I'm the developer of Dodge Drop, a game where you must fall to the bottom while avoiding most of the obstacles. It's free with no ads or IAPs. In the Survival and Speedup Survival modes, you fall through randomly generated levels that get tougher the farther you fall. You can also play random levels by selecting "Custom Level" and then "Generate Random" and then "Play".

I'm the developer of Dodge Drop, a game where you must fall to the bottom while avoiding most of the obstacles. It's simple and easy enough for my 3-year-old second cousin to play, and the later levels are challenging for older kids. It features lots of short levels and many game modes, so it can be played from a few minutes to a half hour. And if you don't like dying you can turn on Easy Mode or do the Time Challenge. If you or the families have Android devices, there is an Android version as well. If you want, I can PM you a standalone version.

There's also Indie Game Hunt, where you can filter by the type of pay model by selecting "Select License".

An evasion game with lots of modes and obstacles! It features cooperative mode, ten types of obstacles, 27 levels, Fast Mode, Easy Mode, a level generator, Party Mode, Time Challenge, Survival, and Speedup Survival. Narrowly miss enemy blocks to break them.
Changes this week:
Added more variety to Party Mode.
Improved the camera. It now zooms out when players drift apart, and no longer gets stuck at the bottom.
Fixed the bug where the music played slow at the beginning of each level in the WebGL version.
My current major goal is improving Party Mode in the AirConsole version. What would you like to see in Party Mode? What would make it very fun to play with friends? Currently it's a pretty simple mode where you race each other to the bottom of randomly generated levels and where you get slowed down instead of dying. Is Race Mode a more appropriate name, or is there a different more appropriate name?
I'm working with an artist to improve the look of Dodge Drop. Feel free to answer my questions about it here.
I'd appreciate any feedback plus what you think of the new features plus optionally I'd love to see the levels that you can come up with (this is only feasible with the browser version). If you enjoy the game, please consider joining /r/DodgeDrop, where you can share levels, provide further feedback, and view updates. Does your controller work for controlling the player?

Hello r/Webgames! Thank you for playing my game!
Here is some extra information:
The Chrome conundrum
Chrome recently stopped support for the Unity web player. I suggest using Firefox for this game. If you use Chrome, you'll end up using the inferior WebGL player, which doesn't properly play sounds, has unnecessary scroll bars, and scrolls the web page when you press the arrow keys.

There are no changes this week. I'm in the middle of working with an artist to improve the look of Dodge Drop. We're going with an Art Deco style. Here is a mockup.

I'm the developer of Dodge Drop (Browser, Android), an evasion game where you must fall to the bottom while avoiding most of the obstacles. You can break enemy blocks by narrowly missing them. The levels are nice and short, and you can easily play a round or two of the Survival modes within a few minutes.
I also recommend the games by /u/SnoutUp, Iron Snout in particular. In Iron Snout, you're a badass pig beating up wolves. It's kind of like One Finger Death Punch.
If you have an Android, I recommend the games by /u/nickervision. They are fast paced and are some of the most popular games I've seen in /r/AndroidGaming.

Changes this week:
All changes this week are for the AirConsole version.
Increased the maximum number of supported players to eight.
Made it so players can't collide with each other.
Made it so players start at the exact same spot as each other.
Added an marker to each player, so you can distinguish them when they are bunched up.
Note: I made the mistake of downloading a patch for Unity, which messed up the web player versions. The Unity web player version doesn't work at all, and the WebGL and AirConsole version plays trippy music. This should be fixed when the next minor version of Unity comes out.
My next major goal is improving Party Mode in the AirConsole version. What would you like to see in Party Mode? What would make it very fun to play with friends? For Dodge Drop (web, Android), I replaced the relaxing music with upbeat music. To hear the relaxing music, select Options and then Relaxing Music. Or you can listen to both below:
New music: Hypothermia by Creo
Old music: Light Latt by Robson Cozendey
For the new music I took out the first half and the ending to make it loopable. I can post the loopable version if you want. I'm interested in your opinion on how well the new music fits my game, especially in comparison to the old music.

For my Android game, Dodge Drop, I've been working on an email to send to the press, and I've implemented some of the great suggestions since last time:
Make the email short and to the point.
Add a press release.
Is there anything I can do to improve the email? Is there something wrong with the game itself? What are some good websites to email first? What's a good opening line? I can think of lots of good things to say about the game, but I have trouble coming up with an opening line.
Here is the updated email:
Hello <Review Website> staff,
Dodge Drop is a game where you must fall to the bottom while avoiding most of the obstacles. It features ten types of obstacles and many game modes, and it is free with no ads or IAPs.
I would be very happy if you would cover Dodge Drop. I enjoy having my game covered, and I believe my game will be very entertaining for you and your readers.

