Sort of. If you use the app SecondScreen and set it up to make the resolution 1080, the NexDoc 2 will function as a monitor/keyboard/mouse.
The RP2 doesn't have a desktop experience like Samsung or Huawei, so it is mostly running android apps in a laptop form factor. Chrome with desktop sites works pretty well.
Honestly, I would compare it to a very slightly inferior Chromebook.
(Source: I have a RP2 and a NexDoc 2, and have had a Chromebook to compare.)
Yes. I use this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.genie.dimmer
it's nice cause you can set it to turn on/off on a schedule, it will dim the notification shade, you can set it to turn the screen brightness to the minimum when you turn it on, and it's got a quick tile. when you do turn it on there's a notification for it where you can increase/decrease the opacity.
if you installed that app i linked in my original post, you'll see when it stops charging. to calibrate properly, you should leave it on charger for another hour after it reaches 100%. but also check with the mentioned app if it still charges or it stopped.
edit: my bad, thought i linked the app in OP.
you going to change phone or battery? coz you don't need to change battery, you need to calibrate it.
also, 1h to fully charge from 20% is not good. you're probably at around 4000-4500mAh capacity. when our phone is at full capacity, it should show around 5750. i'd suggest you download this app and see what's your current capacity
i played games that have 120 hz support and as much as they drain your battery more, it still doesn't mean your battery lost 1000mAh in less than a year. my nexus 7 from 2012 lost that much lol
If you mean separate Android Profiles, pile a Guest account, etc, then no, not supported. But you can install Island and use the Work profile to clone apps for secondary accounts, or sandbox apps you want more control over.
I use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.github.ericytsang.screenfilter.app.android
It's global and sits on top of everything. So if you take a screenshot even the screenshot is dim(only downside)
It looks like gsmarena updated their review at some point after the initial release:
^ Original
My guess is a software patch or config allowed them to test it in full. I'll check dates but I thought there was a ROM update sometime in September right around the NA release.
Download the WW International rom from here

2) Extract the file on your PC. Boot the phone into fastboot mode (hold volume up then press and hold power button) connect to the side port and run "flashall_AFT.cmd" wait for it to finish and the phone will restart itself.
where exactly do I type flashall_aft.cmd? there is nothing that related to that, if I cmd in the folder I extracted it to there is nothing there
In India, it says the 8gb one is releasing on 8th October, no info about the 12gb one on flipkart. I was lucky to preorder one yesterday, but it went out of stock within seconds.
I hope I'm allowed to post links here, but I found this which shows it working on just about every AUS LTE band I believe, does this confirm the compatibility?
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/AU/asus-rog-phone-2
Until then, I've been using AirCalc and hovernote but I agree would be nice if any app could be in windowed mode, Samsung sure has this figured out.

