Maybe it's just me, but I haven't been experiencing any problems with my OP3's volume rocker. You could use an app like this if you want.
Yeah. That's exactly what 100% Catch does right there.
Does your phone sometimes lag?
Also - Yep - There are MANY apps that you can use to simulate gestures. Android has a free one called "Assistivetouch". Its design is to help those with motor skill disabilities actually. You can "record" gestures to use with games like Pokemon Go.

I think you mean iPhones assistive touch feature. ROG phone doesn't have any built in feature like that but you can always download something like that from play store like this app- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch If you don't like this particular app than search for similar one's on play store by typing "assistive touch"
You can go one further. Download Assistive Touch to lock your phone via software. It uses iOS assistive touch feature.
Pros: Locks your phone via software
Cons: when you "lock", it shows a fake lock screen for 5-10 seconds until it actually locks and it's an unresponsive fake lock screen. But it does lock.
Takes a second or 2 to get to the fake lock screen
There's 1 ad whenever your charge (I think it's worth it)
So with mine it would come back on in about a week and then it just stopped coming back on altogether.
I replaced my phone with a Nexus and turned on my OP2 this morning just to see and wouldn't you know it? It's working again. You might be ok once it dries up.
Until then, on screen nav bar or Assistive Touch. Fun stuff.
how did that happen?
you could go for this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch&hl=en
Try this app instead, it works for me ---> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch
The on screen button looks like the icon of this app btw: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch But I don't have any assistive touch apps installed
I still think it could be a hardware issue. Try using an app like this and see if the problem continues https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch
they can't recognize the status bar and they don't know how to google https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch&hl=en
