What is Reddit's opinion of Glance Plus?

This seems like a good start, I hope it'll receive regular updates. In the meantime, I'd suggest Glance Plus, as that one is much more customizable.

I think I might have found out about it. Seems like the "Always On" display (seems to be the correct term) does only show *some* apps symbols. Now started using Glance Plus https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thsoft.glance&hl=en_GB&showAllReviews=true Does seem to work so far.

• Glance Plus - my new favorite thing. Shows the time, battery, and simple notifications while the screen is off. Can be constant (been using it at night while charging as a night stand clock) or tripped by the proximity sensor. (Recommended for AMOLED screens so it doesn't suck your battery.)
• GSam Battery Monitor - see where your juice is going.
• Llama - simpler than tasker, uses WiFi or cell phone towers to determine location and make your phone do things (different ringtone at home, silent at work, etc).
• Material Notes - like Keep but with individual home screen note widgets.

Found the app Glance Plus that could do this. There are other background images too.

You can try Glance Plus. I'm using it on Nokia 6 and it shows all notifications including Facebook and Whatsapp.
