A fucking undo option. It's 2015 dammit, and I didn't want to delete that 5000 word essay, I wanted to copy it. I shouldn't have to download a separate app for this, but until they fix this (I've heard that Android M has this finally), Imputing + works.
Have you ever typed something up, then switch between apps doing your thing then you go back to that app it refreshes aaaaaaand your text is gone? Inputting+ is basically a keylogger but for your own private use. You can look at what you were typing up in each app and even look at revision history. This has come to the rescue multiple times when an app let me down or I forgot what I was typing or I accidentally closed an app or I forgot what I searched for in Spotify.
I've found an awesome app that allows the use of undo and redo commands aswell as a history of your clipboard in case you need to come back to something.
I was searching for something similar as a root function but didn't find anything, Inputting however works pretty well as a non root app.

Actually undo is implemented in Android, but you need a physical keyboard to press control and Z to undo stuff. Else I don't know any built-in way to do that.
BUT there's an app for that, you can use Inputting Plus, which lets you undo things and much more. I used it for a while and it works as intended.
Try these apps: 1) Check out "Inputting Plus: Ctrl + Z/F/C/V". https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.catchingnow.undo 2) Check out "Typing Control [ Undo edits & Move cursor ]" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tafayor.typingcontrol 3) Or you can search for "AnySoftKeyboard". It also has this feature although this feature is a bit hidden. I think, it is accessible by swiping up on spacebar (not sure).
I'm using Inputting+ which keeps track of what you have written, across various apps, and offers an undo function, if you for instance deleted too much. It's very neat.

It's not a keyboard, but does something similar: Inputting Plus: Ctrl + Z/F/C/V
I think it's even better since you can use any keyboard you like and go back (ctrl+z) anytime and several times ;)
Yeah, that's one of the things I would want. Currently using the following app to handle it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.catchingnow.undo
Inputting Plus: enables features like undo, redo, and find and replace when in a text field
Texpand Pro: text expansion that is keyboard independent
Stitch & Share: can be used for stitching multiple screenshots together; useful for taking a screenshot of a scrolling list (Samsung has a similar feature but it would be nice to have in AOSP)
Wifi Key View: allows you to view the password for wifi networks you've saved. Unfortunately it requires root.
Investigate inputting plus
I think you'll love it.

Downloading now, looks quite useful. Play Store link for anyone else interested.
Inputting+ is a better option, imo.

No keyboard install required.
I use Inputting+ for text input, but even for that it's a sort of kludgy solution that doesn't always work.

For undo redo etc
Inputting Plus was something someone found as an alternative.
Have you tried Inputting+ ?
