The mod will be installed. The mod only works if you play with Blocklauncher, so you can't use the mod with normal Minecraft.
That guy has no idea what he's talking about. You can play servers on the cracked version using BlockLauncher or the pre-patched one from MCPE Monster (just select xbox version when downloading) - http://mcpe-monster.com/
Download from MCPE Monster (select xbox version) or install BlockLauncher from the Play Store

In version 0.15.10 does not have native support for shaders. You need to use an alternative launcher to be able to use. You can use the Block Launcher or Tool Box. In version 0.16 (which is in beta now) already have native support for shaders so if you want you can enter the beta test to try them. But I have to tell you that the shaders for MCPE are not the same level of MCPC. As for texture (Faithful), works well in this version. Make sure you installed a compatible version. My last recommendation is that you extract the texture. Texture Folder works better than zip files in MCPE. To make sure you have installed the right way make sure that the path the texture is correct. You must have the following path "games/com.mojang/resource_packs/TextureName/resorces.json"
this is sooo hard to find information on. luckily some 15 yr old kid helped me and hopefully you figured it out already too but the actual app Minecraft PE can't do external servers for some reason. But the app BlockLauncher(free) that loads up Minecraft in the background and then is able to customize it can.
Just download BlockLauncher(free) and install it. If you already have everything else already set-up in the regular Minecraft app like it sounds like you do then you're all good to go. Just open Blocklauncher and select your server from the external IP and wa-la, you're connected.
I searched for 5 days straight for a solution and then he told me, "oh ur on mobile. it won't work. use blocklauncher." which I already had installed and as soon as I did it worked flawlessly... now I just have to figure out how to implement mobs, should only take a week of searching forums I guess.
" Mods are also available for the Bedrock Edition via jailbreaking on iOS and through apps such as "BlockLauncher", "MCPE Master", or "Toolbox for Minecraft: PE" on Android devices. Mods are not available for the Legacy Console Edition.
An official way of creating mods is available for the Bedrock Edition called Add-ons."

They exist, but I have no idea how advanced the mods tend to be.
Yep, it is.
As far as mods on bedrock are concerned:
> Mods are also available for Bedrock Edition via mcpedl.com on iOS and through apps such as "BlockLauncher (not updated)", "MCPE Master (not updated)", or "Toolbox for Minecraft: PE (currently only semi-functional)" on Android devices. Mods are not available for the Legacy Console Edition.
The only bedrock version that is moddable is mcpe:
There are 3 mod launchers i know of:
Blocklauncher , the OG mod launcher, was the first one to ever exist. Somewhat unstable and the modding api is pretty mediocre.
Inner Core , the best mod launcher out there. Has an ingame mod downloader, is pretty stable and has the best mods / modding api.
Toolbox for mcpe , is basically a hack client with a modding api. There barely are any mods for this one.
Keep in mind that the last time i played mcpe was 3 years ago, stuff might have changed idk
Install BlockLauncher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zhuoweizhang.mcpelauncher
It's under a different name. And, it crashes on a lot of devices.
There are mods for MCPE: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zhuoweizhang.mcpelauncher
By using a Debug mod or a coordinate mod.
If you download Block launcher for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zhuoweizhang.mcpelauncher) then download Coordinate mod (https://www.dropbox.com/s/iyvh96jjprrudaf/Multiplayer%20Coordinates%20Mod.js?dl=0) you'll have them in the upper left corner.
MCPE Master (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.groundhog.mcpemaster) also works but it barely ever works on my Nexus 6P
This site will tell you all about it: http://mcpe4u.com/coordinates-mod/
You can add mods to mcpe with blocklauncher.
