You can play both Fallout 1 and 2 on Android using ExaGear RPG and the game files from GOG. It even comes with instructions on how to update the games with the official and unofficial versions. From experience it works: https://imgur.com/a/VtJib
Hi, I would like to share with you the way to run the game on your Android phone/tablet:
Notes:
a) The version you use should run without CD
b) There is a 3 day trial in the app. After that you have two options. Buy the control scheme permanently (7$ if I remember correctly) or use subscription model (monthly payments).
Found it, it's called ExaGear:

Be warned, like all emulators, this can be buggy and downright unusable at times. I used it on my Huawei Media pad and it works fine, but YMMV.
I just tried to install Fallout 2 and it works without root.
Can confirm: Intro video is there, character creation screen as well.
I installed Fallout 2 on a normal/unrooted NVIDIA Shield Tablet. I'll give you the short version, this is how I did it:
Buy/Download Fallout 2 and install it on your PC, I used the (discontinued?) GOG version
Create a directory on your external SD card
X:\ExaGear\
Copy the entire Fallout 2 directory to the external SD card
X:\ExaGear\Fallout 2\
Download and install the Android app ExaGear RPG(free trial)
Start ExaGear RPG, if everything is ok it should let you start Fallout 2
Easy enough.
You can install it differently. Some more games are supported, this guide should help:
[Guide+Video]How to Play Classic PC Games on Android with Exagear RPG/Strategies
War never changes, lone wanderer, good luck and godspeed!
You can run Fallout 1 and 2 on Android devices too (preferably a tablet, because of all the tiny text).
You'll need to get an app called ExaGear RPG. And of course you'll need the original game files. Instructions here.
If you have a fairly strong tablet you can get Exagear RPG. Its an absurdly powerful emulator that lets you play windows games, and it has official support for Fallouts 1 & 2, Might & Magic, and as of late; Arcanum and Jagged Alliance 2. It has a free 3 day trial; but if you spend like...6.79 dollars at most for a "control" scheme, You don't get nagged about it anymore.

You can play a lot of Windows games in it too; which while not in full speed would definitely run better than using Dosbox, booting Windows 98, and then playing the game from there.

You need to have the Diablo Game files to add seperately. Also, google "exagear xda" or something along those lines to find a forum post about how to get various games to work. Diablo 2 IIRC needs a dsound.dll or something like that to work.
The app controls are ridiculously expensive, but I just bought one and I'm happy with my purchase.
Those are links to ExaGear on Android. That's actually quite impressive. I didn't realise there was an Android version. Reading the Google Play Store page for the app it's free for three days so people can try it out which is awesome.
However, it still doesn't demonstrate how ExaGear works on the Raspberry Pi.
Look, my point is this:
Instead of telling us how great your product is on the Raspberry Pi, why don't you just show us?
ExaGear Desktop on the Pi sounds really good, it almost sounds too good to be true, so I am skeptical about it. The fact that you won't show videos of its performance and instead keep posting these fake blog articles every few weeks makes me even more skeptical.
If ExaGear Desktop really works as well as you claim, create videos of it running those games I just listed and show those videos on the product website.
This guide OP linked mentions installing a "DOS patch" over the GOG install, but I'm not sure how it works.
I've played around with my GOG install and the ExaGear RPG app but I couldn't get the controls right, so I'll probably ty DosBox when I have the time.
While it has been stated and noted by many followers of this subreddit there will (most likely) be no android port, but has anyone manage to make it work using exagear apps? Is there anyway to make it work? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eltechs.erpg&hl=en
This is running an android though the Exagear App, which The Chromebook Plus is capable of running without any alterations...
You have to download Exagear RPG from Google play and install it on your tablet/phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eltechs.erpg&hl=en
Install Diablo 2 with the Lord of Destruction expansion pack on your PCa)
Put dsound.dll to Diablo 2 folder
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/e7d7e833d946/Sounds%20DLL/ExaGear%20Strategies/2.0.4/
Copy the Diablo 2 folder to the ExaGear folder in your device internal storage (/sdcard/exagear/)
Run Exagearb) and run the main executable
So just to clarify, I'm gonna try this when I get home, and if it works then you probably shouldn't go around saying "nope" to questions you might not know the answers to /u/ryanmercer .
Reposting from a previous time someone asked this:

Already been done. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eltechs.erpg&hl=en
