windows or Android devices, please follow the steps highlighted in this page: https://support.goldenfrog.website/hc/en-us/articles/360011078611-Chameleon-Set-up-Instructions
Our team is still working hard to restore the service on the iOS devices. We will make sure to update our users as soon as we have the connection back on iOS platforms.
I just redeemed my VPN code the other week :3 I do a lot of gaming, show streaming and internet browsing during these colder winter months and always love having VyprVPN to do it on. Kinda like a tradition now since I got my first subscription around thanksgiving in 2013. A very notable part of my set of fond holiday memories.
