Cataclysm - Dark Days Ahead. It's pretty good with a keyboard, but not sure how well the touch controls are to work with
Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead It's a survival roguelike set in post-apocalyptic world, very detailed gameplay-vise with tons of craft and iteractions: has infections, parasites, mutations, cybernetics, transport etc. Also have some crazy staff for fun. Like an ability to start a game as a masochistic BDSM slave. Or a schizophrenic clown. It's free and open source. Officially available on windows, linux and mac. Has unofficial port to android and ios.

An its best to be played on a tablet. An you might want to disable the persistent shortcuts to disappear after one turn.
An you can access your phone keyboard by pressing the back buttion. <| like that. So you can technically do everything and access everything.
Cataclysm dda has a pretty good port with context specific controls.

Really? Are we using the same app? I have no trouble with performance at all. The app looks identical to the PC version, especially in landscape mode.
It has initiative touch controls for movement and context sensitive keyboard commands for literally every tile in the game.

This is the official version. Scroll down until you see "additional information" (on pc at least, idk about mobile) - stable is may 2020, experimental is end of september.

It's an ancient unofficial port, not updated in years. More downloads because it has been around for longer than official port and isn't split into stable/experimental branches.
They both are, technically, as the other is an earlier version done before they started using APKs, according to the store page; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MichaelDavies.CataclysmDDA&hl=en_US but the CleverRaven one is definitely the more up-to-date version, as the MD version is only on 0.C experimental, two years out of date.
Cataclysm: DDA for Android is in experimental version, but in constant update.

CDDA and This war of mine can be run in full keyboard mode.
CDDA might take some loading time and the graphics/UI might not be too decent, but it's openworld with mod/texture pack supports. Also there's a subreddit community for it. r/cataclysmdda/
The Store version seems to have been last updated in February. I wouldn't call that "being updated", when the desktop version has multiple releases per day.
If anyone is after an open world zombie survival game with a little bit more depth, then I highly suggest Cataclysm DDA.

Yes, it's the Android version, it's available on the Google Play Store and on Github
The best part about the Android version is that you can install tilesets, soundpacks, mods, just like on the PC version and, depending on your phone's/tablet's keyboard (the Android version recommends Hacker's Keyboard), you can activate it with the back button, allowing you to use every function in the game, whilst also allowing you to store it as a shortcut in the bottom bar. It's not updated as often as the experimental versions, but you can update it yourself.
If you do get it on your smartphone/tablet, make sure to check the settings (there's on Android-only section) and to change the terminal size so that you can fit more stuff or make text more readable on your screen if it's too small.

I'd recommend fiddling with the screen size. Disabling the mini map or making it super small and adjusting text size.