If you buy something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078RZQJ8D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can attach a mouse and mirror to a hdmi compatible screen.
Here is a playstore link for ya, there's a reddit user on r/KWLP who designs these. He made this one a while ago and I saw it on reddit and really liked it. It's pretty easy to customize the apps and labels.
I've been meaning to change it for a while now actually, only cause currently my "app flow" is using the shortcuts menu/folders, and whatever else I don't have setup I just search for which seems silly to me.
The theme itself is pretty solid though. It used to bug out once in a while visually and needed to be reapplied but that hasn't happened in over a year now. It supposed infinite homepage scrolling (I've had other themes that don't). I'm pretty happy with it lol.
The "hack" function is just a visual element that brings up another visual element, there's no function to it. But recently I made it open Chrome Remote Desktop when you tap it lol.
If you do buy it, just know that you need to email the developer to ask for the unlocked files to customize it. I'm not super familiar with KWLP, not well enough to make my own theme, but editing them isn't too bad at all.
Oh and thanks!! :)
I would just install lawnchair, which is a launcher that works similar to Google's but is more customizable (and open source).
I think you mean iPhones assistive touch feature. ROG phone doesn't have any built in feature like that but you can always download something like that from play store like this app- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch If you don't like this particular app than search for similar one's on play store by typing "assistive touch"
Is that cable you ordered 2.0, 3.0 or, 3.1 usb? Also you will not get hypercharge with any other charge brick besides the official asus hypercharger. Trust me I've spent hours looking. $50+ USD was also wasted. Get a 5A usb 3.1 cable and use the side port for the fastest charging. Here's a link to the one I have. https://www.amazon.com/uni-Charging-Braided-Compatible-MacBook/dp/B07LF1FNRV/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Usb%2Bc%2B100w%2Buni%2Bcable&qid=1613991871&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
yeah, accubattery is alright, but that's just estimate. try this app, check your current capacity and battery percentage.
also, battery is meant to be fully charged at 5749mAh. that's the factory spec
that's good for you then. but there are a lot of people reporting poor battery life. which is kinda hard to believe that battery would be the problem. if you wanna check how's your battery doing, you can check it with this app
also keep in mind that our battery is designed to be charged to around 5800 mAh, not more
I use Second Screen it lets you change the resolution, navigation bar and other things. I know it works because I downloaded it for the exact same reason as you.
Thing about it though, is that it needs higher access to work properly. If you're rooted then it works right out of the box but if you're not then you'll need to use adb on a PC and grant it the permissions it needs. Make sure you read the app description and familiarize yourself with adb if you don't know how to use it.
CN ROM is made for China and has extra restrictions as well as lacks Google apps out of the box.
WW ROM is for outside of China, and it has more customization options, Google Apps, and other tweaks for Western markets.
Phones that say "Tencent" on the back are Chinese models which ship with the CN ROM, and some of the cheaper Chinese models have limited LTE bands tailored for the Chinese market.
Global models all say "Republic of Gamers" on the back and ship with the WW ROM out of the box. They also have much wider LTE band support.
If you want to check, install Device Info HW, open it and go to the System tab, scroll down to "Fingerprint". Does the Fingerprint have CN or WW?
If you have a Tencent phone and the fingerprint is WW, then whoever sold you the phone already flashed the WW ROM to it.
Didn't notice any difference with battery, not big diffrence atleast.
Yes it's one of the purposes, but one I have know have better solution.

In the bottom of BUY NOW it says "sold and shipped by Mobile Advance.
My review is even there under Jose A. Amazon gave $3 credit since I was like the first person to buy it and review. Just leaving that out there.
u/DamarisTan designed a nice bumper case with feedback from Reddit and XDA and is selling it on Amazon. Shipping time varies a bit depending on where you live (I'm in Germany and shipping takes 2 weeks or so, I haven't received mine yet) but it comes with screen protectors and a charge cable so it's worth the wait and the price imo. There are other cases on Amazon from Cresee that will offer good protection and style at a low cost (10 USD or less).
Link to bumper case (or just search for MME case):
Does your phone say "Republic of Gamers" on the back? Also try checking the fingerprint:
To check the fingerprint, install Device Info HW, go to the "System" tab, and scroll down to "Fingerprint". It should say something similar to the below if it's the international ROM:
asus/WW_1001D/ASUS_1001_1.........
Just to test (and seems like a cool game), I purchased via the website (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playdigious.deadcells.mobile&hl=en) and it will auto-install on my ROG2. It works!
The Franco Kernel Manager looks like it costs $3.49. Anyway I apparently already have EX Kernel Manager, but am unsure which user setting to adjust to change vibration strength. Do you know which one to change?
You could download the app Inware from evowizz, which tells you the real specs of your phone, so you can see if your phone is genuine or not.
That's the Chinese version. It might've been converted to a WW fingerprint, but it's definitely not the model that was sold in the US.
To check the fingerprint, install Device Into HW, go to the "System" tab, and scroll down to "Fingerprint". It should say something similar to:
asus/WW_1001D/ASUS_1001_1.........
if it's been converted to the international ROM.
Personally I'd return it. $1500 is already a massive premium for the phone, so there's no point not getting what you paid for. I bought the US 12/512 for around $900 at launch.
I got the PUBG mobile's bag icon as a burn-in. It was visible only when the whole screen is blue.
I would recommend using this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoox.deadpixelfix It could be used as a pixel refresher to avoid burn-in.
Default camera app, manual mode, 48 mpx, 26s exposure, ISO 1600, manual focus to infinity

You can download the app device info hw
Device info hw Then look in the system section In the discription section u see the kernel model And in fingerprint section u can see...well fingerprint
But I think 12 GB variant are mostly WW. But do share with us when u find out.🙂
I always use Screen Stream Mirroring with ease.
The problem by using third party app to mirror the screen tho is the impossibility of internal audio streaming. You will have to use your microphone wich is pretty awkard..
If anyone resolved this problem please let me know.
actually XDA developers came out with just that. It requires some ADB finicking but if you're comfy with that you can get it on your phone with no problem as far as i know.
Here's the pay version:

I don't think the free version has an 120hz setting. Could be wrong.

