Myfitnesspal has gone downhill a lot since it was acquired by Under Armour. I just started using this app:

but can't give much of a review on it yet. In between MFP and this app I just kept track in an excel spreadsheet using google to find nutrition facts, which worked surprisingly well. I may go back to it if this new app is a hassle.

You can also suggest apps to her. I suffer from anxiety and daylio helped me a lot with recognizing why I was feeling the way I was and also why I was over eating, mental health is a big key in overeating and if she's struggling with anxiety she should do things to fix that as well. The other app is a calorie counting app with honestly has helped me so much, it seems awful and annoying to get into but you just don't realize how badly you're eating until you are forced to break down every meal.

I'd suggest rewards for : Eating well, Exercise, Meditation (for anxiety), Logging moods in a mood app / diary (for anxiety), Logging foods, Being under daily calorie limit

Good luck dude and I just want to say it's great to see someone like you who's so supportive and encouraging to their SO, just remind her it's ok to have off days and to just keep going.

Exercise is important for longevity and will increase fat loss. Cut the refined foods out if you haven't yet, especially sugar.
