Yeah it's great! It's called Hole 19: Google Play | iTunes.
Hole 19 says that it's Gear compatible, but I don't own a Samsung watch to tell you how well that integration works.
I've used in with an Android Wear watch and it worked well. Only complaint was that it used the GPS of my phone instead of my watch. My phone's battery is is on its last leg, so constant GPS on my phone gets me to somewhere in the middle of the back 9 before I get dangerously low on battery.
The watch works without the premium membership for Hole 19 (at least for Android Wear) to get shot counting and front/middle/back distances, but you need to upgrade to premium if you want to be able to track all of your shots and compile data about each club.
I have that app too, it's great. It's called Hole 19: Google Play | iTunes.
You'll get much better battery life with something like the Huawei Watch 2 or Ticwatch Pro, but those watches will work! You'll want to try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hole19golf.hole19.beta and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hole19golf.wear
Hole 19 works well.
GolfPad GPS requires a premium subscription to get Android Wear support.
I have not tried Swing by Swing or GolfShot
It's very possible I'm missing some, but those are the only 4 apps I could find that have any sort of Android Wear support for distances (there are obviously a bunch more golf GPS apps, but they only work on the phone). They all require syncing with a phone app and always use the GPS of the phone (even if it's available on a watch).
For watches with GPS, Hole 19 does offer a separate standalone golf GPS app for an Android Wear watch. It works OK, but I found it to be relatively buggy and take a while to get the right distance. I don't know if it was the app or the watch (Huawei Watch 2) though. My phone's battery has seen better days and unfortunately only lasts until the middle of the back 9 with a GPS tracking app on, so I'd rather use the watch's GPS at all possible -- unfortunately the Hole 19 standalone watch app is the only golf app I've been able to find that uses the watch's GPS.
Here is another wear golf app, not sure if it's better than these 2 though https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hole19golf.hole19.beta&hl=en