Dodge Drop was largely developed by one person, with Gavin Colahan brought in to do the sound. My primary goal with this game is to make gamers happy. That is why I released it for free with no ads. Also, I added Fast Mode, Easy Mode, and the Survival modes so that the game will appeal to a wide demographic.
Aside from the coverage, feel free to send me additional feedback about the game or this email, or let me know if there is anything else you need.

It features ten types of obstacles and many game modes, and it is free with no ads or IAPs. It appeals to both hardcore and casual gamers alike. It can be played in short bursts or longer intervals, and it has high replay value. Google Play Store reviewers describe the game as being, “Simple and fun” and, “Very fun”.

Also, they added Fast Mode, Easy Mode, and the Survival modes so that the game will appeal to a wide demographic.
Dodge Drop has been receiving weekly updates since its release in September 2014, including new modes, obstacles, and levels, and it is finally ready to be reviewed by the press. The only major change the developer plans on making in the future is replacing the current music with pumping music similar to the music in the game VVVVVV.

Fixed levels not saving on mobile.
Changes I'm considering:
Making the score more visible for normal mode.
Having it so when the player destroys a Laser, the Laser's Shooter also gets destroyed. I'm slightly worried this will make things too easy.
Adding more high scores to the Kongregate version. I'd add them in a heartbeat if there were a way to reset Kongregate high scores.

Also, currently Player 1 starts out in front giving him an advantage for Party Mode. Should I make it so players can't collide with each other and then place them at the same starting position? The most important change since the previous week is I try selling the game in the subject line. An article I read here stated that that is often times all that journalists are guaranteed to read. Novel Spin Games' primary goal with the game is to make gamers happy. That is why they released it for free with no ads. Also, they added levels of varying difficulty, Fast Mode, Easy Mode, and the Survival modes so that the game will appeal to a wide demographic.
Dodge Drop is available on the web and on Android. The web version features local co-op for up to four players and Party Mode, where players can race each other to the bottom. The Android version features both tilt and touch control options.
All of Dodge Drop's levels were made using the in-game level editor. Players of the web version can use the level editor to easily create and share their own levels. The level editor is text-based, so all players have to do to share their levels is copy and paste them.
Dodge Drop features both designed and procedurally generated elements. Most of the campaign levels are designed. The Survival and Speedup Survival modes feature procedural generation, and the level editor has a “Generate Random” button, so players can play a seemingly infinite number of levels.
Dodge Drop has been receiving weekly updates since its release in August 2014, including new modes, obstacles, and levels, and it is finally ready to be reviewed by the press. Looking for advice for how to improve the look and feel of my game, Dodge Drop.
I'd be very happy if you would take a look at my game, Dodge Drop (web, Android, video, screenshots), and give me some advice on how to improve its look and feel. I'm not much of an artist, and I have no budget, but I still welcome all sorts of advice because it's good to know what options there are. I admittedly haven't tried using a color palette yet because I'm having trouble finding one with only bright colors that has 15 distinct colors. I'm also currently using shaders from Unity 4.

I'm not sure if I would want to do this because part of the fun of the game is bumping into each other and I would have to flatten each player to 1/4 its previous height.

This week I added loading screens and removed the laggy pink warning in the Android version. /u/IsmoLaitela created a fun bouncy level here. This inspired me to create two bouncy levels, Lollipops and Launch. I started sending my game to review sites. I welcome any advice on this matter.

Here's the basic email I'm sending out for my Android game, Dodge Drop. I've sent it to two websites so far and have gotten zero responses. I'd like some feedback before sending the email to more websites. Is there anything I can do to improve the email? Is there something wrong with the game itself? What are some good websites to email first?
Hello <Review Website> staff,
First off let me say thank you for covering lesser-known games. You are doing a great service to gamers and game developers.
I would be very happy if you would cover Dodge Drop. I enjoy having my game covered, and I believe my game will be very entertaining for you and your readers.
Dodge Drop is a fun evasion game where you must fall to the bottom while avoiding most of the obstacles. Descend through the 23 levels, encountering ten types of obstacles, including an obstacle that lets you flip gravity. Fast Mode and Easy Mode ensure that the game appeals to all skill levels. See how fast you can complete the levels in Time Challenge, or see how high of a score you can get in Survival and Speedup Survival. You can control the ball by tilting, or you can opt to control the ball by touching the screen. Play through an endless number of levels using the level generator. Easily tweet your high scores and share your high scores on Facebook. The game is free with no ads, no IAPs, no special permissions, and it runs in Immersive Mode.

Here's a quick gameplay video.
Here's a longer gameplay video of the web version.
Regards,

This week I got Twitter integration working on the web version and got rid of overlapping obstacles.

This week made it so players can post their high scores to Facebook. I'm still trying to figure out how to get Twitter integration working on the web version.

This week I added Twitter integration. For some reason, it only works in the Android version, however.

Also also, any advice on the messages I should allow players to tweet? Currently a message looks like this:
> I got a #SpeedupSurvivalRecord of 566 in #DodgeDrop!
