You can install the Gear VR version of Samsung VR by first installing a VPN app from the Play Store (such as Cloud VPN) and setting your location to the US (by clicking on that little globe icon at the top left). Then you can open the Oculus app on your phone and Samsung VR should show up if you search for it (if it doesn't, close the Oculus app completely (swipe it away) and open it again). Once you're done don't forget to open up the Cloud VPN app again and disconnect.
I'll try to get you a link to the latest version of the mobile companion app as soon as the spam filter stops hating me.
EDIT: Here we go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cduzgtfm07hdtkz/com.samsung.android.video360.apk?dl=0 (v1.041)
In case you're not familiar with Dropbox, you can skip signup and just click on the "No, thanks. Continue to view →" link.
It's all so much easier if you just use the "Samsung VR" app instead. If you're not in the US you can get it to show up on the Oculus store by using something like "Cloud VPN" and setting your location to the US (by clicking on that little globe at the upper left). Do this on your phone after closing the Oculus store.
To get your 360° stereoscopic clip to play properly in Samsung VR, just append "_3dv" to the file name (for other formats, go here and scroll down to the "Video Types" section).
You're very welcome. This Gear-Vr-Daily website recommends Cloud VPN I on the other hand, have been using ZenMate on my Chrome and it's free and quite fast.
I used CloudVPN and it worked perfectly on my Google 10inch tablet.

Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.bypass.vpn and then set the country to France and check if you got the update. Worked for me
