https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en <- test it. And also get it wired if possible.
Try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
It'll test the connection speed of your Chromecast. The CCU supports 5 GHz; if your router supports it, you can usually turn it on.
Have you tried something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
Which will allow you to cast and run a speed test on the CCU that's providing you have an Android device, I'm not sure if anything similar exists for iOS
I think it was. I just remembered changing the HDMI ports for the Chromecast recently, which is 90 degrees facing another direction. I just tested with this app, and found out that small change costed me half the bandwidth.
thank you!
I found this helpful https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast . I wanted to test the speed with the internet, due to some youtube 1080p videos, the tool doesn't have the possibility to test LAN/wifi speeds.
You can test the speed directly on the Chromecast using an app such as this one.
I found it useful for testing the speed of my powerline adapters.
Speedtest the CC. If you get less than 10 Mbit or otherwise inconsistent speeds then you probably have a wifi issue.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidinspain.speedcast (no ads but always crashes for me)
Also try the wall socket/AC instead of USB power.
install "Internet Speedcast" app in your smartphone and then use it to measure the speed in your Chromecast.
In the app, there will be a button to check speed then you need to select the Chromecast ( similar to casting youtube ), then you will be able to see speed your CCU is getting.

I use these ones and get 4K https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0734B71N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_h2s5Fb762Y255 I had to change sockets until I found a decent one near the router which would give a strong enough signal. You could plug a laptop in where the CCU is and run a speed test or there's a Chromecast speed test app which is pretty useful https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast Finally, tp-link have a network monitoring app which you can use to check speeds.
Use this app to check if you get more than 25Mbps as a download speed on the Chromecast. If not make sure you're connected to the 5Ghz network or wire the Chromecast to your router.
Good question. I only found one app here to do a speed test in the Chromecast. Trying to think other solution.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
If you have android phone.
What does the signal strength look like on the chromecast home screen?
You might want to tey this too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
If that all looks good, I'd try swapping the chromecast. If the problem follows the Chromecast I'd factory reset it.
If the problem follows the TV, and if possible. I'd switch the atvs physical locations to see if it's the hardware or the location.
Interference does not need to be on WiFi. Any digital wireless device uses 2.4ghz, including BT and wireless keyboards mice, wireless subwoofers, etc.
Also what. Channel are you on? The channel also determined the bandwidth available
Also please stop comparing to speedsters on your phone. That will only show you the max available. You need to run the same speed test 3 or 4 times on the Chromecast to determine the true speed.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
And use airflow.
speed on the laptop does not help with the chromecast, because the chromecast connects to the youtube video itself bypassing the laptop. if the chromecast has bad wifi, your quality will suffer. you need to do a speedtest on the chromecast. anything could interfere with the wifi on your chromecast, even its position behind the tv

There are android apps that can test the Chromecast's connection speed:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
Check one of those apps out and see if the network connection is ok.
Use this app to diagnose speed issues: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
I have the same issue so bought an Ethernet adaptor for my Chromecast and now get significantly less buffering from YouTube and Plex.
Your wifi sucks behind the tv? Something's blocking the signal?
Run a speed test on your Chromecast
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
I am using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en
It essentially just tells the Chromecast to open the website Fast.com on its internal browser.
This app exists, Speedcast for Chromecast :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=fr&gl=US
Huh that's weird, it used to be able to do that.
Ok try this instead
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
In the play store. Search for chromecast speed test.
EDIT :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
routerul e http://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/TL-WDR3600.html
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en ?
This one only this one gives correct internet speed. Check the link below
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
I use this app. Quite good!
I just found this app. I don't know how reliable it is, but give it a try to see if what it says makes sense.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast - ads
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidinspain.speedcast - no ads but always crashes for me
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
Download this on your phone and run it what does it say?
What kind of speeds do you get on CC? You can use this app to test.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
Hi, I tried different apps for android phones (like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidinspain.speedcast) but none of them seems to work right or to work at all.
The best solution I found to test Chromecast internet speed is through AirFlow (https://airflow.app/) installed on a pc.
Inside the app you connect the chromecast and in the popup you have a "Test connection" button.
Maybe it does not measure the actual speed of the chromecast through internet but between your pc and the chromecast on the local network, but it's better than nothing..
I've heard this is a good app to use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
There are Android apps (free) that will test CC speeds, too.
eg: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
> Makes sense. I got excited you somehow tested Chromecast’s speed.
There are actually apps that can do this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en_US
try something like this if there is the equivalent on iOS
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en
What speeds are you getting with:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast&hl=en
A quick Google search finds this Android app.
Technically the Chromecasts (before the ccwgtv) are just glorified browsers without a user interface. So theoretically any speedtest that works in-browser should be able to run on the Chromecast as well.
I have Cox, I can easily do the 4K 20 GB/hr
Are you sure it's not your config? When I started having issues I traced it down to the position of my Chromecast vs wall
Try z speed test https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speed.chromecast
