Weird, maybe try switching up the order in which you perform those actions, don't know if uninstalling it first would make a difference or not, but hey it's worth a try.
Here's something related:
I know you've tried some of those steps already, but could it be something with an update?
Your Play store is either in Russia, Belarus, or Vietnam. If it's in Belarus or Russia, you're out of luck, at least until the war is over. If you're in Vietnam like me, then the solution is pretty simple. Use a VPN, then clear all the data from your app store, then search for the game. If that still doesn't work, use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercell.clashofclans
It's there: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercell.clashofclans
Is your version of Android too old for it now?

You have to consider it from my perspective... how many posts a day do we get from people announcing that PEKKAs now chase butterflies despite the fact that it's been out there since early June? The majority of this subreddit doesn't notice things for months.
Looking at the web version of the Play Store ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercell.clashofclans ), it's still showing the latest version as 14.93.6, but it just updated the last update date to today. Clearly an update is staged and in the process of going live. Could be SuperCell is rolling it out slowly/regionally to see if there are any unintended side effects before lighting it up for everyone.
It depends on a few different factors. Is this a school chromebook with enterprise settings? If so the google play store is probably disabled. CoC is available in the web store as well as on google play. You can go to the link here to find it and see if the download is allowed. Chromebooks have been able to play android apps for sometime now. To answer your second question you can find quite a few different emulators on the play store. There are endless options if you install linux on your chromebook (which is now a native feature) for emulators. Hope that was helpful! Let me know if you have any questions or need any other info.
I found that most are free in Google play store.

I personally believe that all mentioned games are still popular as in 2016.
Hi everybody!
After four month I finally finished my first game :)
It is a little arcade game with for modes.
You can unlock new skins and choose between two styles to control the world, plus you can adjust the sensitivity of each control typ.
If you like this kind of games, I would be super glad if you give it a try and tell me what I can make better :)
My question:
What do you guys think about app trailer which doesn't show explicit ingame material, but have a skit or something, like here .
Cause I consider to make something like this.
Of course nothing with a celebrity or fancy CGI, but maybe a stop motion clip which explains the game.
Or is this to playful ?
And thanks in advance to everybody who takes the time :)
Some great suggestions here, just wanted to add one more:
Do something like what Clash of Clans does and put a character (from your app icon) in the foreground and corner of your screenshots. It's fairly simple and looks much more professional

> I think everyone's expectations of mobiles games are pretty low as it is.
The problem is that the mobile gaming platform suffers from a fairly vicious cycle.
For example, Square Enix has made the effort to port many of some of their old school favorites to the mobile platform but they do exactly what people asked for: Charge me full price for a game and give me the full game with no IAP. You could buy FF6 for 16 dollars and play it on your phone. It's frequently mentioned as the best Final Fantasy game.
And no one is buying it. It has 4.5 stars and 22,000 votes.
Compare that to Clash of Clans.
That's the de facto IAP game most people think of when it comes to the mobile platform. 4.5 stars. 22 million votes.
Or even Game of War that people make fun of for last year's Super Bowl boob ads. 4 stars, a million votes.
People wouldn't even pay 20 fuckin cents for Thomas Was Alone. 20 cents dude. You think you'd make a living off 20 cents for programming a game?
If you're going to keep asking developers to make real games for the mobile platform and charge you full game price for them and then not buy it while millions of people will pay 100 dollars to build an army faster, the developers are going to charge people 100 dollars to build an army faster because people complaining on the internet ain't worth shit.
Edit: So I keep getting replies because people are so focused on my choice of the FF6 example and people mentioning emulators. First off, you're missing the point because you got caught up in FF6. Second off, you emulator people are part of the problem and for some reason, don't even get that you are! Let me spell it out for you: You are stealing. Full stop.
There are two possible legitimate arguments for piracy and both of them are arguable. Yes, an emulator is piracy. Sorry, I just rocked your world. Settle down.
The first argument you can make for pirating software is that the piece of software you are pirating isn't legally available through any channels where you live. This is a grey area. There are some developers, especially game developers (see the Extra Credits guys, highly recommended), that will absolutely not mind and will encourage you to pirate their game if you cannot get their game legally where you live. They would rather you see their work than not because they put a lot of effort into it and it's meant to be enjoyed. But not all developers will agree with this sentiment.
The second argument is for archival purposes or for abandonware. The creators/developers of the piece of software you are pirating is no longer in business and no one can purchase the software anywhere. Most developers at this point probably will not care or mind, but i'm sure somewhere, there's some guy that will care.
Final Fantasy 6 does not fall under either of these categories. Square Enix is not defunct nor do I know of Final Fantasy being banned anywhere except maybe in some remote ultra conservative regime. In which case, hope you don't get arrested for reading a video game forum. You downloading FF6 and playing it on an emulator and promoting doing so is actively condoning stealing. And you are part of the problem.
And finally, for you really fanatical weirdos that keep arguing about the color palette about the PC/mobile port of FF6: If a few shades of grey, red, and green made your classic game go from amazing to horrifically unplayable trash, either your game was originally unplayable trash or you're blowing things way out of proportion and grasping for straws. What do you think, boys?
Hello, we are Nsouls. We DO NOT USE any of these permissions ourselves. As you have pointed out very well, we don't need them at all. However, we use well known advertising modules(Tapjoy, Unity Ads etc.) that require Device ID. We have a Google Play Share feature, which includes Photos/Media/Files permission. We use Google Analytics tool which needs Wi-Fi connection information, and we use Critterism(Auto Crash Reporting Tool), which also needs a number of permissions. You could check this page for more information. We DO NOT USE any of the permissions you listed ourselves. Other famous games(like Clash of Clans from Supercell) also use Photos and Wi-Fi permissions.

