The bad news is that Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is made by TinyCo, the makers of Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, and they suck, much worse than EA ever has. This also makes it very unlikely there will be any crossover between Worlds of Tomorrow and Tapped Out.
Didn't realize that and just looked it up.
Plus side: Yay! Futurama City Builder!
Down side: It's by TinyCo, makers of Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff. They have a history of making their apps only really playable if you pay to play.
To mobile users: since AA's mobile site is ad-infested, below is a summary of the article.
> Jam City’s TinyCo has joined forces with the creator of the show Matt Groening and his Curiosity Company to develop an adventure game called Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow.

> The upcoming game will include simulation, combat, galactic exploration, and choose-your-own-adventure mechanics. There are two main settings to choose from. The first is the New New York, where you’ll have to rescue characters, collect special items and materials, and tackle story-driven quests. The second is called Space Adventures, where your mission is to explore as well as battle your way through various planets and nebulas.
There's no release date but
> the game is listed on the Google Play Store and those of you interested can already pre-register.
it's not these but there are a couple officially licensed mobile games as well:

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is pretty much the same game but with an RPG-like fighting minigame. I just didn't gel with it in quite the same way, but that's probably because the only reason why I enjoy Tapped Out is due to the amount of time I've already put into it.
I've heard good things about Family Guy The Quest for Stuff too, and it's by the same people who made the Futurama game. Not much of a Family Guy fan though so I've never tried it.
Does it have a storage system like BuildIt or Hayday? Seems like the storage system is their way of adding a soft paywall.
Just pre-registered for Futurama.
Looks like it's the same dev that did Quest for Stuff.

It was great for about a year from 2017 to 2018. then the dev stopped updating it to do that Harry potter game.

Here's to hoping that this update will be 'compatible' again with my Samsung S7 so I can update from the Play store instead of having to download an apk directly...

There's also this one, though I assume it's typical mobile trashware.