Use this app to make sure Android is properly recognizing the controller and its button presses. I can't help you further since I don't have a PS4 controller.

Set default in Apps>Default Apps>Phone
Also allow overlay permission for bubblehead.
I'm on T-Mobile and it's working fine.
You can try to force it though.
Paste the following into "ACS URL":
Select the default option under "OTP Pattern"
Tap Apply, and if the window doesn't close hit the back button at the top.
Open Messages from your Home screen, and it should ask you to enable Chat. If it doesn't, give it a day or two and try rebooting your phone.
Hopefully this helps.
I'm guessing you have a flashed CN model? Might have to reflash with a new method.
Alternatively, install SAI from the Play Store, download the Netflix Split APK bundle, and then use SAI to install the ZIP file.
Try using noRoot Firewall to control internet access for the services. It is not "true" firewall, it just uses a VPN trick to connect apps to "fake internet". That works for some apps, but not for all of them.
If it doesn't work for the services, you might have to root your phone to use real firewall.
I know it sounds a little hokey and full of shit but I had this same problem so I went to the play store to find a solution and from what it looks like, this app has actually improved my reception somehow. I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know how it works, but I have tested it in the same problem locations I was having with my calls and whatever it's doing it's working.
Check it out here 👇

Install this apply dark mode then uninstall it. All the above mentioned apps vl be turned into dark mode 👍

Note: I have the pro version of this app as well if normal version didn't work will share an apk with you.
These are the ones everyone here usually recommends. I bought a 3 pack about a year ago and im finally using my 3rd screen protector after months.

I got mine off taobao, but its the same case here on amazon. The Black option.
I wish there was. I checked the OtterBox site and couldn't find a listing for this phone. I did buy and return several cases from Amazon none of which really provided much protection especially for the screen. Currently I use either the Asus twin view screen or a silicone bumper case from Amazon: Orzero Soft TPU Case Compatible for ASUS ROG Phone 2 2019 (Not Fit for 1st Gen), Rubber Elastic Airbag Shock Absorbing Body Protection Phone Case -Crystal Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHC785B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jlirEbEBBR26Y
I bought this clear silicone bumper case on Amazon. Has worked well so far combination with a tempered glass screen protector.

Never heard of an MNML case before your post but judging on the website appearance it is just a clear case? In that case would something like this be what you're after?

I've used a paid app on my Samsung S8+ It's called TwoMonUSB
It's not cheap and it doesn't seem to have great reviews, however it worked great for me when I was using it.
I googled and found the page below, even if that doesn't work could you seen google and try other options, thanks beforehand.
https://techlector.com/check-4g-lte-bands-frequencies-smartphone/
Also this app shows current uses band

Use FiSwitch to see what network you are on while using Google Fi, and also to force a different network on Fi supported phones (useful for me when I was in China).
I'm very interested to hear how well your ROG Phone II worked on Google Fi!
Sorry but even if the phone doesn't support the band 20, you can use 4g. Band 20 is mostly used in rural places. With this app, you can see which band your phone is using that moment.

Just checked the controller mappings of my Left Joy con. It's pretty poor.
(Note: Android uses Xbox gamepads as its standard)
As you can see this is pretty much unusable outside of emulators and the rare Android games that let you manually remap controls.
Right Joy-con is pretty much mapped exactly the same, except instead of Home being mapped to L3 like the Capture button was, it's instead mapped to a "Mode" button I'm not familiar with.
Also, as I said before, you can't use both Joy cons together as one controller since they're treated as separate devices. Even if you do pair both of them to Android they seem to conflict and one of them won't get detected by even emulators.
The only exception is this app, but it requires Root access and seems pretty janky.