>"Lifestyle" games ... [including] Brain Age, Nintendogs, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Personal Trainer, and some basic puzzle games ... now thrive on mobile devices, where the new generation of non-gamers are.
Do they, though?
Wii Sports is nothing like Clash of Clans... or anything you can get on your phone. It wouldn't work.
I wouldn't say mobile totally replaced Nintendo. Rather, Nintendo got boring and a new product happened to appear.
People want an iPad more than a Wii, but that doesn't mean the iPad has 'Wii Sports 2'.
The problem with lifestyle games is that everyone's already played them. Once you try virtual dogs, it won't be as fun the second time. There's nothing Nintendo could do to prevent this, besides turning the dogs into holographic hyper-realistic dragons or something.
And as I've mentioned, a completely unrelated activity (watching Netflix on an iPad) might be a reason not to buy Nintendogs when you would have in the past.
>Rhythm Heaven is a good example of where Nintendo should go with casual games. It feels like fun entertainment rather than some extension of life.
That's what Nintendo always does. On the Wii, we have stuff like Mario Kart and NSMB and Smash and Kirby, even Zelda. They're easy to get into, like Nintendo games have always been.
The problem is that non-gamers wouldn't care about them. No matter how light and fun a game is, it would always be a useless toy for kids and manchildren.
Nintendo needed to push their games to be more serious than that - with the grey logo, sleek controllers and interface, music in their games that sounds straight out of Teleshopping, and a focus on less childish activities like exercise.
The 'kids and manchildren' stigma has mostly gone away, partly thanks to Nintendo, partly thanks to PlayStation (bringing in more mature software than what Nintendo and SEGA had), and partly thanks to phone games. The Wii's ideas may have grown stale, but I don't think Nintendo needs them anymore.
What they do need is games for the sake of entertainment, as you suggest. This isn't a novelty though. The Wii U has them, the Wii had loads of them, the GameCube did too.
A gimmick should be brought in to enable unique game mechanics, but this software doesn't need to be lifestyle focused - it just needs to be fun and original. Maybe a certain controller would work really well with a certain 'lifestyle' game idea, but it should be done with fun entertainment in mind (like Mario or Zelda).
If I had to guess a few:
I'm not sure what else to suggest, but I haven't played much else to know unless there was more info.

