You may have better luck in /r/gamingsuggestions or /r/roguelites.
Roguelikes by definition are singleplayer and Soul Knight is not a roguelike as far as this sub is concerned.
My recommendation would be Hero Siege but I've only played it solo on PC so I have no idea how the co-op works on android.
Check out Hero Seige? Funny thing, I just got a notification for it going on sale this morning from $11. Reviews make the controls seem iffy though.
It has a very similar gameplay loop to Diablo 3. Each level can be completed in 5-10 minutes so it's great for short play sessions. There's a solid online community but I play offline and it's still very enjoyable.

Since TQ, Eternium, Vengeance and Battleheart Legacy have already been mentioned, I would like to mention Hero Siege. Very deep game (minimal story though) in terms of classes, loot, builds, etc.
It is a bit pricey unfortunately but they regularly have 70% discount sales.
I play hero siege. It's relatively old and not "MMO" RPG, but it is very similar to Diablo 2 game lobby system with tens of thousands of active players daily. It's completely cross-platform, which keeps it relevant and active. The app is like $10USD but often goes on sale for 90% off.
If you're patient Hero Siege goes on sale often and supports controller.

Edit: They added a new game to the Play Games Store (Hero Siege Pocket Edition) $8.99 and now I can't test if it works for me since I don't have that money... so sorry for not being much help.