There are many game generes, if you haven't ever played videogames I would suggest you don't spend any money if you don't know which ones you are into, if you have a mobile phone and a PC don't spend money on a console yet.
There are lots of really good free games for you to try out which can also be played online if you want to play with your grandson.
On mobile I recomend trying:
Clash of clans (Can play online)
Clash royale (Can play online)
On PC games tend to be more complex and hard for the uninitiated so here are some recomendations for you to begin with.
Spelunky (Cannot play online)
Fortnite (Can play online) I put this one in even though it can be a bit harder because you can play online and your grandson may be able to help you.
Honorable mentions:
Minecraft (Can play online) I think this is one of the BEST games you'll find out there specially for newcomers because it doesn't overwhelm you with stuff at the beginning. I left it out because you have to pay for it but I've put a link to a pirated version and you can buy it later if you like it my most strong recomendation.
Destiny2 (Can play online) If you want to visit breathtaking and immersive worlds, this is one of the best looking free games out there, left it out because it is way more complex than the previous games. Having said so, if you grandson plays it I'm sure (s)he can teach you. Warframe is very similar to Destiny2 and is also great but it is even harder to learn.
If you end up linking videogames, on PC you have many platforms to buy games (similar to the play store on mobile). Many big videogames companies have their own and they usually offer some free games and free trials for you to try out.
Here are two videogame platfors where you'll be able to get some free games / free trials:
you mentioned the games:

Try the link on your device. Does it come up and say your device isn't compatible?
Glad I could help. Your game seems pretty close to completion and you would be able to update it with the new mode afterwards. Or maybe you've already published it.
Yeah, it seems that the interaction with the destroyed tiles and building walls is hard to explain as it's because of a computational constraint and it's a minor, yet complicated, detail.
As for the kingdom mode, it sounds like an extended game of adventure with time freeze. I'm not entirely sure where you would go with that though. It great to have a persistent thing that you own. I think it makes players more inclined to comeback and play. Though the restriction of trickling resources from wins sounds like it'll be a slow climb. I think this is heading more towards Clash of Clans (if you haven't heard of it here it is). You're defending against enemies, while trying to build your base, but in Clash of Clans you can gain resources passively. I'm not sure if that's what you intended and be sure to explore the mechanics, but I would like to suggest a horde mode.
I think a horde mode sounds really interesting to play with, as you have like a tower defence sort of thing. My train of thought is that you start off with a base energy pool, and you get a larger and larger pool as you reach higher waves to compensate for the amount of enemies. So you'd be building up walls, casting spells and firing cannons, which I think would be frantic and fun. Also, I think most of the systems needed already exist in your game and need some tweaking to get the game mode up and running. On the flip side, the cons would be that there isn't as much variation, so once you've mastered it, there isn't much left to it. That's just a thought, so you can take it or leave it.
On another note, I have a suggestion for the spells that I thought of recently. I didn't like how the spells intruded that much in my screen. Since this is a mobile game, I don't think it'd be best to place it on the right side. From what I can see, since most people are right handed, they would be doing a lot with their right hand, so if they had to also select a spell, then tap that target area, that would take some time. So, my suggestion is to move it to the left side where you can select the spells with your free left hand and quickly follow up with a tap on the target with the right hand. Also, you could make the spell selector thing vertical instead of horizontal, as it doesn't intrude into the play area and instead takes a sliver of the border/outer edge/peripherals. That could just be my personal preference though.
Once again, I'm glad you found my feedback constructive and thanks for updating me on your game and my questions.
"Clash of Clans" is perfect for this. "Clash Royale" is nice too, but it does require a bit more concentration comparatively.
"Star Wars: KOTOR" is also great for this as the combat is realtime-paused. Hack and Slash RPGs like "Mage and Minions" or "Bards Tale" also work wonderfully with a podcast on in the background.
Puzzle/Strat games like "Hearthstone" or "Lara croft GO" are also fantastic and dont require too much concentration.

Ignoring, for a moment that that isn't how supercell has historically handled this sort of thing...
It's probably not hundreds. Your figure of 3%, and the publicly stated figure from mid-2014 of 800 million means that there are probably 24 million of these devices in circulation.
Assuming, since the apple store does not show downloads, that we can use reviews as a gauge to how many downloads there are - we'll guess 1.3 million. It sounds a very low to me for a company raking in millions per day (especially with 12 million android downloads), but still puts the number of affected users around 40,000 using your 3% figure. Assuming anywhere near as many iOS as andoid users, especially since clash came to iOS first - it's a lot closer to a half million affected, again using your 3% figure. So, out of somewhere between 40,000 and 400,000 people, this guy is the only redditor that received the warning.
If you want/need to believe this guy that much, there isn't anything I can do to help you.
I would suggest trying to check with supercell to verify, if you are concerned that this will affect you. Or, log in - see if you get the notification!
